About: Hello all! My name is Melissa and I've been working with animals most of my life and have so loved being able to do so! On top of being a pet owner all my life, I've been an avid horseback rider which meant I was always barn sitting and pet sitting from a young age. I've cared for up to 20 horses and 6 dogs at one time, so no dog is too big :) I've worked with many sizes, breeds and personalities in dogs and I take a personalized approach when it comes to pet care. I have two of my own dogs, Oakley and Theo.If you're looking for an active household, we're definitely it! We spend most of our time on our farm and work from home part of the week. Pets have always been family to us and your pets would be treated and loved just like ours. Ask me about multi dog discounts or other pricing concerns! I have a hybrid work schedule, working from home part of the week. This gives me some flexibility for pet care during the week and on the weekends! We only keep one pet/one familyâs pets at a time. We live on a quiet road with tons of space to safely run and play
âI am writing to highly recommend Samantha (Grace) for pet sitting services. She was a wonderful fit for my dogs. Samantha's genuine love for animals and her commitment to their care were immediately evident. My dogs absolutely adored the attention she gave them. She was also incredibly reliable and consistent with her timing, which is crucial for my dogs' routine. I will certainly be using her services again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend her. Best regards, Troy Machamerâ

âThese two girls have gone over and above to help us with our new pup and our two older dogs! Whenever we come home from work after they have been walked by them the pups are in the happiest moods! Thank you both for all you have done for us and being so helpful with my husbandâs and I changing of schedules!â

âNatalie was great! She was communicative and friendly and made us feel safe leaving our dog in her care for the weekend. It was clear he was given plenty of love and attention while we were away and we would absolutely book with her in the future.â

About: Hello! My name is Katrina, I am an elementary school counselor currently saving up to buy a home! I have my own dog, Milo, a 4-year old lab mix but I have always loved dogs and have experience volunteering at service dog training facilities, shelters, and I have fostered dogs, as well! I have done dog walking and petsitting for multiple years now and have experience working with all types of dogs, small or large, reactive or non-reactive, all energy levels, and I love them all :) I will update you as much as you want on your pet when I am with him or her, I know it can be stressful to be away from them but I promise they are in good hands if they are with me! I currently work full-time so I am available after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends! I am more than happy to work with your schedule. I have a large, fenced-in backyard and my own dog that loves to spend time outside. Please let me know whether your dog is more of an indoor/outdoor dog and how I can adjust the environment to fit his/her needs.
âElise did a great job taking care of my two cats! She is responsive, reliable and made sure both my cats (Who are usually very timid around new people) felt safe and comfortableâ

âRebekah has just started working with our 9 week old puppy who is very fragile, fast & tiny. She is fun loving, careful & trustworthy. We are so happy to have met her & to be working with her.â

About: I have always loved animals. I very much care about their comfort and wellbeing. Iâm also always ready for a good puppy or kitty cuddle! I have a pretty open schedule usually. I just need a heads up in advance. For drop ins I usually prefer afternoons, but itâs interchangeable. I can stay with your dog for most of the day usually, if needed. Iâd also be happy to feed, play with, and walk them.
About: Iâve taken care of multiple animals since the age of 7. Iâve had 3 different dogs and dog breeds, and they were always loving and happy to be in my care. I currently have an 11 year old healthy yorkie who has had such a happy life filled with love, people think sheâs a puppy still. I am naturally knowledgeable about important information when dealing with animals, and Iâve also been a temporary care taker for my grandma. Im currently an 18 year old whoâs finished with highschool, aspiring to become a student in esthetician school so I have plenty of time for your adorable fur babies! Iâm available from 6 am- 7 pm. I have a fenced backyard, an alarm system on my house, a quiet, clean home, and a calm, kind 11 year old female yorkshire terrier at home along with my mom and my 5 year old little brother.
About: Hello! My name is Jenna. I am a 26 year old graduate student at Wake Forest and a registered nurse. I have a 4 year old Newfoundland-Bernese Mountain Dog mix named Phoebe who I love more than anything, and she is very friendly with other animals and other people. She would love more company! I know I want the best care possible for her when I am not able to do so. I want to be there for your pets when they deserve genuine care in the absence of you. Most importantly, I want YOU to be comfortable with who you choose to leave caring for your pets, because they are truly a part of your family. I have taught Phoebe tricks, I run with her, I brush and bathe her daily, feed and water her daily, and walk her every day for about an hour by the trail next to my house. I take great caution to assure the animals under my care are happy and healthy. I am very sociable, outgoing, and organized. My availability is very flexible throughout the day :) I wonât be away for longer than 4-6 hours at a time if I need to go to school in person for certain things, run errands, or study :) I will follow your lead in how you would like me to care for your dog and understand their schedule as best I can so they can still feel like they are in a routine! We will walk, play, and spend time together all day long.
âOur first experience with Rover couldnât have been better thanks to Gabriel! During his drop-in visits, he didnât just feed and check on our cats gently cared for them, even though it was tricky locating them since this was new for them too. His updates were thorough and reassuring, and he was professional and easy to connect with. Will absolutely be reaching out to Gabriel again-highly recommend!!â

About: I started taking care of the family dog a few years ago. With him, I administered medication in a positive way and helped train him. I am comfortable using a harness and a regular collar. I also helped train my senior dog on his reactivity with positive reinforcement. Currently, I am on summer break. I work as a teacher during the school year, so my availability for the next few months is open. At my apartment, my roommateâs dog I take out every 2-3 hours and I give him lots of cuddles. I keep an eye out for anything around me to make sure it is safe.
âAmazing as always. With Lauren and Layla watching over our pets, we get to fully relax on vacation knowing our dogs and home are in responsible, caring, competent hands. Can't recommend enough.â

About: I've been around animals my whole life and started informally pet sitting as a teenager â caring for animals has always felt second nature to me. I specialize in overnight and vacation care, and I'm especially comfortable with senior dogs. When I'm caring for your pets, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible â meals, walks, medications, and downtime on their schedule, not mine. I send updates and photos throughout the stay so you always know how things are going. My goal is for your pets to feel calm, cared for, and completely at home while you're away. Pet care is my full-time focus, not a side gig fit around another job. Since I run my own pet care business, I have the flexibility to offer consistent daily visits, extended overnight stays, and last-minute care when life happens. I provide care exclusively in your home, so your pet stays in their own familiar environment with their regular routine, food, and surroundings â no unfamiliar pets, no added stress of a new space. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, medication, and exercise, and keep to their normal schedule as much as possible. I treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want for my own, including respecting any house rules around access, cameras, and specific areas of the home. You'll get updates and photos throughout each visit or stay so you always know how things are going.
About: Iâve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was a child and have a furry crew of 4 myself! I work full time as a pediatric nurse. Not all of my skills translate but it does mean Iâm comfortable with medications and medically complex pets. I canât wait to meet you and your crew! â¤ď¸ Iâm not currently working as a sitter I just canât figure out how to switch over my account or open a new one with the same phone number. I have a small fenced in yard for my dogs but they much prefer to go to the bosque or other parks in the area.

âWe have used Nina twice for our pups and they adore her. Sheâs been the perfect sitter. The pups get lots of play time, lovin, treats, and I get pics/video sent to me. The pups love to get to see/play with her kids too. Next time we need a pet sitter we will definitely be booking with Nina.â

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lewisville
Hayden was so great with our kitties during our long weekend trip! Both cats (a new kitten + a senior) warmed up quickly to Hayden and loved their time together playing and snuggling. Hayden was so helpful with both of our cats, and we are glad we found a pet lover like her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your catsâ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lewisville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
