About: Raised my own dog and his puppy from birth, now experienced with senior care. Pet sitting is natural to me, it's not just a job. I currently have a part time job and in college. My hours vary through the week but they are set depending the season because of school. I have a senior dog, so he can either be relaxed or playful. So I can always adjust to my babies needs and I can do the same for yours!

About: Hi all, I’ve had dogs my whole life and am currently living in a little hobby farm breeding labs (collecting chicken eggs and growing veggies!). I’m in grad school and using this to pay for books and keep me sane! During the day hours work really well for me. Happy to walk and feed pets while you are at work! Getting them some play and sun are what I love to do. I’d love to come to you! So give me your details and I’ll make it there. I am eager to move and play with your pets!

About: I was raised on a farm with cats and dogs. I have a plott hound mix, a pit bull, a lab, and a sassy calico cat, all rescues, of my own. I have a lot of compassion for animals and treat them like members of the family, albeit spoiled ones. My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while their human(s) are gone. I am comfortable with cats and small to large dogs at any energy level. My neighbors, vet, and friends can provide references, if needed. I work in education, so my summer schedule is wide open. Nights, weekends, and some holidays are possible during the school year. I am able to check in, walk, stay overnight, etc. In your home, I will follow the instructions given and take pictures to let you know your pets are well taken care of. My goal is to make them as comfortable as possible while their humans are away.

About: I’ve spent over 10 years caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve owned four dogs, including my English Mastiff, Moose, and have experience with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need medication or extra support. I’ve also helped family and friends with dog-sitting for years, giving me hands-on experience with large breeds and dogs who thrive on structured routines. Whether your pet needs exercise, engagement, or companionship, I’m ready for the job! I’m currently a PhD student at Wake Forest University, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for your pets. I work in downtown Winston-Salem and am typically free after 3 pm on weekdays and available on weekends, late nights, and for drop-in visits throughout the week. I’m able to step away from my responsibilities to ensure your pets receive consistent attention and care. I always follow your instructions and respect your home and your pet’s routines. I focus on creating a calm, positive environment, whether that means adhering to feeding schedules, administering medication, or keeping your pet engaged through walks and play. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable and well cared for.

About: I have grown up with all kinds of animals from house pets to farm animals. I currently do Rover full-time, but have worked at a dog boarding/training facility and have worked with/handled dogs of all sizes and breeds. Although I have more experience around dogs I love cats just as much! I have no issues with certain breeds, ages, sizes, or handling medicine (so long as it is nothing a professional vet should handle). I can’t wait to watch and care for your fur babies! I pet-sit full time, giving me plenty of free time to walk, watch, and love your pets! My schedule is also very flexible making it easier to schedule based off your needs! I do have my own dog but unfortunately she is not friendly with other animals. Because of this I can only do daycare/overnight at clients own homes and walks/check-ins. I have plenty of personal and professional experience with aggressive animals and have no issues watching/walking aggressive dogs so long as both me and you are comfortable with it. With that being said it is important to me that any aggressive behavior whether with animals and/or people is told upfront and honestly as well meeting the dog ahead of time.

About: I've had pets of all types all my life and couldn't be happier about it! I live right near a park for walking near me, work my own hours at home so am flexible anytime, and can even bring my own Siberian Husky if requested for puppy playdates etc.. I work my own schedule and at my own volition from home (part contract work, part commission) so im incredibly open as to days, hours, or times. Again, ive had a Siberian Husky since he was about 3 months old in 2017 and have raised him to be well-behaved since then. Anyone who has met a husky knows theyre some of the most hyper-active and high maintenance dogs so I'm condient in my skills. Have also raised cats, snakes, bunnies, and even chickens before so I have a wide range of pet care skills.

Kami did a great job with my four pets. The dogs loved her and she was so sweet to them. She even brought her own towels to dry them off from the rain. I will definitely be booking with her again.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Rural Hall stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rural Hall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Rural Hall with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rural Hall. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
