About: **Please understand we can only consider requests with completed profiles. Think of it like online dating for pets—we just want to make sure it’s a good match on both sides! We share our home with one large, lovable dog—who just so happens to be the ultimate dog sitter! He’s incredibly gentle and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all breeds and sizes. With experience fostering through the Humane Society, we’ve developed a deep love and understanding for pups of all kinds. Spoiling them with love, care, and attention is just what we do best! **Just a heads-up—we’d really appreciate it if you could choose drop-off and pick-up times that match your plans as closely as possible. It helps us keep things running smoothly! If pick-up is after 10 PM, we kindly ask that your pup stays an extra night to keep things calm and comfy for everyone.** I work from home, so I’m able to take quick walk or play breaks throughout the day. Whether your pup needs a little activity or just some quiet companionship, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. While we don’t have a fenced yard, we do have a cozy screened-in sun porch where our own pups love to lounge and keep an eye on the birds. If your dog prefers a crate, I’m happy to accommodate that. And if they’re more into the laid-back lifestyle, they’re welcome to relax on the couch or guest bed—whatever makes them feel at home!
“Love Amanda!! She is so sweet and takes such great care of our Yorkie! She sends tons of pictures and some videos with a detailed update every visit. We use her everytime, would highly recommend!!”

“This was my first booking with Rebekah and I would definitely book her again. She was caring and conscientious, asked great questions and went well above and beyond expectations. Not only did she take great care of my cats, but it was wonderful to come home to a house that was as clean as I had left it.”

“Katrina did an amazing job at taking care of our kitty and sending us pictures to know she was okay! I would 100% recommend her to anyone and definitely reach out to her again for future needs!”

“Elise is a fantastic pet sitter! She’s reliable, a great communicator, and always leaves everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, our kitties are happy and content when we get home, which gives us tremendous peace of mind whenever we travel. Highly recommend!”

“Laura was fantastic and caring for our cat Cosmo! She was very communicative and flexible with our need for someone to check in during a holiday. Cosmo loved her. We will definitely be booking her again the next time we need someone to watch Cosmo!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for neighbors, friends, and coworkers since high school. From personal experience with my own pets to drop in visits for neighbors and friends, my love for animals drives me to provide thorough care with lots of cuddles (only if they like them, of course). I work a 9-5 schedule, so my mornings and evenings are always free to take care of your furry friends! My consistent schedule allows me to dedicate time to your pet's breakfast and dinner needs. I have years of experience with home visits! I will make sure I don’t leave a trace while taking care of your pets, whether that means cleaning dishes, consistently picking up in the yard, cleaning litter boxes, or whatever else you may need! I am happy to stay around for cuddles or be in and out, whatever fits your schedule and needs.
“Gabriel did a great job with our pets. He made sure a grumpy Maine Coon got his heart meds and made sure the Frenchie did not get overheated. I would recommend him to anyone.”

About: Growing up we have always had dogs and cats in the house, I couldn’t imagine not having each of them! We’ve had all different breeds and sizes that each lived 11-18 years, so I am used to taking care of old dogs and puppies. I’ve housesat/petsat for 7 different families over the years with dogs ranging from 8lbs to 210lbs!! I am currently a stay at home wife and I am working on school online. I have a lot of free time during the days my husband is at work. Mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, and fridays 8am-6pm. I will care for the pets as if they were my own. I like to try and keep the known routine of the pet going which should be easy if I am coming into the home of the pet. Overall just loving and caring for the dogs or cats while their owner is away!

“Sarah was AMAZING with our 2 year old Rottie mix and our 6 year old pug mix. She sent plenty of pictures and updates and went above and beyond taking care of our boys while my husband and I were away:)”

“Megan was great! She took excellent care of my kitties, following their care instructions exactly, and gave the kitties supervised porch time each day too. Megan was communicative and thorough. I would be happy to book Megan again in the future.”

“Celia was so good with my senior ladies. I felt confident that they were in good hands! I highly recommend her as a dog walker! She is-dependable, caring, and clearly loves animals. My dogs are excited to see her. She is punctual, communicates well, and always keep me updated. It’s such a relief knowing my dogs are in such great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!”

“Sarah was great and the pups loved playing with their new friend! She was prompt with the requested visit times and helped with cleaning up a few messes that they made. I'm not sure who had more fun, Sarah or the mutts!”

About: I myself have a deaf and anxious pup. From her, I have learned how to navigate certain tough situations. I have had to put so much time and effort into her training and am watching her become an amazingly happy and well behaved dog (she even knows a bit of sign language!) I also lost a buddy back in July. He was 14 years old and required medication administration many times a day. With him I learned a lot about helping the old guys feel as happy and safe as possible because they are probably scared of the changes they are experiencing in their lives. I am very active and love going on long walks, so having a dog there would just be an extra bit of fun! I am currently in school but only taking a few classes. I'll have time to play with your pups in the evening especially if you need a night off but they still need a walk! I live in an apartment so leashes are crucial. I would never let my own dog off the leash, so I would never put your dog in a situation where something could go wrong. My own dog is quite reactive on the leash, so if I sense that we are approaching a person/dog/object that might trigger her reactivity I usually steer clear of it to avoid any kind of avoidable altercation. I want every dog to feel safe so i will adjust based on what your dog’s body language is telling me.
About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I'm 25. I've taken care of, fostered, and owned many cats and dogs throughout all life stages. As a child, I always had animals in the house to take care of, and I've been dog/cat sitting since I was 16. I am familiar with kittens and puppies, but also with elderly dogs/cats as well as dogs/cats with various medical conditions that may need different kinds of medicine administration or lifestyle adjustments. I am currently working Wednesday-Sunday from 4pm until 10pm, but I am still available for overnight stays on all of those days as long as your pets are okay with me being away for those periods of time. I am available for house sitting bookings and short-term drop in visits at this time. I understand that keeping our pets safe and happy is of the highest priority, and how I will take care of your pets will reflect that. It is always important to make sure your pups are going on walks fit for their lifestyle/needs and that every cat is getting the stimulation they need while you are away.

We had such a great experience with Margaret! She was incredibly communicative, always on time, and stayed for the full length of every scheduled drop-in visit. I really appreciated the updates and knowing that our dog was getting the attention and care! Margaret was reliable, consistent, and gave me complete peace of mind. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and attentive sitter!

Definitely recommend Caleigh for a drop in visit! This was our first time doing Rover and as someone who was pretty nervous about it because at the end of the day you are trusting your pets/house to someone you have never met before, Caleigh gave us peace of mind when we first met. Definitely rebooking for our next trip. We have a recently diagnosed diabetic cat who needs insulin shots twice a day and it was no problem at all.

Can’t thank Caitlin enough for looking after my Charlie! I was SOOOOO nervous leaving Charlie, as it was my first time and first time using Rover, but Caitlin was extremely helpful and reassuring!! Charlie had such a great time, would totally recommend! 11/10

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
