About: Hi, I’m a part-time pet sitter with nearly a decade of experience caring for animals! It all started with my aunt and uncle, whose pets I’ve looked after for almost ten years. Over the years, they’ve had three wonderful dogs and a few guinea pigs, and I’ve loved every moment of caring for them. I also spent large parts of many summers dog sitting for my other aunt and uncle, who had three adorable Maltese pups—I was their go-to pet person whenever they traveled, and I cherished every minute with those sweet little fluffballs. Since then, I’ve become the go-to sitter for trusted friends and family. I regularly dog sit for a friend with two large dogs—I've cared for them three times now—and I’ve also helped her by letting the dogs out and feeding her cats when she’s away. I’ve also looked after my cousin’s two dogs on three separate occasions. As a teacher, I understand the importance of being dependable, attentive, and nurturing. I bring that same level of care and responsibility to every pet I look after. Whether it’s a quick check-in or an extended stay, I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. In the past, I have pet sat in the summer but I am currently trying to make this a full time gig! I can stay at your home to make those morning and evening potty breaks a breeze, and during the day, I’ll never be gone for more than 6 hours—because your pet’s comfort is my top priority (and let’s be honest, I miss them too much to stay away any longer!). Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. When I’m in a client’s home, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I prefer working with homes that have a fenced yard to ensure dogs can enjoy outdoor time without the risk of getting loose. I'm comfortable feeding pets, administering medication if needed, and of course—providing plenty of cuddles, playtime, and attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to keep their routine as consistent and comforting as possible.

About: I've owned dogs and taken care of pets for neighbors, friends, and family members since I was 6. I have experience training puppies and am prepared to provide enrichment for high energy, low energy, young, and old pets alike. I love them all. I am currently a masters student at UNCG. I have classes on Monday and Wednesday and work with various performance groups throughout the week. My schedule is variable, so even though I am busy there are a lot of moments in between my daily tasks that allow for attention to be extended to a pet. In client's homes, I am respectful of any rules and protocol you'd like me to follow. I will stay in designated areas and follow any instructions you leave for me. If your pet is visiting me I don't have a yard, but I live in a quiet and very walkable neighborhood. I am on the ground floor of a house, so there are no risks associated with a deck or being multiple floors up in a building. Pets are welcome in all areas of my space, including on the furniture, unless you have a rule at home you would like me to reinforce as well. In my own home, pets are an extension of the family and are treated as such. I am an active person and would love to provide long walks, hiking, lake visits, and more with the permission of pet parents.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, young and old, since 2019. I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s parented guinea pigs and parakeets as well. I pride myself on creating enriching experiences for the animals I sit through play and exercise. I’m a freelancer by trade and work for myself so I have open availability during both weekdays and weekends with limited notice needed to make myself available. I ask that pet owners provide any necessary supplies as I do not have them at home. I do live in a newer apartment complex with a fenced in playground for dogs to run around and lots of sidewalk space for walks.

I’ve raised and trained dogs since I was young and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and more relaxed companions. I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and can administer oral medications, topical medications, injections, and provide care for dogs wearing cones or diapers. I work from home, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone for more than 2–4 hours, receive regular potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I always strive to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and lots of affection. All outdoor time is supervised, and I provide a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment. There are no other animals in the house. About: I have four dogs myself and I’ve worked at the Dogs Downtown Boarding/Training facility for 2 years now. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, of all personalities, puppy house/crate training, and dogs with special needs (including allergies). I know how to administer medication and emergency care, upkeep with training, and of course, giving them all the loving and play while you’re away as if they were my own. When I’m not working at the kennel your pups will have me all to themselves. I can even check on them before/after my shifts and on my 1 hour break if you’d like. I have experience with dogs of kinds of medical conditions, I’m trained in emergency protocols and I have experience administering medication. Of course, when I’m in your home my first priority will be their safety and comfort. That means making sure they’re getting all the loving and play and attention they’re craving while you’re away. About: I've been taking care of animals since I was a teen, my family and friends have relied on me to care for their pets, walking, feeding, playing with them. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering "unadoptable" dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then I followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, stopping jumping on people, food possessiveness, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs after she gets to know them, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs might initially bark at other dogs, but they don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: *** Going forward, we will only board *female* dogs & they must be spayed. We stopped accepting male dogs in our home because the hiking of legs is problematic. *** If they are not spayed, I will be happy to do drop in care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. --- I require a meetup with dogs & their owners before actually accepting a booking. If you are unable to do this, I'm unable to take care of your fur babies. --- I work from home, so my availability is fairly open unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. _____________________________________________________________________________ *** Important Note*** Doggie Day Care is for "up to 9 hours" each stay. If you need care for more than 9 hours, please schedule it as a boarding. Just let me know it's for an extended hours stay in a message. Otherwise, for requested stays exceeding 9 hours, I will send you a modification request changing it from 'day care' to the status of 'boarding' which costs more. If I have to send you a modification request & you don't want to pay a boarding fee for time exceeding 9 hours, you may choose to decline the change & it will never actually be booked with me. However, in this instance, you will need to find another sitter. Thank you for understanding... We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

Sweetie needed encouragement to eat so I looked to Rover.com to find someone who could come in at noon to freshen up Sweetie’s food.
