We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: I began my journey learning about responsible pet care and dog training when I was ten years old and enrolled in 4H with my puppy. Since that early age I have gained professional experience in vet clinics, pet stores, and as a professional dog jogger. I did extensive research on positive reinforcement training when I adopted my shy, border collie mix puppy in 2020 and am a strong believer in its ability to form strong bonds and trust with any pet. I currently have a remote job that gives me open flexibility. I can also make evening visits and overnights stays throughout the week. I can work from your home on my laptop when I am pet/house sitting, providing a lot of companionship for your best friend! I will care for the pets in your home, where they feel most comfortable. I am open to developing pet care in my home for doggy daycare. I have a large fenced yard and am located right next to Cedarock Rock. I walk our dogs there almost daily. Our young dog Hugo would love a dog to play with!

About: I have always had a major love for animals! I currently own 1 cat and 1 dog. I have owned dogs, hamsters, turtles, geckos, and a rabbit. I have experience in raising newborns, puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs. I have also cared for other types of animals including cats, hamsters, rabbits, turtles, fish, and reptiles. I always make time to play and cuddle with any type of fur baby to make them feel comfortable with me and happy! I can provide just about any service needed: from feeding to potty breaks, walks, grooming, nail trimming, cleaning ears, cleaning up messes, or administering medication. I currently work in an animal hospital, so I am very familiar and comfortable providing any type of pet care! If possible, please request a booking a week from the dates required so I can work that around my job. I am mainly available on the weekends. Will update availability for the weekdays soon. I make sure all choking hazards, loose cords, or anything dangerous are out of reach. I put away all food and meds that aren't necessary at the current time. If a crate is required for a dog or cat when leaving the home, I make it very comfy and supply toys for comfort!

About: I’m a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and believes they deserve the same patience, care, and affection they receive from their own family. I was raised around dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Being around dogs from a young age has taught me how to be patient with different personalities, recognize when a pet may be uncomfortable or need extra attention, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. About: I am a veterinary assistant (coming from a emergency and specialty hospital setting) with a background of animal boarding/daycare experience which includes basic grooming (nail trimming, anal gland expression, bathing...), training, and play. I'm comfortable and experienced with all types of animal behavior and am more than happy to accommodate special needs! I am skilled in dog and cat medication administration: intranasally, subcutaneously, orally, and intramuscularly. I am also RECOVER certified in dog/cat CPR BLS/ALS and well versed in handling animal emergencies and events. I am also comfortable with chicken (just chickens at this point in my career), rabbit, and guinea pig care including SQ, IM, and oral medication administration. I love animals and i'm elated to have the opportunity to take care of your babies! I'm currently a part-time worker at a general family vet practice and pick up shifts occasionally at an emergency veterinary hospital. My schedule is a little flexible due to this fact and my availability will reflect this! I do own two (2) cats of my own and will ask if your pet is comfortable with being left for maximum 2 hours at a time, no more than once a day so I can check up on them. This is for house sitting only. When visiting your home I'll be conscious of how your pet receives me. For bright, young puppies and kittens, I'll keep them entertained and stimulated for the length of my visit, making sure there is no signs of trouble or illness. I'll be sure to clean and sanitize myself before and after each visit with these puppies/kittens to ensure their safety and health. The same applies with young and old adult dogs and cats, taking into consideration the special needs that come with age.
