“Laura was great with our dogs. Kept us up to date on their activities and they were very content when we got home. In the past they would be overly excited when we returned from a trip but this time it didn’t seem like a big deal to them. We will definitely give her a call again.”

“Emma was great with my diabetic cat! She communicated well, and voiced her questions/concerns rather than assuming. My cat also loved her, will definitely be asking her to take care of him again.”

About: I am custom to all dog types, every pet is treated with peace, love, & care. I have had only big breeds as my own, the only big I see is big baby! Lol I can handle a sour patch 🤍🐾 Pet care is part of my daily routine making time for feeding, fresh water, walks or playtime, and plenty of attention to keep pets happy, healthy, and loved. 🐾 I have extensive experience in pet care, specifically with dogs. Over the years, I have honed my skills in various aspects of dog care, which are crucial for a beginner dog walker to understand. Here are the key areas of my experience: 1. Understanding Dog Behavior: • Recognizing different dog temperaments and behaviors. • Identifying signs of stress, anxiety, and aggression. • Understanding body language and vocalizations. 2. Handling and Walking Dogs: • Using proper leash techniques to ensure control and safety. • Managing multiple dogs at once, keeping them calm and orderly. • Navigating different environments, such as parks, streets, and busy areas. 3. Basic Training and Commands: • Teaching and reinforcing basic commands like sit, stay, come, and heel. • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior. • Addressing common behavioral issues like pulling on the leash or barking excessively. 4. Health and Safety: • Recognizing common health issues, such as overheating, dehydration, and injuries. • Administering basic first aid and knowing when to seek veterinary care. • Ensuring dogs have access to clean water and are protected from extreme weather conditions. 5. Socialization: • Introducing dogs to new people and other dogs in a controlled manner. • Ensuring positive interactions and preventing conflicts. • Understanding the importance of regular socialization for a dog’s well-being. 6. Exercise and Play: • Providing appropriate levels of exercise based on the dog’s age, breed, and health. • Engaging dogs in stimulating activities to keep them mentally and physically active. • Using toys and games to make walks enjoyable and enriching. 7. Routine Care: • Maintaining a consistent walking schedule to meet the dog’s needs. • Ensuring cleanliness by picking up after the dog and disposing of waste properly. • Monitoring the dog’s overall condition and reporting any concerns to the owner. 8. Communication with Owners: • Providing regular updates on the dog’s behavior, health, and activities. • Listening to and addressing any specific concerns or requests from the owners. • Building trust and a strong relationship with both the dog and the owner. By understanding and applying these principles, I ensure that the dogs in my care are happy, healthy, and well-behaved. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and a genuine love for animals, which I believe are essential qualities for any successful dog walker.

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets. I’ve been a vet technician since 2018 .I currently have 1 cat, 2 dogs, 1 parrot and even chickens, so I understand how important it is to give every animal attention, patience, and loving care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pets company, I’ll treat them like family while you’re away. I’m comfortable with different personalities and routines, and I always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m available evening. after my shift at the vet during the week and available on weekends anytime . In drop by visit, or sitting for a few hours. I love meeting new fur friends and am comfortable caring for pets with anxiety, disabilities, or medication needs. I’m patient, dependable, and happy to give every pet the love and care they deserve.
About: I’ve had a passion for dogs and animals from a very young age and have spent most of my life around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience through owning, caring for, and training my own dogs while learning the importance of patience, consistency, structure, and building trust with every animal. For the past year, I’ve been working with dogs professionally through dog walking, pet sitting, basic obedience training, and daily care. During that time, I’ve continued developing my skills in canine behavior, leash handling, crate training, socialization, and positive reinforcement techniques. I’m especially passionate about helping dogs become confident, well-mannered companions while making sure they feel safe, exercised, and cared for. My experience as both a lifelong dog owner and a professional pet care provider has taught me that every dog is different and deserves individualized attention, compassion, and understanding. Whether working with puppies, high-energy working breeds, or family pets, I take pride in creating a calm, positive experience for both dogs and their owners. I work from home from 8AM to 5PM. So I have plenty of time in the morning and in the evening for feeding. I also have the freedom of taking breaks to play with your pets regularly. The safety, comfort, and trust of every pet in my care is always my top priority. I work hard to create a calm, structured, and positive environment where pets can feel secure, relaxed, and cared for like family. I understand that every animal has its own personality, routines, and comfort levels, so I take the time to build trust patiently and respectfully. Whether I’m walking, training, or pet sitting, I focus on maintaining safe handling practices, close supervision, clean spaces, and consistent routines. I pay attention to behavior, stress signals, and each pet’s individual needs to help them feel confident and comfortable while away from their owners. As both a lifelong pet owner and someone who works with animals professionally, I know how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind.

About: My journey started with owning cats growing up and training every animal I ever owned leading up to my first dog. My cats and even my bird. When I was 12, I started dog sitting Pierre, my mom’s coworkers Yorkshire Terrier. He caused me to fall in love with dogs. I became obsessed with AKC dog shows, my mom and I watched it every Thanksgiving morning after the parade. I actually loved anything with animals. I owned many cats from the age of 4 through my teenage years. I love cats but they can’t do what dogs can. Finally after years of begging, my mom got us our first dog, Omega. He was a beautiful standard poodle and was so smart. My best friends mom had a friend who needed to rehome one of hers, he was 1 when we got him and I taught him all he knew from down, stay to jumping over a pole. Before going off to college I chose to foster dogs in need and I fostered three successfully who went off and found their forever homes. It was the most rewarding thing. So I decided if I can work with dogs my entire life and just be around them all day for a job Id be in heaven! Naturally my teenage brain thought “I’ll be a Veterinarian”! I completed 3 years at Virginia Tech majoring in Animal & Poultry Science doing the Companion Animal Tract. I was able to receive a lot of hands on experience with animals of all kinds; pigs, cattle, sheep, horses and chickens (of all ages). I learned skills from halter breaking heifers to administering shots in 3 different ways. Though I do enjoy animals of all kinds I eventually came to the realization that I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and I’m constantly training my own. I currently have two that im working with regularly just for fun at one point and so it dawned on me that I’m in the wrong career. So while in the process of developing and launching my own personal Dog training and boarding business. Since I work from home, I have the time and knowledge to be able to dedicate to helping others who are in need of these services now. Trusting their fur babies will receive the best of care and would be made to feel at home. If your baby is more comfortable in their own home I’m happy to accommodate to their needs. Leaving your fur babies is not always easy, trust me, I’m having to do it for the first time soon myself and with me you can have the peace of mind that your furry friends will be in great hands, as I will treat them just how I’d expect mine to be treated ! With nothing but love, care and patience. I have Experience with all ages! Omega was with us until he passed at the age of 14! My dogs recently had an accidental litter and I raised up 10 puppies who all lived and are 12 weeks old now ! I’m familiar with administering pills or medications if necessary. 7 puppies remain in my care as I want to make sure they go to great homes and I plan to train them as service dog prospects ! I train dogs in basic and advance obedience, on and off leash training, and some skills like protection and sport work. I work from home full time starting my work day at 12:30 pm and ending at 9 pm. I get two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch through the day. During which they would be able to potty and play. So your furry friend will always have someone home with them. It is a goal of mine to eventually do this full time. I have A large yard on an acre property. Dogs who are trained off leash can roam in the back which has rock boarders lining the property. For those not trained off lead i have A long 30 ft lead which will still allow them the freedom to run around. I have two adult dogs and a litter of puppies still with me who can keep any anxious friends company. And for those who need to be alone, my two can be kept upstairs in my room and the puppies can be crated leaving your friend the entire downstairs to roam or in my work office with me while I work. I have two large crates which can be used if your friend has a hard time getting settled in a new environment. I provide an enriching environment where your fur baby will learn how to be a better k9 citizen everyday ! Picture and video updates can be sent regularly !

“Leigh did an outstanding job caring for our two cats! She sent photos and videos daily of her drop in visits. Played with, brushed, gave snacks and spent extra time coaxing our shy Maine Coon out of his favorite hiding spot. She also vacuumed the Hardwood floors daily. Highly recommend and definitely will use again!”
