“Paisley was great! Very communicative and easy to deal with. Gave us great updates while we were away and made coordinating pickup and drop off very easy. Definitely will hire her again!”

“Jane was so wonderful with my dog. After meeting with her, I knew Dixie was going to be in great hands. I received a lot of updates throughout my trip, and I could see on the pictures that Dixie was acting like she was at home. Jane understood her personality really well, so I highly recommend her to anyone who feels anxious leaving their pet for a short or long period of time. I already have her booked for my next trip. Jane was also extremely accommodating with the pick up time. After my flight back home got canceled, she understood the circumstances and told me not to worry about Dixie, that she was going to be taken care of. That was such a relief, and so appreciated. Thank you Jane for taking such great care of Dixie!”

“Excellent sitter! Very caring, attentive and loving. Sends pics and msgs to keep me updated so we could enjoy our holiday while knowing he was being were taken care of. Thank you so much and I will definitely rebook for future trips!”

“I’m so glad I found Starla on Rover to care for Tootsie while I took a 12-day trip. She was great at sending photos and giving me a daily update. There was never any doubt that my dog was getting the best care and so much love and attention.”

“Our pups had a wonderful stay! Stephanie easily comforted Jade through a pretty bad storm. I received lots of communication and pictures. These dogs are whooped after all the fun they had!”

“Yasmeen took such good care of our pup, Elly! Elly is a very high-energy Boston Terrier who gets anxious if she is home alone for too long, so we are so thankful we could find Yasmeen who worked from home and could be there for Elly!”

“Jasmine has been a blessing to me and my fur baby. I feel like she was heaven sent. Reign just 2 months old and we have never been apart but Jasmine made my uncomfortable go into ease within a few hours of having my baby. She sent so many updates, pics and videos. Jasmine and her kids are amazing. Children are very well manner and respectful. Nobody else will ever be able to keep Raign but Jasmine. She is now family. If I could rate her a 10 ⭐ I would.”
“This is the first time my pet was away from us with new pets and people. The best choice ever. They were very responsibe and made sure my pet had a wonderful time. We got many pictures and updates of how he was doing. I recommend them 100% and will go back”

About: I have always had a fondness for animals, I believe they show us the best parts of love! I have taken care of many animals including cats, dogs, and goats for many friends and family. I love spending time with the little babies who need a bit of extra attention, time, and patience! I am currently employed full time within walking distance from my apartment. I go on walks in the morning and evening, and would love more companions! I have a knack for reading how people/animals are doing in new situations, so I do my best to provide a gentle, patient, and loving home away from home!
“Christopher was incredible. I had a very last minute need to board for two days over a weekend and he was able to be extremely flexible for us. Had to drop her off late and then picked her up early due to my crazy work schedule and he was more than willing to accommodate. Will be brining my girl Zoey back to him again for sure.”

“Leigha was wonderful with my one hear old energetic Rat Terrier, Abby. She sent me messages, photos and videos on a regular basis. It was clear Abbie was relaxed and happy. Leigha has a darling little dog that quickly became my dog's best friend. I would highly recommend Leigha.”
“Shelly is/was a life saver! My plans changed several times and in the chaos of it all I forgot to confirm the booking.... but Shelly was accommodating and helped put my mind at ease. My dogs are pretty easy going, however I do have one that has seizures sometimes. I felt completely confident in Shelly's ability to handle one if it happened. Keeping Kennedy (my dog) calm helps keep her from having seizures. Shelly's home is warm, calm and comfortable. It was a perfect stay! I will definitely be using her again.”
“Morgan was absolutely amazing! She treated our pet like family and gave us regular updates that brought so much peace of mind while we were away. The environment was clean, calm, and clearly set up with care. We came home to a happy, healthy pet who clearly felt loved. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend Morgan and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Natalie did a great job in taking care of our pet. She was flexible and open from the beginning so it was easy to setup a visit time, pickup, and drop off. My puppy learned a lot from her and her two dogs during the stay, and she kept giving me updates. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and families and let my puppy stay there in the future :)”

“It’s always a pleasure having Nina watch our Rocky & Bruce. They love being at her house and running in the backyard. She keeps us updated, sends us videos and photos. We feel at ease when we leave them at her home. We know they will be taken care of.”
“We LOVE Pat! She took such wonderful care of our baby, Linnie. From the very first time I met her, I instantly knew she was the perfect fit. Pat has such a warm, loving, and cozy energy — both she and her home made us feel completely comfortable leaving Linnie in her care. She sent pictures, videos, and regular updates throughout Linnie's stay, which meant so much to us. We will absolutely be using Pat again for any future needs!”

“Talia and Austin are the kindest people around and our dog is so well taken care of. Our dog has so much fun while she is at their house and returns exhausted which is all that we can ask for!”

“Catie did so amazing looking after Sonny. Her own dogs are the sweetest and easy to get along with. She was sweet enough to send me pictures during my trip away to keep me updated on how Sonny was doing.”

“Amanda was amazing! We needed to book a sitter last minute and over 4th of July weekend at that and she was so accommodating. Not only was she great at communicating and sending updates, you could tell how happy our pup was during his stay from all the pictures! Will 100% rebook if we travel to Salem again, we had a great experience!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clemmons
I can’t say enough great things about Elizabeth! She took amazing care of my senior dog, Max, who hasn’t been boarded in years and was understandably anxious. She handled his pacing and accidents with total grace and professionalism. I loved the steady communication and photos — it made the whole experience stress‑free. Her spot near Peace Haven/Lewisville‑Clem Rd is super convenient, and her own pups are the sweetest. I highly recommend her for any dog sitting or boarding needs.

Nelcy was fantastic! She kept our two high-energy Aussies, and everything was great. She sent pictures and updates throughout the week and went out of her way to make our dogs comfortable. We would definitely board with her again in the future and recommend her to other pet parents looking for a reliable sitter.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Molly and her family! They took absolutely incredible care of my dog, Charlie. Molly and her daughter were home throughout the day, giving him constant attention, love, and companionship. They kept me updated with multiple photos every day, and it was clear from his happy face that Charlie felt completely at home. Knowing he was so loved and well cared for made me feel secure and at peace while traveling away from my baby. I am beyond grateful and would highly recommend Molly to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring home for their pup while away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
