Information Scott M. would like to know about your pet

We have four kids seven and under at home, so we are a great fit for family dogs. Our kids are taught diligently how to behave with dogs, but our home is perhaps not a great fit for very nervous dogs, dogs that jump at people when excited, or dog that are entirely unaccustomed to little kids.

A typical day

We can offer whatever kind of play your dog enjoys, be it walking or running, fetch, tug-of-war, chase, cuddles, scratches behind the ears, trick practice, and so on.

Mack Family Doggy Vacation

Pet care experience

My wife, Ellen, and I enjoyed years of watching after Rover dogs before we had kids. We went on pause for about seven years as we went through several moves, but we have settled in Burlington now and are ready to look after dogs that are accustomed to being around little kids. If your dog thrives with the energy level, attention, play, and physical touch that come with dog-living kids and toddlers, this is the vacation spot for them! Dogs without kid experience would likely be happier with a different sitter. We look forward to loving your dog or other pet as if it were our very own! *We ask to have a meet-n-greet with you and your pup before stays in our house.* Background: We have big hearts for animals and care deeply about their well-being. Ellen grew up breeding and caring for English Springer Spaniels as well as her trusty horse. I grew up caring for my family's dog, Jack Mack, a Shorthair Pointer/Black Lab mix. I have also spent time on a number of farms looking after chickens, pigs, oxen calves, and the ever-mischievous nigerian pygmy goat.

Scott and his family did a great job with Murphy. Scott was always sending updates and we always had peace of mind knowing Murphy was having her own little vacation at their home. I will definitely rebook with Scott in the future.
