About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals since the age of 7. I’ve had 3 different dogs and dog breeds, and they were always loving and happy to be in my care. I currently have an 11 year old healthy yorkie who has had such a happy life filled with love, people think she’s a puppy still. I am have a great instinct when dealing with animals, and I’ve also been a temporary care taker for my grandma. Im currently an 18 year old who’s finished with highschool, soon to become a student in esthetician school so I have plenty of time for your adorable fur babies! I’m available from 3 pm - 9 pm on weekdays, 8 am - 9 pm on weekends. I have a fenced backyard, an alarm system on my house, a quiet, clean home, and a calm, kind 11 year old female yorkshire terrier at home along with my mom and my 5 year old little brother.
“Eleanor went above and beyond. On her second day visiting, she discovered that my water heater had gone out and my bedroom was flooded. She communicated promptly and stayed an extra hour to keep my cat safe while maintenance came. My cat enjoyed her company and playtime and I loved seeing the photos of him while I was away!”

About: Growing up we have always had dogs and cats in the house, I couldn’t imagine not having each of them! We’ve had all different breeds and sizes that each lived 11-18 years, so I am used to taking care of old dogs and puppies. I’ve housesat/petsat for 7 different families over the years with dogs ranging from 8lbs to 210lbs!! I am currently a stay at home wife and I am working on school online. I have a lot of free time during the days my husband is at work. Mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, and fridays 8am-6pm. I will care for the pets as if they were my own. I like to try and keep the known routine of the pet going which should be easy if I am coming into the home of the pet. Overall just loving and caring for the dogs or cats while their owner is away!

“Upon meeting Adriana you could tell how compassionate she is for one's fur baby's! She was on time and played fetch with molly in the yard and spent quality time with her inside! Thank you again!”

“Nina is great! She was super flexible as my return dates fluctuated. Made my heart happy to know my crew was left in very capable hands! Will definitely use her again.”

“Sierra took great care of my cat while I was away on vacation. She was very informative, keeping me updated with notes and pics the entire time. I felt very confident leaving my cat in her capable hands. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing an animal looked after.”

“Laura is the best! He has helped us a lot the days we are working, she takes very good care of our puppy and always sends us photos and videos of him. Totally recommended!!”

“Hannah was able to drop in and take care of our pup while I was working 12+ hours and the sitter we had lined up ghosted us. We were very stressed and she came through and made sure our pup got the attention he needed, and gave us peace of mind by calling and sending updates and photos. I would definitely book Hannah again!”

About: Hi there! I'm a dedicated animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats through overnight pet sitting and as a foster home for my local Humane Society. As a foster caregiver, I've welcomed animals of all temperaments into my home — from shy, anxious pets who need extra patience and gentle reassurance, to energetic ones who need structure and play. This experience has taught me how to read animal behavior, manage different personalities under one roof, and provide the kind of attentive, compassionate care that helps pets truly thrive. Why Choose Me: My foster work means I'm trusted by my local Humane Society to care for vulnerable animals — and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your dog needs a cozy overnight partner or your cat needs a calm lap to settle in, I treat every pet like my own. I'd love to meet your furry family member! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet-and-greet. Being home full-time means your cat gets consistent, reliable care — no rushed visits squeezed between a busy schedule. I have the flexibility to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, and last-minute requests. Your cat's routine stays intact because mine can adapt to theirs. Your pet's safety and your peace of mind are my top priority. My experience as a Humane Society foster home means I've been vetted and trusted to care for vulnerable animals — so you can feel confident leaving your cat in my hands. I treat every home I enter with respect and every pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own.
“Elise is a fantastic pet sitter! She’s reliable, a great communicator, and always leaves everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, our kitties are happy and content when we get home, which gives us tremendous peace of mind whenever we travel. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life. Dogs in my family since before I was born. Adopted a stray kitten when I was still a kid. I’ve also had birds, fish, and rats over the years. I started pet sitting for friends as a teenager, so I’ve been taking care of other people’s pets for a long time too. I’d love to get to know your four-legged friends and make sure they’re well taken care of while you’re away. I'm currently in between jobs so have a lot of time to spend spoiling your fur babies. I'm available for both mornings and evenings. I am familiar with crate training and I have legs, so I can walk your dog. Additionally, I have hands so I can scoop food out of a bin and/or a can and then put the food in a bowl. Refilling water bowls? Expert right here. Kitty litter? Very unfun but also necessary.
“Amaya was very attentive to our cat while we were out of town! She went above and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone with an eye for detail and love for animals!”

“I am writing to highly recommend Samantha (Grace) for pet sitting services. She was a wonderful fit for my dogs. Samantha's genuine love for animals and her commitment to their care were immediately evident. My dogs absolutely adored the attention she gave them. She was also incredibly reliable and consistent with her timing, which is crucial for my dogs' routine. I will certainly be using her services again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend her. Best regards, Troy Machamer”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pfafftown
I was working 12+ hours and my husband was away for work. The sitter we had lined up ghosted us and my dog was left alone for over 8 hours. Frantic and stressed, we contacted Nina to see if she could do a last minute meet and greet and check in on our dog the next day. She was flexible and had great communication, and stayed with our pup for an hour. She relieved a ton of stress for us, and my dog seemed very happy when I got home. I'm so grateful she was able to step up for us!

Eleanor went above and beyond. On her second day visiting, she discovered that my water heater had gone out and my bedroom was flooded. She communicated promptly and stayed an extra hour to keep my cat safe while maintenance came. My cat enjoyed her company and playtime and I loved seeing the photos of him while I was away!

Hayden was so great with our kitties during our long weekend trip! Both cats (a new kitten + a senior) warmed up quickly to Hayden and loved their time together playing and snuggling. Hayden was so helpful with both of our cats, and we are glad we found a pet lover like her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
