About: I started taking care of the family dog a few years ago. With him, I administered medication in a positive way and helped train him. I am comfortable using a harness and a regular collar. I also helped train my senior dog on his reactivity with positive reinforcement. Currently, I am on summer break. I work as a teacher during the school year, so my availability for the next few months is open. At my apartment, my roommate’s dog I take out every 2-3 hours and I give him lots of cuddles. I keep an eye out for anything around me to make sure it is safe.

About: Hello! My name is Abby and I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and plants since 2015. Pet-sitting truly is my joy!! I have experience checking in on pets during the day time, cleaning litter boxes, taking dogs of all shapes and sizes on walks, and overnight house sitting for up to 2 weeks at a time. Thanks to my daytime job as a Youth Pastor my schedule is more flexible than most. I pride myself on customizing each pet sitting experience to the pet and their owner(s). The beauty of pet sitting over boarding is that this experience can be tailored to what YOUR special needs are! Like I said my experience is considerable, I am also self taught for basic pet training. For instance, if your dog has a history of on-leash walking issues, while I’m with them I’d be happy to plant seeds for good behavior on future walks. Just say the word and I’ll do everything I can to make it happen! Historically I’ve acquired jobs mainly from word of mouth. While I may be newer to a platform like Rover, know that I am a well-seasoned pet sitter who has experience with a variety of households, breeds, ages, and situations. This means I have a very flexible schedule and am able to pop in to care for your pets at the needed times or even work remotely if needed. Most weeks my meetings are limited to Tuesday mornings, otherwise my schedule is pretty fluid. While I am unable to offer my own home for pet sitting, I can guarantee that I will care for your pet(s) in their home environment as well as I would my own. If you have a dog, one of my first questions I ask when pet-sitting is… “how long is your dog accustomed to waiting in between potty breaks?” I ask because each pet has different needs and I never want to make a dog wait longer than they typically would. I also want to keep to their normal schedule as much as possible, if they’re used to daily walks at certain times or being feed at very particular times then I will make notes to care for them the same way you do. The goal truly is for the dog or cat to receive the same attention and care that they have when their favorite people are home :)

About: I have had dogs in my family for throughout my whole life, so I have grown up around them. I have watched my dogs multiple times while my parents were away. I have also dogsat for other families over night and during the day. I am a student at UNC Chapel Hill, so I could pet sit anytime outside of my classes. I am happy to dog sit overnight. I also have time in between classes to stop by or take walks. I do not currently have an area to take care of pets at my home. I have experience pet sitting overnight and am very comfortable with animals.

I have no problem w/ Pee Pee/Poo Poo, pad disposal, turf cleaning and walk through's to find accidents so that when you're back, you enjoy your time! STARTING MAY30th for all your SUMMER care needs; I am available everyday and am flexible with times! I am a school teacher and can spend this interim time getting to know you and your needs prior to to your departure for vacations, outings, work trips or get-aways! One summer weekend is my vacation; dates are July 25-27th, unable to provide services.; it is a Saturday, Sunday and a Monday. Safety: Dog-My medium sized Westie (Sallie Mae) needs: Door shut immediately behind me (both glass door and hardwood door). She uses a harness/retractable leash for walks and a collar/retractable leash for short walk around house for fresh air/bathroom break. I am mindful always of any visible items on the floor that may have been dropped and could be of hazard! I also vacuum daily to reach areas under the bed for this reason also. I check that her pet stairs to my bed are placed accordingly to get accessibility to the bed. Food and water are always checked twice daily and located in 2 different parts of the house. Cat- My cat (Baby Muffin) does not try to escape to the outdoors (yet.....), however; as a precaution I rarely open my sliding glass door open largely or for any longer than necessary. I am mindful always of any visible items on the floor that may have been dropped and could be of hazard! I also vacuum daily to reach areas under the bed for this reason also. Food and water are always checked twice daily and located in 2 different parts of the house. I am always aware of her visibility, for example, if she does not appear when I am home or prior to leaving my home; I check for any closed coset doors, cabinets, etc. for a place she may have accidentally been trapped. Trust: Dog-My Westie needs immediate attention and "lovins'" when I walk through the door. Prior to leaving her she is talked to a prepped for me leaving by telling her key statements and then leaving three varieties of chew bones in front of the refrigerator (which she waits for). Trust is provided through routine and consistency. For example, everyday a You Tube video plays a repeating jazz coffee house with ambiance. I also take the measure of saying her name with happy intentions prior to entering my home to ensure she knows it is me at the door. Trust is continuing to repeat the names of her toys daily with playtime and telling her what is happening prior to a walk, etc. or getting close to dinner, bedtime or a ride/walk. Cat-My cat gets talked to immediately when arriving home to ensure she knows just how loved she is! I call her name sweetly and she's petted. She is given cat treats in her special bowl twice a day. At my house, I try to provide trust through routine and consistency. I offer her many places to sleep by herself with her special blankets and provide toys rotated for stimulation (springs, play mice and of course a random paper bag!) Environment: Sallie Mae and Baby Muffin: I have a daily routine where they are give their special treats twice a day, keeping fresh food and water available and rotated, clean bedding for their special sleeping. Our daily routine includes that the TV is left on with YouTube coffee-house jazz ambience and I always provide calming statements of affirmation for them when leaving for the day and again when arriving home. Cat- In the morning, the litterbox is cleaned with scooper and fresh litter is added as needed. I then take that trash out so that litter is not a bad fragrance when returning home. Cat hairballs are discarded as needed and floor area cleaned. Dog- Twice a week I clean a Turf system and relace turfs with clean ones while the others are rinsed and dried. Monthly grooming for her is provided through a mobile service. However; I give Sallie Mae a bath anytime it is needed with special shampoo, tepid warm water with a shower sprayer and then immediately wash and dry her towels that were used.

About: I have always had a fondness for animals, I believe they show us the best parts of love! I have taken care of many animals including cats, dogs, and goats for many friends and family. I love spending time with the little babies who need a bit of extra attention, time, and patience! I am currently employed full time within walking distance from my apartment. About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was a child and have a furry crew of 4 myself! I work full time as a pediatric nurse. Not all of my skills translate but it does mean I’m comfortable with medications and medically complex pets. I can’t wait to meet you and your crew! ❤️ I’m not currently working as a sitter I just can’t figure out how to switch over my account or open a new one with the same phone number. I have a small fenced in yard for my dogs but they much prefer to go to the bosque or other parks in the area.

About: I have always loved animals. I very much care about their comfort and wellbeing. I’m also always ready for a good puppy or kitty cuddle! I have a pretty open schedule usually. I just need a heads up in advance. For drop ins I usually prefer afternoons, but it’s interchangeable. I can stay with your dog for most of the day usually, if needed. I’d also be happy to feed, play with, and walk them.
