“Justin did a fantastic job taking care of our kitties Phoenix and Cici while we were away! He was extremely professional, communicative, and very thoughtful. 5 stars all around!”

“Cynthia took such excellent care of my furbaby! I cannot recommend her enough! She took time for a couple of meet and greets before my booking so my dog would get accustomed to her presence. I noticed that my dog was much more relaxed at the second visit, which made me feel at ease knowing Cynthia would be taking such excellent care of her. Truly a stand-out quality caretaker for my furbaby!”

“Candice went above and behind while checking in on my cats. She did a get job keep my girls taken care of. Everyday she sent a good number of pictures to me so that I could see how they were doing. Her report cards were super detailed which I really appreciated. I would recommend her.”
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, I’ve had all kinds of animals. I’ve had rabbits and guinea pigs, and many types of dogs. I am currently in school working on getting my vet tech certification, and I have worked at a pet boarding facility before along with a vet office! I am currently in school virtually and working full time doing detailing, so I have a very flexible schedule. I don’t start my work day until abt 10:30, classes are set at my own pace, and I typically finish my work day around 2:30/3 just depends on how long the detail takes me. So my schedule is very flexible and I have the ability to work around it! I live in a townhome apartment complex with 2 cats and a dog. I allow my pets access to everything in my home, same would go for your pets as well! My cats and dog are friendly, and I always leash my dog when taking him outside to use the bathroom or for walks. All my pets are spayed and neutered, and up to date on all their vaccines and on flea and tick prevention.
“Arden was fantastic! She cared for our two dogs and cat while we were at the beach. She sent multiple pictures and even videos for my son, who was missing the animals. She constantly communicated with us, making our vacation enjoyable, knowing that our fur babies were well cared for. Arden took immediate care of any problems that arised, including having to give one of our dogs a bath. We will definitely be rebooking with Arden during our next vacation!”

“Jessica gave very kind and conscientious care to my senior German shepherd while managing the exuberance of two younger dogs. Everyone was clean and content when I returned home from being gone for 12 hours. We appreciated her help very much”

About: Many family friends have left their dogs in my care, mainly overnight. I’ve gotten very comfortable looking after high energy breeds and being attentive to their needs. I’ve owned a cat myself in the past! My primary job has relatively light and flexible hours. That flexibility allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. Early mornings and late nights will almost always be available for bookings. When I accept a booking, I make sure I can genuinely commit to it so every pet receives consistent attention and companionship throughout my time. I treat both the space and the fur baby with the same respect and responsibility I would expect someone to show mine. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine and personality while also making sure they receive any specific care they’re already used to. I try to leave homes better condition in then I arrived, and I believe reliable communication helps provide peace of mind for any client that so desires. My goal will always be for clients to come home to something relaxing.
“This was my second time having Shelby check in on my kitty and she never fails to do a great job. Always shows up on time, is great at following instructions, and makes my cat very happy. I am so grateful for her help and would recommend her a hundred times over. Thank you Shelby, you’re a lifesaver!!”

I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets and tend to their needs. I would be happy to bring your pet along with me in my day to day. I have an unfenced, private yard and a puppy to keep your pets company. I can crate your dog if needed, and I have ample space to give them whatever space they need to feel comfortable.

About: I’m active , so I actively play with dogs being I have 3 energetic dogs myself , 1 shitzu 1 german shepherd one pit bull mix and a golden retriever We are currently college students with a bunch of free time, looking to find a job we enjoy. While we both have a love of dogs, the opportunity to walk dogs and make it into a job is amazing! We often take our pups for walks around the block, which they love. In our home, we have a fenced in yard with a plethora of toys. While our neighborhood is big, we take our dogs on a walk at least once a day

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and love taking care and have experience with all ages from helping train energetic puppies to helping with senior care for our old pup. Starting when I was 14, neighbors and friends would have me play, take care of, and spend quality time with their pets when they were gone. I also volunteered at the local shelter in high school and would walk and run with dogs on the weekends and during the summer. Today, I still frequently pet sit for friends, or join them for walks with their dogs through the park. I’m currently a grad student at UNCG, and while I work most weekdays, my schedule is pretty flexible! I am free all mornings before 9 and after 4pm, and can drop in for a walk or check in during the day most days, and completely free on weekends! I aim to prioritize the comfort of your pet! My main goal is to maintain a calm environment that emphasizes fun, play, rest, and managing stress when loved ones are away.
“Kaitlyn did a drop in for my babies and was so engaging from the moment she arrived. She greeted my babies with love and all the pets and was very enthusiastic about care taking for our dogs and cats. We’ve ALREADY rebooked her for Thanksgiving week travels and we feel VERY comfortable leaving them behind in Kaitlyn’s capable hands.”

“Laney was the best! She was super nice and loving to my boy. 🥰 She went above and beyond to play with him and keep him company. She’s super professional and very communicative which I appreciated tremendously. Would definitely recommend and book again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
