“Ruah was so kind and understanding with my 2 senior rescue dogs and all their quirks! She sent updates and photos during her visit and my dogs were well cared for and happy when I got home. Having someone I can trust to care for them like their own pets is a blessing! I have already rebooked with Ruah and would recommend her to any pet owners.”

About: Hello! My name is Rebecca, I am twenty five years old. I have been passionate about animals since I was a child! I grew up in 4-h with horses and have been rescuing and rehoming kittens throughout my life. During collage I completed two internships at W.O.L.F. in CO and The Animal Parks in Burlington NC. And I worked as a veterinary assistant for Vetco’s clinic for two years. I now volunteer with the North Carolina zoo and AARF. My experiences have given me a lot of knowledge and confidence with different types of animals. I love really getting to know each and every animal and learning more about their personalities. The services I can provide include: Dog walking, feeding, cleaning up after animals, play time, litter box cleaning, brushing, and administering oral medications. I would love to provide the care needed to keep your pets comfortable while you are away. I have an older dog of my own that I care for everyday. He gets join supplements and other medications everyday and get played with when he has the energy. I also have a very energetic kitten that loves to play and spend time outside in his cat balcony! I make sure to try and keep on the same schedule as their owners. Sometimes that includes waking up early for feeding and giving medications or taking their dogs on two walks a day! I make sure to give cats their own space to feel safe and interact as much as they want! I also ensure the litter box is cleaned every day.
“Sarah was great and the pups loved playing with their new friend! She was prompt with the requested visit times and helped with cleaning up a few messes that they made. I'm not sure who had more fun, Sarah or the mutts!”

About: Hi! I'm Dr. Mo -- I'm reliable, attentive, and I absolutely love doggos! I'm the person people trust with their pets when they're out of town, working, or overwhelmed (let's face it -- life is lifing pretty hard these days). I have a kind, grounded, and loving presence and tend to do well even with high-energy and sensitive pets. I'm a psychologist --the human kind --but I am tuned in to behavior and routines, so I pick up on what helps your pet feel safe and comfortable. Whether it's long walks (or run/hikes!), playtime, or just keeping a consistent schedule while you're away --I'll treat your pet like my own. I'm also comfortable with medications, special instructions, or multi-pet households. You'll get regular photos and updates so you'll never have to wonder how things are going. If you're looking for someone dependable who genuinely gets animals (and their humans) I'd be honored to help. The doctor is in (and down for walks!) I currently work part time (remotely) as a college professor and run my own consulting firm, so I have flexibility to care for animals all week! I tend to work from a local coffee shop or my apartment mid day, but like to take morning and afternoon breaks -- which is perfect for dog sitting/walking! I live in a shared apartment, so won't be boarding dogs, but I'm happy to house/pet sit at your home. I've been doing this for friends, family, and faculty, for over 10 years! My work is flexible -- if I have my laptop, I'm set to work from anywhere. I'm adaptable and respectful of privacy, and enjoy having a change of scenery and working from different environments -- and enjoying the company of a special doggie pal makes life more wonderful.
About: I have cared for cats and dogs all of my life. I currently care for my two lovely cats, Klaus and Stanly. I have experience with taking care of kittens, adults, and senior kitties. I am experienced with caring for pets that have needed medication administration. For dogs, I am an incredibly physically active individual (ballet dancer!), and am very capable of fulfilling any walking, running, or exercise needs you dog may have! I offer check-ins, dog walking, cat sitting, and dog sitting. I'm currently a full-time senior undergraduate student at UNCSA. I have the most availability on Weekends and Holidays. During the Spring Semester, I will have limited availability during weekdays. I care for pets by maintaining their usual routine and creating a calm, attentive environment, whether in my home or a client’s home! I make sure all basic needs are consistently met, including feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes or outdoor areas, and ensuring appropriate exercise and playtime. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual personality and comfort level, adjusting my approach to their energy, boundaries, and preferences. I also monitor behavior, appetite, and overall health so I can quickly notice any changes and communicate them to the owner. My goal is always to keep your pets comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you're away!

About: As a pet owner of both a dog and a cat, I have daily hands-on experience caring for pets with different personalities and needs. From walks and playtime to feeding and companionship, I provide attentive, loving care and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a middle school Spanish teacher, which means I have full availability throughout the summer. With a flexible schedule and plenty of free time, I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care during weekdays and weekends. I look forward to spending quality time with your pets and giving them the attention they deserve! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I make sure pets are supervised, secure, and comfortable at all times, whether in their home or mine. I believe in building trust through clear communication and providing updates so owners can feel confident their pets are receiving loving and responsible care.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Winston-Salem
I cannot even rave enough about Meredith. We last minute had a family member back out of watching our 2 dogs and 2 cats for our 4 day vacation. Scrambling to find an alternative, we hit the internet and found Rover. Which led us to Meredith. She was able to care for our pets for all four days including walking, feeding, playing, and cleaning after them. She kept us updated everyday and sent photos of all of the babies. We will be booking again!

Tara was great. Shadow and Angel both love to see her and seemed really excited when I got home from work. They even both had a little accident with one getting sick the first day, and I really appreciate Tara cleaning up as best she could so I didn't come home to too bad of a mess. Great communication and my babies definitely got great care.

Connor was so sweet and accommodating for our little critter crew!! It was our first time away from them for this long and we came back to a happy, healthy bunch. He was super attentive to less pleasant occurrences during our time away — whether it was a broken glass or something else, he handled everything without hesitation. We’d be happy to work with him again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
