Debra is awesome! It has been raining off/on all day and many times heavy. She adjusted her schedule to walk Charlie when there was a break in the rain but it started pouring while they were out. She was drenched but still smiling. Charlie loved it because he could jump through the puddles.

Jennifer was a great last minute dog walker! My parents’ dog was in town so we had 3 dogs that needed walking and she handled all of them. She made sure to send pics and updates on the walk, too.

Hailey & Destini, treat our dog Jethro very well! After they walk him he is always happy. We have had Hailey and Destini walking him for a few months now, and Jethro recognizes Destini’s name. When we tell him Destini’s coming today he gets excited. Best walker we’ve ever had!

About: I've grown up with dogs in my house for my whole life and helped neighbors out when needed. I've had dogs of all ages, ranging from puppies to seniors. In addition, I've helped out friends who have cats and often volunteer and local animal shelters with cats and dogs. At the moment, I have an extremely flexible schedule! I am available most days of the week, and I can shift around the majority of my plans if needed. Because I've grown up around dogs, I'm very experienced with dog care necessities including walking, feeding, crating, etc. Although I have never had a cat because my dad is allergic, I love cats and have helped friends take care of their fuzzy furballs more times than I can count. I love playing with animals, and I'm exciting to meet yours!

About: I’ve cared for dogs & cats since I was kid and will care for your fur baby like they are my own! I’m an avid walker/runner and happy to help you and your pup in whatever way you need—drop in visits or walks. I have cared for senior pups before and am happy to care for your’s if that’s what you need! I’m a full time PhD student doing research from home with a flexible schedule. I’m hoping to help someone walk their dog or stop in to play with their cat from time to time or on a regular basis if we’re a good fit! Mornings & evenings are generally easiest for me to come by and go on walks, but I can be flexible midday depending on my schedule. I’m currently a Cat Mom who loves to have play & cuddle time when I’m not working (or even sometimes when I am). I don’t have a dog but would take them out regularly on my daily walks! I’m also happy to drop in and visit your pup—for playtime, snuggles, or just some companion time!

About: It’s your new “Step Dog Mom” I believe every pet deserves Dog-Mom level care—the kind where they’re treated like family, not just a client. With years of experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities, I pride myself on creating a calm, loving, and safe environment where your dog can truly relax. I’m extremely patient and gentle, whether I’m bonding with an anxious rescue, entertaining an energetic puppy, or tending to the needs of a sweet senior. I pay close attention to every detail, from their feeding schedule to their favorite belly rub spot, and I’m skilled at reading body language to ensure your pet feels comfortable and secure. You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home. I provide regular updates, cute photos, and even fun paw report cards so you always know how your fur-baby is doing. Life can be unpredictable, and I do my best to be flexible and understanding when schedules shift. Most of all, I love building connections with each pet I care for—because to me, they’re not “just pets,” they’re family. 🐾 Im available Thursday to Sunday. On Thursday and Friday only I’m available after 5:30pm (due to me having a full time job from home). Saturday and Sunday I’m available all day 🙂 For any Drop-In visits or Walks I do require a complementary meet and greet before booking to ensure your pet is comfortable with me and their “home space” ❤️ Your pet’s comfort and safety always come first in your home. I take time to learn your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs before each visit. I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions exactly as given, and always make sure your pet has fresh water and a clean, calm environment. I respect your space—leaving your home just as I found it—and keep doors locked, alarms set, and your pet safely indoors or secured outside as requested. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive to body language, especially with shy or anxious pets. You’ll receive regular updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve raised and trained dogs since I was young and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and more relaxed companions. I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and can administer oral medications, topical medications, injections, and provide care for dogs wearing cones or diapers. I work from home, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone for more than 2–4 hours, receive regular potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I always strive to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and lots of affection. All outdoor time is supervised, and I provide a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment. There are no other animals in the house. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout their stay or visit. I have access to a large backyard and a ton of greenery right across the street.

About: As a dog mom myself, I understand the desire for your pet to feel loved and well-cared for. I've had my sweet Australian Shepherd, Bailey, for 7 years now. Although she is quirky and weird, she is the most precious thing to me and my family. It is SO important to be able to learn the unique personalities of each animal you encounter. It is my promise to you that I will work with your pet in a way that suits their needs while giving them quality attention--the same way that I would want someone to treat mine. I've been around dogs my entire life and am comfortable with all shapes and sizes, from tiny pups to gentle giants. I also fostered a dog while I was in college, which really taught me how to handle different temperaments and help a nervous dog feel safe and comfortable in a new routine. Whether your pup needs a high-energy game of fetch or a structured walk, I will keep them safe, entertained, and most importantly healthy! I'm currently working part-time as a medical assistant, so weekends are great for me. I can also do more weekdays as my schedule is made and will post my availability as soon as possible on a recurring basis. I live in a pet-friendly apartment, but have great access to safe walking areas in my neighborhood. My apartment is big enough to accomodate dogs of all sizes, and is animal-proofed!

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have been actively involved in caring for them from a young age. Through owning dogs and helping with their daily care, I've gained experience with feeding, walking, exercise, playtime, and providing lots of attention and affection. I've also pet sat for friends and family, including caring for up to five dogs at once over a weekend. This experience has allowed me to work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I strive to provide a safe, loving, and reliable environment so both pets and their owners feel comfortable and confident in my care. I have open availability Monday - Friday and can provide care throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and overnight stays if needed. Im flexible and happy to work with pet owners to meet their pets' schedules and routines. About: Customers will love that I love animals and they will be able to feel it! I have had many animals for long periods of my life. My Cagney ( a min pin) passed when she was 16. My Boo ( a black cat) passed also when she was 16. They were the best! My babies are always interesting - all their personalities make them all so different just like people, except that they love you unconditionally. They are always there no matter what! One of my all time favorites was a bulldog I used to pet sit. He was a funny slobbery clumsy little man. Sliming corners of my jeans and my shoes and running as hard as he could to me when I came thru the door and always ready to hang out and cuddle. Fun stuff!!!!! One customer had two cats that required lots of love visits! They loved to play and run all over when u visited. Mommy Suzanne loved pics so my son and I would get them playing and start taking pics. Sweet personalities. My weakness used to be taking in animals when I couldn't afford any more. I try not to do that now - instead I try to place strays that others bring me into other good homes. My brother took in one such cat that I took in as a rescue. Jazz brought him and my brothers wife a lot of happiness over the years! I am glad I took him in and that my brother added him to his household as a forever family!! The pics in my profile are: Thor the bulldog! Thor Thor bully Thor! Rocky the red min pin- big bark ! Little man!(he's older and whiter in this pic) Boomer is a good ole boy that my younger brother adopted. Just a super calm dog that you can only love. Mae Mae the cat - very RARE close encounter with her on my knee!!! #mustescapefromhumans The last one is good mix dog sitting in his front yard after I have taken him for a walk. His name is so different I can't remember how to say or spell it. Protective dog that I kept for my friend Val. Loves his regular walks. I currently work full time but work from home but and can work from your home if house sitting and/or visit when needed thruout the day(s). I follow your lead. Whatever you allow them to do i will allow and will restrict as you see fit. I go by your rules.

About: With over 15 years of hands-on pet care experience, I’ve worked with a wide range of animals—from loyal German Shepherds and playful pit bulls to energetic labs, cuddly chihuahuas, and high-energy doodles. My experience also extends to caring for cats, ducks, and even fish, making me a versatile and trustworthy companion for your pets. Whether it’s a daily walk, overnight care, or just some extra love and attention, I treat every animal like they’re part of the family. I am a teacher during most of the year, but I love working with animals. I am trying to build my summer with pet sitting, dog walking, etc to keep myself active and busy. I do not offer pet sitting in my own home. However, in your home I will keep the schedule/routines you use and ensure your pet gets plenty of cuddles and care.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10, as the neighborhood dog sitter! I worked as an animal specialist at PetSmart throughout college and have a great love for all animals. As a dog mom of 3 rescues I totally understand in importance in showing everyone love, especially those who struggle with separation anxiety. I am extremely patient and love giving amazing belly rubs and really long walks! I am currently a stay at home dog mom so picking up mid day check ins is fairly easy for me! I have three rescue dogs of my own and truly understand the importance of a mid day potty/play break! I will take care of your pet like they are my own! If that means your dog has to sleep under the blanket they are more the welcome to keep my feet warm!

I needed someone last minute to walk my German Shepard and Lindsay was the first to respond. She sent me pics of the walk and also let me know what business he did so I was prepared when I got home from work. I've had other instances where I've had to book last minute, but Lindsay is my girl for pur household whenever we need services, hands down! Thanks, Lindsay, for all that you did for our baby! ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
