Lexi did an amazing job watching Patch while I was out of state. Patch can be nervous with new people and has a fairly specific care routine, but Lexi was patient, attentive, and made her feel comfortable. She sent regular updates, photos, and a video, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She took Patch on walks, to the park, and even out for a pup cup. She also went above and beyond by buying toys and treats for Patch to enjoy during her stay. It was clear that Patch was well cared for and had a great time. Lexi was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and I would absolutely trust her to watch Patch again!

My dog Dakota loved staying with Tami! I was in town for the weekend for a family visit and I couldn’t keep Dakota with me during the time, but I still wanted her close to me. Tami texted me with updates and pictures every day and I could tell my dog was safe and comfortable with her. She did a really good job working with my dog and did everything to make Dakota feel at home. Will definitely use her in the future if I bring Dakota back and would highly recommend!

The best! Isabel and her family are so great with dogs! My pup gets happy when she realizes where she is and can't wait to hop out and play. Isabel is so nice and easygoing, my pup feels at home. Isabel has been very understanding of my adjusting to the Rover platform too since is devised not to install the app. I feel confident it's a great place and her photos are frameable! .💚💚💚

He had a great time playing with another 4-legged guest and going for walks on their beautiful farm. We greatly appreciated the updates, pictures, and videos that we received during Hanks stay. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I am a lifelong pet owner who truly understands that pets are family. I have owned both dogs and cats for most of my life and currently have two Basset Hounds, Cooper (10) and Charlie (5), giving me firsthand experience caring for dogs at different life stages. Because Cooper is a senior dog, I understand the extra patience, attention, and routine that older pets often need. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, monitoring for changes in behavior, and ensuring pets receive the individualized care they deserve. I also have experience caring for pets for friends and family, so I understand the importance of communication and providing regular updates to give owners peace of mind while they're away. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and patient. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My goal is to care for your pet the same way I care for my own, with kindness, care, and lots of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work full-time from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but I have a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM that allows me to check on pets, provide potty breaks, walks, feedings, or companionship during the day. After work, I am available in the evenings to provide additional care, walks, playtime, feeding, and attention. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life. I currently care for my two Basset Hounds, Cooper and Charlie, and understand the importance of maintaining a consistent routine. I am committed to making sure pets receive the care, exercise, affection, and attention they need while their owners are away. In my home, my two Basset Hounds, Cooper and Charlie, have access to our fenced backyard through a doggy door, allowing them to go outside as needed throughout the day. They have a consistent routine that includes feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection and attention. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding according to their schedule, providing fresh water, taking them for walks or potty breaks, cleaning up after them, administering basic care as instructed, and spending quality time with them. I understand that pets are most comfortable when their routine remains consistent, and I will treat your pets and home with the same care and respect that I give my own.

About: We were raising dogs before we had children. Siberian Huskies, Akitas, rescue dogs, and Icelandic Sheepdogs. There have been dogs in our home for over 50 years. Our pets are a part of the family and greet us each day with a licky kiss on the chin. Our grandchildren love to play with Spensa when they visit. Pet care is intentional and a part of our daily routine. With the morning coffee comes the morning run around the back yard. With my breakfast is the dogs breakfast. If we go for a walk, so does the dog! We all just do life together as we can! We have a fenced yard allowing plenty of room to run and play. Our dog is very friendly and is very comfortable being around other dogs. She is current on all vacinations. Should you required you dog to be crated for any reason, we would be more than willing to comply to your requests.

About: Your dogs are family to me! I’ve been caring for pups for 15 years, with a focus on daily walks, trips to the dog park, and gentle baths. I’m experienced in training young pups, as well as providing specialized care for senior dogs. I always follow your instructions closely, and I’m happy to give any medical care your pup needs. Every dog gets the same love and attention I give my own! I'm currently working from home, which gives me plenty of time to provide your fur babies with lots of attention, love, and care throughout the day! My own Yorkie, JoBella, and I enjoy several walks each day, along with plenty of playtime—especially a good game of fetch, which is one of our favorite activities. I'll care for your dog as if they were part of my own family, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. When I'm caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a cozy, safe space. JoBella’s already super welcoming, so they’ll feel at home in no time! I keep a consistent routine with walks, play, meals rest and any special care instructions you have. In either case, I stay in touch with updates and pictures so you always know how your pup is doing!

David was amazing! Lucky enough, we were traveling and we put in the request for a sitter pretty late, David was so understanding and took the time to build rapport and sent photos of our fur baby while we were away for the day and kept us up to date by telling us even small details of how our dog was settling in. I could tell my dog fit right in with David and had no issues at all. Would absolutely recommend and book David again!

There are 668 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Elon. About 93% of Elon sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
