About: Hi, my name is Meg. I’ve cared for animals my whole life, from cats and dogs to smaller companions like hamsters, fish, and hermit crabs. I have always been the go-to sitter for friends and family whenever they needed someone reliable and loving to care for their pets. I generally have very open availability. On weekdays I have a few short blocks set aside for classes, but they’re usually only a couple hours and easy for me to plan around. I’m flexible and happy to work with your pet’s routine tomake sure they get the care they need! I am in class 11am-2pm on MWF, and from 12pm-5pm on Thursdays, so I am unavailable for walks at those specific times. Keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy is my top priority. I supervise closely to make sure pets are secure, and I’m comfortable spending quiet time with shy or nervous animals to help them feel safe. I stick to your pet’s regular routine and carefully follow instructions to minimize stress and can provide extra playtime and snuggles for those who enjoy them. For overnight visits, I’m happy to sleep nearby pets or cuddle with them so they feels safe and cared for. I also take care of the practical side of pet care, including feeding, grooming (when the pet allows), cleaning litter boxes, and tidying feeding or play areas. On dog walks, I handle clean-up with doggy bags. I will keep your home organized and respected. I’ll check in with updates and photos so you can see that your pet is happy, safe, and loved while you’re away.

About: I have had my own dogs since I was 5 years old, so I am intimately familiar with caring for pups (grooming, feeding, giving medications, walking, playing, training). I also spent almost all of high school volunteering at the Durham County Animal Shelter, where I interacted with all kinds of dogs (walking, playing, providing enrichment) and cared for cats (cleaning cages, socializing). I am a college sophomore, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I am available throughout the week and most weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting during the school year. When in your home, I ensure any directions given are followed to the best of my ability and double check everything is done correctly before I leave. I’m not hesitant to ask questions when needed! I double check doors on my way out, and for walks ensure everything is fitted correctly. I have a leash-reactive dog myself, so I am comfortable redirecting or moving away from a situation that could escalate.

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own senior dog before she passed. I have experience in the medical field and am comfortable with giving medication orally and via injection if needed. I am comfortable caring for all ages of pets from puppies and kittens to seniors. Currently the only pet in my home is my senior bearded dragon who has an enclosure with a lid. I recently left my job and am searching for another. In the meantime I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your fur (or reptile) babies! I live on the edge of downtown and walk through Fisher Park at least once daily. I don't have a proper fenced in yard, as it is shared between several houses, but there is space for a potty break.

I also love playtime and make a point to give them undivided attention. I have an unorthodox schedule these days with gig work and private music lessons. So I can be very flexible with your pets schedule. I'm great with over night care as well. I try to keep a regular schedule for consistency with my pets. I also try to be aware of the pet's security and comfortability, which can vary widely. Consistent exercise and playtime with training maintenence (check ins and rewards for good behavior) are a staple in my own home, and i try to bring that practice to any pet sitting gig.
