“I had to board my Zita very last second (not even minute) for a full day sitting (9.00-19.00) and Agus was extremely nice and flexible to accommodate my needs. He took really good care of Zita and she loved playing with Harry Potter (he is such a sweet boy!). I would definitely recommend him and board Zita again!”
“Jenna and Shane are exceptional. Top Tier pet sitters. I have booked with 3 times. The last booking my dog ran up to Shane remembered his scent, her tail started wagging like crazy and she left me in the dust. She ran inside the gate like she was “home”. That warmed my heart so much. 10000/10! I highly recommend. They are terrific.”

“Evie and Fritz are truly the best dog sitters I have ever used! Our dog Harper is usually very uncomfortable around new people and does not tend to do well when we go on trips. I could tell very early on that she looked happy and relaxed with them after being there for only about a day. They made a clear effort to get to know Harper and make her as comfortable as possible and sent me so many photos and video to keep me updated on how she was doing. Highly highly highly recommend Evie and Fritz, we will definitely be a repeat customer!!!”

“Kaitlyn was an absolutely amazing dog sitter for my pup, Ava! She sent me daily photo updates—including some that looked professionally shot—which truly put my mind at ease while I was away. I especially appreciated how she kept me informed about Ava’s activity levels and moods throughout the stay. It’s clear that Kaitlyn really took the time to get to know Ava and make her feel comfortable and loved. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Kaitlyn to anyone looking for loving care for their furry family member! 🐾💛”

“Melany was great! She sent lots of pictures of Forrest everyday, and she even kept him for an extra night when our plans didn't go as expected for pickup. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up. Thanks Melany!”

“This was my dog’s first time staying over with someone he didn’t really know, but Sharon really helped ME feel comfortable about the environment where I would be leaving him. It’s obvious this is a house that loves dogs and prioritizes their well being. He enjoyed his time at her house and I felt good about leaving him there.”
“Kristal is great. She loves dogs as does her family. She took great care of my puppy. Sends updates every few hours. Has a fenced yard so the dogs can play. My dog left tired which was the goal. Her location is central so its not far. Very sweet person and responsible. My puppy had a great time”
“Christopher was incredible. I had a very last minute need to board for two days over a weekend and he was able to be extremely flexible for us. Had to drop her off late and then picked her up early due to my crazy work schedule and he was more than willing to accommodate. Will be brining my girl Zoey back to him again for sure.”

Ross and Sarah have now watched my sweet boy three times, and they never disappoint. He comes home and sleeps for two days from having so much fun. They give him treats cuddles and I get all the pictures all day long with the peace of mind, knowing he’s being taken care of. These guys are literally the best people to watch your fur baby’s

Lexi did an amazing job watching Patch while I was out of state. Patch can be nervous with new people and has a fairly specific care routine, but Lexi was patient, attentive, and made her feel comfortable. She sent regular updates, photos, and a video, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She took Patch on walks, to the park, and even out for a pup cup. She also went above and beyond by buying toys and treats for Patch to enjoy during her stay. It was clear that Patch was well cared for and had a great time. Lexi was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and I would absolutely trust her to watch Patch again!

Debbie did an amazing job with our Shih Tzu, Major!! She sent us several pictures and videos of Major and kept us updated on how he was doing throughout his stay with her. He is very kind and caring with her furry clients.🐶 We highly recommend her and are already planning to to book her again soon.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
