About: Hello! I have been pet sitting for 5 years, either staying overnight or just stopping by! I absolutely love watching doggies and helping out when I can. I am able to do whatever you need, I will feed, walk, bathe, etc. i absolutely love meeting new fur babies!! I currently am a student at high point university, majoring in biology. Most of my schedule consists of classes that are about an hour long with hour breaks in between each class. I have a part-time job hosting, only 2 days a week at night time. I am able to take dogs out on a leash, let them out in a yard, crate them, or whatever the plan may be. I can also walk them and pick up after them if preferred! I will give them lots of love and make sure they are comfortable.

Laura was great with our dogs. Kept us up to date on their activities and they were very content when we got home. In the past they would be overly excited when we returned from a trip but this time it didn’t seem like a big deal to them. We will definitely give her a call again.

Valerid struck me as quite competent and professional at her first visit. Best of all she seemed to hit it off right away with my cat, Lucille. It was obvious on our return that she'd done everything very well, and the best part was that she sent pictures of a very happy cat, especially of her being "skritched." Lucille can be shy with strangers but she seemed to take to Valerie right away, and that's the best sign. Valerie left the premises neat and tidy, another plus. I definitely would consider Valerie again when we need to go out of towm.

About: Animals have always played an important part in my life. I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was 10 years old. I have over 30 years of experience in animal husbandry and care. Whenever a family member needs to go out of town, I am the person that they ask to feed their cats and dogs. In college, I took my roommates dogs out for potty breaks and walks when she had classes. In 2021, I stayed for 5 months at a friend's house pet sitting their Chihuahua and cat. I volunteer to walk the dogs at the Guilford County animal shelter every Tuesday. Not only am I a pet sitter, I'm also a pet owner. I currently am owned by four cats and one spoiled pitbull. I just returned from being a Peace Corps volunteer in North Macedonia. My usual fulltime job is TESOL instructor, and this can be done remotely. I am currently not teaching. I am flexible and willing to conform to whatever your pet needs. I'm willing to follow any directions or care that you require for your pet. As a dog walker, I have the equipment to complete the task. I keep poop bags, dog treats, and extra leashes in my car. If I am in your home, I will be sure to follow your directions and keep you posted with pictures throughout the day.

About: I've taken care of dogs for 13 years. No kids and or animals at home. I love animals and welcome cats and dogs of any size or breed. I live walking distance from a soccer field with a great track for walks. Both of my senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge recently and before their passing we had a nice routine going. I work nearby and will come home on my breaks to check on the pups and take them out on pee breaks. I have Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays off, which I normally spend at home or on hikes at local parks. I do not have a fenced in yard. However, I have no issue with pets on the furniture and I have a spare room for crates.

About: I have a passion for caring for all animals. Growing up i always was around pets, dogs, cats, you name it! I am a very athletic person, so i enjoy taking dogs out for a walk and even a run! I am an owner of three dogs myself. I enjoy the company, their hugs and kisses are included! My availability is ANYTIME. I am home full-time! Also, i have a fenced back yard, perfect for playing fetch and i live in a great, peaceful and quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking/running! Located near a park as well, another great place for a walk. Being available anytime is the key to giving your dog ALL the attention and love they need! I look forwards to meeting yours! I am a full-time (online) college student. I get to choose when I want to do my school work. Typically early morning or at night, so it doesn’t interfere with the day. I am home all day unless there’s an appointment for myself/children. Other than that, my availability is open! :-) I have children who will LOVE to keep your pup company throughout the stay. We always go to the park, so your pup will come with us and have a plenty of fun outdoors!

About: I have been an avid animal lover my whole life and that passion has lead me to multiple careers relating to animal care. I've worked in retail, I've worked in shelters and rescues, and I've even done training and behavior modification. I just love to see that animals get the love and attention they deserve! If you ever wondered who animal professionals hire when they need a pet sitter: it's me! I don't mind working with fearful pets, taking joy in letting them build up trust first. I have a knack for getting animals to come out of their shell and I don't take it personally if they need a little extra time to warm up. I'm comfortable with administering medication, grooming and bathing needs, and I don't shy away from a pet that needs a little extra TLC. With enough lead time, I can make myself available for nearly any kind of care your pet needs. I am flexible with time and dates! Cats and dogs can thrive on routine, so I will do my best to stick to your care schedule! Show me how your pet likes to have things done! Of course, there will always be tons of cuddles and pets no matter what!

About: I have cared for many of my own pets over the years! I have a passion for helping animals, all of the pets I have owned have been rescues of some kind. I look forward to taking care of your pets and having fun with them. Most of the time we truly don’t deserve their unwavering love, but taking care of them is very important! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds. I volunteer for dog walks at a local shelter every chance I get, and I look forward to playing with and taking your animals outside! I am most experienced with dogs, but love pets of all kinds. Also I think it is very important to respect the animals space and home 😊

About: I started a pet sitting/dog walking business when I was 12 years old and I worked for the whole neighborhood. Since then I have owned a Jack Russell terrier, a Greyhound, a Maltipoo, a Blue Heeler, and three cats. I have worked with animals, large and small and they all feel very comfortable around me. I work most every day from 10am until 7pm and I have a lunch break from 2 to 2:45 PM. It would be a breeze to fit appointments in around my work schedule. I am a chiropractor by profession, and so I know the importance of exercise, rest, and decreasing stress for my patients. Animals are no exception. They need to have a good walk instead of just using the bathroom and they need to feel calm and peaceful when their owners are away. I got you.

About: Friends, coworkers, and family members have trusted me with taking care of their pets over the years. Most of my formal experience with caring for other peoples pets came during and after college, however I was raised around pets (cats and dogs) and learned how to be safe and responsible with animals when I was very little. I am very comfortable with a variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a good understanding of basic commands and have trained two of my own dogs from puppies. I grew up around dogs and cats (we had three golden retrievers at one point!) and always looked forward to getting a dog of my own. There is something about the bond between owner and dog that is special and unique. I enjoy having this bond with my own dog but I also love meeting new animals and seeing their personalities come out as they get comfortable interacting. I have been exposed to many types of dogs at local dog parks and dog friendly restaurants or other locations. I am familiar with caring for dogs that take oral medication and/or have health problems such as limited sight or blindness. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about hiring me for dog walking, check-ins, or dog day care! I have one small child in the home, so any dogs staying with us during the day or overnight would need to be comfortable and well behaved enough to be around a young child. I wake up early and go to bed around 9pm/10pm. I have one dog in the home who is very friendly and well socialized. He takes little to no time to warm up to other dogs when introduced. Your dog will have plenty of space to be comfortable to chill and play! We enjoy spending time outside on nice days. When it is too hot or cold outside I make sure our pup gets playtime or enrichment toys/treats inside. I currently can offer dog walking services, daily check-ins for cats or dogs, and day/night boarding at our home (as long as your pet is a good and safe fit for a home with a small child). We have a large front and backyard with a carport/porch area. Plenty of space for playing fetch, having the zoomies, or chewing on a treat while getting some fresh air, rain or shine! If your dog requires being leashed/walked when going potty, there is plenty of space to take them around the yard as well as walkable streets near our house, and a park less than 2 minutes away. Our dog currently follows recall and commands to do his "business" but if we are caring for another dog we will leash them both or follow the owner's preferences and what they are comfortable with.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, starting with my own pup who taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and unconditional love. From feeding routines and long walks to medication schedules and belly rubs, I’ve handled it all with care and attention. I understand how hard it can be to leave your dog—and your home—in someone else’s hands. That’s why I treat every pup like family and every home with respect. I keep things clean, calm, and consistent so your dog feels safe and happy in their environment while you’re away. Whether your dog loves daily walks, playtime, or just a quiet companion, I adapt to their needs and routine. You’ll get regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands. Let me help make time away stress-free—for both you and your pup! I’m currently only working some days so whenever it works for our schedules I would love to provide you with all the times needed to help get the best in home pet care! I will care for the pets for when I’m at the clients home, the animals will have my full attention because they matter to me as much as they matter to you!

About: I have worked in the pet industry for 11 years and counting. Ever since I started working at a vet I started pet sitting as well. Starting out for my coworkers and then for clients that came into my job with their pets. I love taking care of and being around animals of all kinds since I was a little girl. I love what I do! I am currently am employed full time at an emergency veterinary office and have a three year old son. I have no animals at this time, so my home is welcome for your fur babies :) Your baby would be well taken care of! They will get food, water, walks, bathroom breaks, and most importantly love! I do work full time but am home when I am not working so I would be able to hang out with your babies whenever I am not working. I can offer bathroom breaks every 2-4 hours when I’m not working, walks in the neighborhood, and plenty of love/attention. I have a three year old boy who love animals and knows how to play nicely and not be rough. I can also give oral medications if needed, I have experience with giving both liquid and pill form medications.

About: Welcome! I bring over 10 years of diverse animal care experience to the table, combining a deep love for pets with a professional, background-tested skill set. Why Choose My Care? + Medical & Veterinary Background: I completed 1.5 years of Veterinary Technician schooling. I am completely comfortable administering medications, tracking health symptoms, and understanding animal medical needs. + Professional Handling Experience: Having worked directly in commercial dog daycares and boarding facilities, I understand canine body language, pack dynamics, and behavioral boundaries at an advanced level. + Multi-Animal Management: I personally manage a balanced multi-animal household, including husky and German Shepherd mixes, cats, and reptiles. I know exactly how to structure environment boundaries, handle food/resource awareness, and keep high-energy or restless animals calm and focused with work or training. My Services: I specialize in structured drop-in visits and walking, along with offering daycare and boarding. If your dog pulls on the leash or struggles with focus, I use positive reinforcement handling to build better loose-leash habits during our time together. I also provide knowledgeable care for cats and exotic pets/reptiles! Note: To ensure the absolute highest quality of care and safety, I only accept bookings for one client family at a time. I am also working overnights, so if boarding during the week, dogs MUST be crate trained. Thank you! I manage a highly structured routine that allows me to accommodate both in-home care and neighborhood visits. For Boarding and Daycare, your pet will be integrated into my daily home flow, enjoying mid-morning outdoor time and structured routines. For Walks and Drop-Ins, I am available for consistent morning and midday or early afternoon neighborhood visits, making me a reliable choice for working professionals who need their pets checked on, fed, or exercised while they are at the office or on the weekend. I have a cozy 1960s 3-bedroom house featuring a dedicated "dog room" built specifically for comfort, play, and safe, separated spaces. My fully fenced-in yard is perfect for secure running or relaxing in the shade. Because of my home's layout, I am able to maintain a highly managed, close-monitored environment where all pet interactions and meals are handled individually to ensure absolute safety.

My husband's hours at work suddenly changed, and I needed someone to stop by midday to let Simba out for a potty break. Laura was exactly what we were looking for. From our first meeting, I had no doubt that she was going to take care of Simba as if he was her own. Laura stopped by around lunchtime four days last week and sent me the cutest pictures, along with updates on his playtime and potty activities. Having those updates gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I feel completely at ease knowing Simba is in such good hands, and I've already booked Laura for a few more weeks of drop-in visits. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!

I had never tried Rover and never meet Christopher prior to this spur of the moment trip. I must say I am impressed. Christopher came over a day or 2 before my trip to meet my dog Annie and let me show him around. He did everything I asked him too and made Annie feel comfortable (even during the 4th of July festivities, when she is usually petrified). I will most definitely ask Christopher to drop-in on Annie in the future.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in High Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in High Point with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in High Point. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
