“Shinobu loves spending his time with Joaquin, Daye, and Esqo! I love getting photos and reports on how Shinobu is doing. Seeing him have fun gives me peace of mind.”

“A great first experience using Rover! Our Finley had the best time, playing and being loved on. What a warm and inviting family, sent lots of pictures and videos. They even gave our pup a bath after they got into some mud. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Thank you!! ❤️”

“I ABSOLUTELY adore Trya! My dog is a handful but Tyra has no problem with that! I get pictures and videos constantly throughout the day, I was hesitant about having someone else watch my dog but I know I made a great choice with Tyra. My fur baby loves going to day care!”

About: I have had dogs since I was a child and decided to pursue a career with them after a career in Law Enforcement. I am a Certified Dog Trainer and own my own Dog business, Got Dogs? LLC. I also volunteer at the animal shelter both spending time with shelter dogs and helping with adoptions. Most of my life revolves around dogs and I like it that way. Please check out my Google profile to see several reviews! I own my own Dog business, and work from home. I spend most of my time with my dogs and enjoying others babies as well I have a fenced in yard and live on a dead end street in a quiet neighborhood. The indoor space is climate controlled and video monitored. The dogs will be crated for rest time and night time.
“I’m new to NC and needed a daycare for Brody to stay while at work during the day. Brody had his first week and came home smiling every day. Anna keeps me updated frequently with pictures and provides amazing care. Her dogs and herself treat Brody like their own.”

“Our pup loved Zydae and her 2 dogs. A very balanced and sweet bunch who took our dog Mars in just like one of their own. He was eager to arrive for day care each day. We appreciated the help and the loving touch.”

“Grace was amazing! Highly recommend, my dog had other dogs to play with he’s a big puppy so he loves dogs. She was communicating perfectly and was ready to go upon drop off and pick up. Looking forward to another day with Grace when back in the area.”

About: Your dogs are family to me! I’ve been caring for pups for 15 years, with a focus on daily walks, trips to the dog park, and gentle baths. I’m experienced in training young pups, as well as providing specialized care for senior dogs. I always follow your instructions closely, and I’m happy to give any medical care your pup needs. Every dog gets the same love and attention I give my own! I'm currently working from home, which gives me plenty of time to provide your fur babies with lots of attention, love, and care throughout the day! My own Yorkie, JoBella, and I enjoy several walks each day, along with plenty of playtime—especially a good game of fetch, which is one of our favorite activities. I'll care for your dog as if they were part of my own family, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. When I'm caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a cozy, safe space. JoBella’s already super welcoming, so they’ll feel at home in no time! I keep a consistent routine with walks, play, meals rest and any special care instructions you have. In either case, I stay in touch with updates and pictures so you always know how your pup is doing!
“Sarah and Josiah always take great care of our pup! He was so happy to hang out with them today and is absolutely exhausted now that he’s home - which means he had way too much fun!”

“Evan and Late have been incredible so far! Loki is always beaming and super happy each day when I pick him up and drop him off. He never wants to leave when I come get him and about drags me inside on drop off. Between their dog, their kids, and the backyard, he’s more than happy everyday! They’ve also been very communicative and flexible/open with my schedule too and I couldn’t appreciate it more.”

About: We were raising dogs before we had children. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, rescue dogs, and Icelandic Sheepdogs. There have been dogs in our home for over 50 years. Our pets are a part of the family and greet us each day with a licky kiss on the chin. Our grandchildren love to play with Spensa when they visit. Pet care is intentional and a part of our daily routine. With the morning coffee comes the morning run around the back yard. With my breakfast is the dogs breakfast. If we go for a walk, so does the dog! We all just do life together as we can! We have a fenced yard allowing plenty of room to run and play. Our dog is very friendly and is very comfortable being around other dogs. She is current on all vacinations. Should you required you dog to be crated for any reason, we would be more than willing to comply to your requests.
About: I have never gone a year of my life without owning at least 2 dogs. I have always trained them well with leash training, potty, and crate training. I now am training a service dog (with the help of some classes) and am learning so much more about a dog’s health, needs, and how to learn from them as much as they learn from us. I know that when I go out of town I want the best care for my dogs and I want to provide a good place for other dogs to stay as well. I am a full time online student at the moment so I am available all day everyday, with the exception of future appointments or meetings that will not take more than a few hours out of a day at a time. I am typically home watching over my own dogs at all hours of the day; I do work part time on the weekends though and am usually gone for 5-8 hours at a time onFridays-Sundays (depending on the week). I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood which provides a standard sized tennis court, which we have basically turned into a play park for dogs! We all have contributed toys to leave at the tennis court and I LOVE brining my dog (and the doggie I am watching over) to the court to run freely for a while and play without worrying about other dogs or being on a leash. Because I have a larger dog (110 lbs; he is a gentle giant), I have a large crate and large bed as well! This will be great for any sized dog whether they are crate-trained or not :)

About: I am an animal lover to the max. I have been a pet sitter for some years now and have enjoyed it all from training young pets to caring for our more senior animals. I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets and tend to their needs. I would be happy to bring your pet along with me in my day to day. I have an unfenced, private yard and a puppy to keep your pets company. I can crate your dog if needed, and I have ample space to give them whatever space they need to feel comfortable.
“This was our first booking with Tara for our senior dog. The initial meet-and-greet session went very well, and Tara's sweet little dogs were friendly with ours. Tara's large, fenced yard was a wonderful oasis. Tara's experience is obvious, and she sent us several text updates with pictures that put our minds at ease while we were traveling.”

About: I began taking care of pets as a child. My brother said if reincarnation is real he wanted to come back as one of my pets! My neighbors think I'm a vet if I had been better in math I would have been. I took advanced science in highschool in preparation but chemistry math stopped me. I have had or helped with over 30 pets including gerbils, guinea pigs, canary, cockatoos, iguanas, baby owl as well as cats and dogs. My 3 dogs all lived past 15 years and my hand me down cat lived past 22 years. I'm now working from home & feel boarding pets would be fun. I currently work from home so I'm rarely out of the home but am able to crate my dogs or yours to ensure safety if I do go outside the home. We have a fenced in back yard and a doggie door to provide exercise and fun. My dogs do well with other dogs & my cat loves my dogs. If necessary I can separate my dogs from the boarders with dog gates. My parents designed the house for parties but it works to separate the front from the back if necessary for safety or medical reasons.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience with high-energy and working breeds. I’m confident with all personalities, from playful and energetic to calm and cuddly. I focus on providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I keep a flexible schedule and make plenty of time each day for walks, play, and companionship. I’m available for daytime care, evening visits, and weekends, and I always make sure each dog gets the attention and consistency they need. If you have a specific routine, I’m happy to follow it closely. Your dog will be cared for in a safe, calm environment with a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time. I always supervise dogs, prioritize safety, and make sure every pup feels comfortable, understood, and at home.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
