About: I was raised on a farm with cats and dogs. I have a plott hound mix, a pit bull, a lab, and a sassy calico cat, all rescues, of my own. I have a lot of compassion for animals and treat them like members of the family, albeit spoiled ones. My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while their human(s) are gone. I am comfortable with cats and small to large dogs at any energy level. My neighbors, vet, and friends can provide references, if needed. I work in education, so my summer schedule is wide open. Nights, weekends, and some holidays are possible during the school year. I am able to check in, walk, stay overnight, etc. In your home, I will follow the instructions given and take pictures to let you know your pets are well taken care of. I’ve dogsat for my sisters dogs for years now and my wife and I have our own dogs (a 5 year old Golden Retriever and a 7 year old Goldendoodle). About: I have been taking care of family members' dogs regularly for years, including senior dogs with special needs and puppies with no training. Over the years I have gained a working knowledge of caring for dogs with dietary restrictions and mobility issues. I have also had experience teaching two puppies potty training and leash training. Any size dog is welcome, for I have taken care of dogs ranging from six to ninety pounds. I can work around the pet's needs if given a few days to iron out personal schedules. I am in college, so if I spend the night pet sitting, I will have to allocate a certain amount of time for my classes. When in a client's home I like to have a detailed list of instructions regarding the locations of a pet's food, toys, and personal belongings. I will always strive to keep a pet's usual schedule when inside their home and leave time for them to become comfortable with me. I am not afraid of reactive dogs, I can handle ones that bark and bite easily. As the night progresses I will make sure that the home is secure, clean, and happy for the dog I am watching. I am perfectly happy to sleep with the dog on a couch or on the floor if the need arises. Special dietary needs are always important to me, so medications and food will be given correctly at the allocated times.

About: I have four dogs myself and I’ve worked at the Dogs Downtown Boarding/Training facility for 2 years now. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, of all personalities, puppy house/crate training, and dogs with special needs (including allergies). I know how to administer medication and emergency care, upkeep with training, and of course, giving them all the loving and play while you’re away as if they were my own. When I’m not working at the kennel your pups will have me all to themselves. I can even check on them before/after my shifts and on my 1 hour break if you’d like. I have experience with dogs of kinds of medical conditions, I’m trained in emergency protocols and I have experience administering medication. Of course, when I’m in your home my first priority will be their safety and comfort. That means making sure they’re getting all the loving and play and attention they’re craving while you’re away. When I’m in your home I won’t be staring at my phone or preoccupied with other things, I want to give my 100% to your pet because they deserve to feel like the priority, especially when they’re missing their family.

About: As it usually goes, growing up my family always owned dogs, from German Shepherds to Chihuahua mixes. I follow up my personal experience with 6 years of professional experience working at various dog boarding/daycare facilities and veterinary hospitals. Before moving to North Carolina, I lived in Iowa where 3 years ago I was given the opportunity to a apprenticeship at Fowl Water Outdoors, afterwards I was then given the opportunity to a job training at Lakota Creek Kennels. Since moving to NC I had been able to fill the role of assistant trainer at Spence Canine Academy in Oak Ridge, NC. Along with my background, I am pet CPR/first aid certified and able to provide a background check along with several references. I have four of my own pets. Zeus, a 6 year old German Shepherd who I have dabbled in fast CAT and AKC scent work with. Zeppy, a 1 year old Belgian Malinois I am training in the bite sport of PSA with. LaRue, a 6 month old Standard Poodle who has big shoes to fill as a hunting companion. And Maly, my 1 year old Siamese cat. Previously I owned a Dutch Shepherd who I trained in the bite sport of PSA with as well, I am certainly partial to the Shepherds. In my teen years I owned a few rabbits, a couple Mini Lops, an English Angora, and would love the opportunity to care for rabbits again! Big or small, dogs to bunnies, they are loved all the same and I look forward to taking care of your beloved pets! Currently my schedule is wide open for dog walking, adventure walks, and drop-in visits from 7am-9pm Monday through Friday, as well as boarding! I have a 2 bedroom townhome without a fenced yard so dogs are required to be leashed. However we will still get plenty of exercise in through play, walks, and on leash hikes! Having a spare bedroom allows me to easily accommodate pets who may not get along with others, or simply enjoy having their own private, calm, and quiet space.
