About: I have over four years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, including managing illnesses, administering medications, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Through this experience, I’ve learned to pay close attention to canine behavior and body language, allowing me to pick up on subtle cues about a dog’s comfort, needs, and emotions. I understand how to respond calmly in emergency situations and how to help dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether it’s encouraging a dog to eat, maintaining their routine, or simply providing companionship, I approach every dog with patience, attentiveness, and genuine compassion. I truly see dogs as family members and believe they deserve the same respect, kindness, and care that we give to people. My goal is to make every dog feel loved, secure, and understood while they’re in my care. As a therapist who works from home, I am able to provide consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. My schedule includes regular breaks, allowing me to attend to your dog’s needs, offer potty breaks, playtime, walks, affection, and companionship without long periods of separation. My home has a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, as well as multiple rooms that can be used to give dogs their own space when needed. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and are treated like part of the family, creating a comfortable, home-like environment rather than a kennel atmosphere. Most importantly, I will be home the entire time your dog is in my care, ensuring they receive attentive supervision, comfort, and companionship throughout their stay.
“First time leaving my dog with anyone other than family so I was anxious to say the least. Thankfully, Ashley was agreeable to a meet and greet before my trip which helped put me at ease. During my trip, she text updates and pics of my girl regularly! This also put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my time away with friends!”

“So .... I must write a 2nd review for Suzanne an Ryan. I LOVE THEM. Totally. Completely. Unequivocally. I have used Rover services for quite a few months this year ... and have been happy with quite a few pet sitters and unhappy with some pet sitters. Suzanne and Ryan shine above everyone I have used to date. And I say this will all sincerity and honesty - my experience with them has been bond-building --- they are good people and excellent pet sitters. My Heidi went into heat at 7 months of age. Her brother was naturally driven crazy and my house quickly became a breeding ground - and it was challenging and scary to say the least! I needed a quick solution to get Blue out of the house so I could continue working and have some sort of normalcy until I could get him neutered. I contacted Suzanne and she quickly responded - within 5 minutes of my sending the message. We talked and long story short - she and Ryan kept Blue for three weeks! I tried to get Blue back home after 1.5 weeks, but not realizing Heidi was still in heat - we almost had another major incident and had to get Blue out of the house ... again. Ryan came by that night and picked up Blue and he continued staying with them until last Thursday. The way my Blue responds to them - it is so easy to see the love Blue has in his heart for both Ryan and Suzanne! Dogs are open books when it comes to how they feel about humans - and my Blue LOVES this family! They even cooked homemade meals for him - they went the extra mile for us and Blue felt loved and safe with them. Its a family affair - their son Jack is very responsible and he helps with caring for the pups too. They are now officially Uncle Ryan and Aunt Zanne - they are my puppies' second family - thanks to Rover. I will continue using their services again and again. They have won our hearts - forever.”
“Christopher was very sweet and attentive to Turkey. He sent me updates and pictures while I was away. Turkey had a great time and loved playing with other friends!”

“Our pups love staying at Jenna and Shane’s. They take such amazing care of our dogs and keep us posted daily on how they are doing. Highly recommend and we are so glad we found them!”

“Awesome sitter! Sharonda and her dog were very friendly and inviting from beginning to the end. She checked in frequently regarding Benji and sent pics while I was away. I would definitely recommend her for your pet care needs!”

“Xariyah blew me away!!! I was so nervous about leaving my baby because I just moved here and he's used to only my family watching him, but I had no other option than to find him a sitter. Xariyah will be his family from now on though because we will definitely be a regular! She treated my baby as if he was her own and he had such an amazing time with her and her kitty. She sent me constant updates and pictures and reassured me after he had a rough first day with anxiety away from me and he was back to his normal self by the next day. I'm beyond happy that I chose her and will definitely be using her again! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much Xariyah!”

“We had to board Pickle for 2 weeks for an extended trip and were really worried about him due to a recent bad experience. But Jared and Sharon reassured us they would treat Pickle as their own and they totally delivered on their promise. Pickle seemed really happy while he was with them and they provided regular updates and photos throughout. Thanks very much for welcoming Pickle and giving him a home away from home, much appreciated!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rural Hall
Nick is absolutely incredible! This was the very first time our dogs, Maverick and Cowboy, have ever stayed away from home, so we were naturally a bit nervous about leaving them. Nick completely eased our minds. He was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive to both of them as they adjusted to a new environment. He kept us updated, showed them so much love, and treated them like his own. We are so grateful for his wonderful care and will definitely be trusting him with Maverick and Cowboy again in the future. Highly recommended!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
