About: I grew up with cats and now as an adult have owned dogs for 20 years. I also foster dogs for Red Dog Farm. I’ve taken care of everything from potty trainings puppies to senior dogs that need daily medication. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m generally available a few hours each weekday and most of the day on Wednesdays and Fridays. I can help on some weekends as needed. I have a large fenced in yard and great walking trails near my house if your dog is boarding with me. We don’t have pets of our own right now so your pup would receive my full attention. I love to send clients pics and videos so you know your pet is well taken care of.
“Candice did a great job taking care of my cat Pippin while I was out of town for a week and a half. She gave great updates on how he was doing and I received lots of pictures. It was a pleasure!!”

About: I have been petsitting and dog walking my neighborhood pets for several years and had the privilege to work as a research technician who helped in husbandry at UNC Chapel Hills Division of Comparative Medicine canine unit. I love making new furry friends and gaining experience to help my pre-veterinary journey as a college student! I am a college student who has classes int the morning and afternoon and ask for your patience to fit the service around my class schedule! I am a flexible person none the less:) I have a fenced yard for my dog to keep them from getting out and my cat is an inside cat who stay in the upstairs bedrooms
“Karen was so responsive and did a great job taking care of Marlow. We felt like it was someone that we've known forever who was watching her. We would book again in a heartbeat. :-)”

“We love booking Flora to pet sit for our cat. She is so patient and caring with our shy kitty! She provided us with great updates and we know our cat is well cared for when we are away.”

About: I've grown up around dogs and taken care of animals my whole life! When I was 11, I started my own dog-walking business around the neighborhood. My friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their pets! I am a very active person and I love to be out on walks daily. I have a flexible work schedule and can be available for shorter day-time walks, mid-day pet care, and longer morning walks. My flexible schedule means I can work from home for a few days during pet-sitting if needed. When I am pet sitting, I love to provide a stable routine that is as close to normal for your pet as possible. My flexible work schedule makes it possible for me to work from home some days, and pop back in during lunches to give your pet a potty break, a little stretch of the legs, or some reassuring attention. As a pet owner, I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets at home while your away, and I always want to minimize the stress for both you and your pet.
“Julie and Jay were amazing. They took such great care of my cat and my house. I cannot thank them enough and I will make sure to book them again the next time I leave town.”

“Cheyanne was amazing. Her incredible communication, tons of pictures, and detailed updates on how Chewy was each day made our vacation stress free and so enjoyable. We will definitely be rebooking with Cheyanne anytime we need a sitter.”

About: I've owned dogs and taken care of pets for neighbors, friends, and family members since I was 6. I have experience training puppies and am prepared to provide enrichment for high energy, low energy, young, and old pets alike. I love them all. I am currently a masters student at UNCG. I have classes on Monday and Wednesday and work with various performance groups throughout the week. My schedule is variable, so even though I am busy there are a lot of moments in between my daily tasks that allow for attention to be extended to a pet. In client's homes, I am respectful of any rules and protocol you'd like me to follow. I will stay in designated areas and follow any instructions you leave for me. If your pet is visiting me I don't have a yard, but I live in a quiet and very walkable neighborhood. I am on the ground floor of a house, so there are no risks associated with a deck or being multiple floors up in a building. Pets are welcome in all areas of my space, including on the furniture, unless you have a rule at home you would like me to reinforce as well. In my own home, pets are an extension of the family and are treated as such. I am an active person and would love to provide long walks, hiking, lake visits, and more with the permission of pet parents.
About: I have 12 years of experience taking care of both cats and dogs of all sizes and multiple breeds. I have previous experience fostering cats, dogs, small pets, and exotics. I am open to working with all breeds of dogs, including and particularly squishy bully breeds. I am comfortable with both standard dog or cat care as well as additional care for pets with special needs, such as giving medication. I’ve worked with multiple pet personality types, such as timid or nervous pets. I have flexible availability and I am available for house-sitting in the form of multiple visits over the course of your time away, but I am not available to stay overnight. I'm able to give plenty of time to go at the pet's pace, administer most medications, and tailor care to suite different personalities and needs.
About: I had my first puppy when I was 12, and I treated him like a best friend. I was so keen on taking care of him I wouldn’t let anyone else do it! I’m working part time, so I’m 100 percent flexible. I’m pretty much free the whole day. I also wake up really early so I can work around that aswell. I’m very overprotective and will most definitely not let a pet out of my sight. I will most definitely treat your pet like they’re my own child. I don’t hesitate to feed when time comes and I make sure to engage in activities to keep the pet stimulated
“America took great care of my cat, Luna! Played with her, gave fresh water, and cleaned litter box daily. She called me prior to her visits beginning just to make sure all needs would be accounted for. I highly recommend her :)”

About: I've been around pets my whole life, grew up in a household with one or two dogs at a time, and worked in a vet hospital's boarding area during high school. I've seen it all and worked with them all! For now I just have a cat but looking forward to having a dog in my home at some point. While my schedule can be a little hectic around the holidays, it's very consistent during the summer. I also almost always have Sundays and Mondays available too me and most weeknights. Just ask and I'm happy to work you for your needs! I have a fenced in backyard, and I'm a pretty big guy myself so I can handle all pet sizes and energy levels! I have plenty of experience administering most medications, of all kinds and manners.

Erika filled in last minute after another sitter cancelled the day before our trip. She took care of Lucky and checked in on our cats and fed our saltwater fish. The cats are skiddish and are rarely seen but they ended coming out for Erika. We highly recommend her for anyone needing a pet sitter.

Justin has been very attentive, informative, and helpful. My puppy can be a bit of handful but Justin watched him and sent me some of the things I should keep kn mind for the vet. He also kept me updated on Crash and his mood. Be bad separation anxiety very badly I have been learning the more I go out of town sometimes. I can’t wait to book with Justin again
Arden has been so great with our puppy. We are still working on potty training and he’s very young so accidents still happen. Arden has cleaned up any potty accidents and works on emphasizing good potty habits when she is with our puppy. She also always takes him out to play to help get some energy out. We are so grateful we found her!

Madison has been an exceptional caretaker for my two Siberian huskies. From the moment she began working with them, her warmth, kindness, and natural connection with animals were immediately evident. She is incredibly dependable and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my dogs are not only well cared for but genuinely happy. Her gentle demeanor and intuitive understanding of animal behavior have made a noticeable difference in my dogs’ mood and energy. They truly enjoy being around her, and it’s clear that she brings out the best in them. Madison has a special way with animals—one that fosters trust, comfort, and joy. I’m very pleased with the care she’s provided so far and feel confident knowing my dogs are in such capable and compassionate hands. I highly recommend Madison to anyone seeking a reliable and loving pet caretaker.

Alex dropped in to feed Big B and let him outside afterwards. He was great with B.J. and wasn’t intimidated by his size, excitement AND hair at all. He gave him lots of attention which B.J. absolutely loves. I have a Rat Terrier Chihuahua mix who was wary of him at first, but he informed me that he eventually warmed up to him. I will certainly request his services whenever I need a good dog sitter.

Georgia was a natural with Molly! Molly came right up to her in her first meeting and fell in love immediately. Georgia was very thorough and consistent with timing, updates and pictures! I can tell that Molly already misses her and we will definitely have Georgia back in the future!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
