Introduction: Hi, I'm Tara! Thank you for considering my husband and me for your pet care needs. We’re a dedicated pet care team offering services such as pet sitting in our home, pet day care, drop-in visits, and walking. Rest assured, your furry family member will be loved and cared for as if they were our own. ❤️ Experience & Background: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up, my family cared for a variety of animals on our farm, including chickens, pigs, and even horses. My mother volunteered for St. Francis Wildlife Rescue, introducing us to more exotic animals like baby woodpeckers and flying squirrels. I’ve also had the joy of raising cats, dogs, fish, and even a pet possum named Houdini. Currently, my husband and I are stay-at-home parents to two human kids, a granddaughter, and a house full of fur babies. From Great Pyrenees to Chihuahuas, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Our pack includes three spirited Huskies, all of which were former boarders with us, a lovable Beagle-Bassett mix, and a spicy chihuahua named Tabasco. We also have Simon, a fearless grey tabby who keeps everyone in line, and Mama Bay, a Bombay, who keeps the house lively! What to Expect: When your pet stays with us, they’ll enjoy: Supervised playtime in our spacious fenced yard. Separate feeding to ensure safety and comfort for all pets. Individual attention tailored to their unique needs. Crate safety during any brief periods when we’re not home. We also offer drop-in visits and walks, ensuring your pet gets plenty of exercise, love, and care. If approved, one of my dogs may even tag along to make a new friend! Additional Services & Policies: Safety First: Proof of rabies vaccination is required, and Bordetella is preferred. Medication Administration: I’m experienced with pills, including anti-seizure and chemo meds, and injectables, such as insulin. Travel & Treats: I’ll always ask for your permission before giving treats or taking your pet on outings. Learning & Giving Back: I’m a proud Supporting Member of IAABC, always seeking to expand my knowledge about animal behavior. Additionally, 10% of my proceeds go to Sit A Dog, Save A Life charities.
