“Mary is the best!!! She is so sweet, and took great care of Millie. They went on walks and played fetch. She kept me updated, and took lots of great photos!! My dog was so happy with her, thank you again!!”

“Our Poodle had a great time during Daycare! We were sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the day and always felt he was happy and safe! In the pictures he looks like he had a blast and we can't wait to visit Tyra again!”

“Becky provided great care for my puppy Milo! She communicated well setting up the day care appointment and gave me frequent updates during the day. She made me and my dog few comfortable and I would highly recommend her!”

“Taylor is such a wonderful person! My girl had a great time with her dog and cats. I really appreciate Taylor’s flexibility and prompt responses. I now have a weekly recurring schedule with her”

“Rebecca did a great job taking care of our Cavapoo. We are not from North Carolina and leaving our baby with someone we don’t know isn’t always ideal. We felt completely comfortable with Rebecca and her extensive background working with animals. Highly recommend her if you need a dog sitter in Greensboro!”

“Stephanie is a fantastic sitter! She has kept my nine-year-old Maltipoo, Happy, several times. Each time, Stephanie went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and to ensure that Happy felt right at home. Even her poodle, Sammy, was the perfect "little host' and is now Happy's new BFF. The photo updates that Stephanie sent me throughout the day always brought smiles to my face as I could see how much Happy was enjoying himself as he and Sammy explored her lovely fenced backyard or sat together staring outside. I am so pleased to have found such a wonderful and safe "home away from home" for my little fur baby.”

Rest assured knowing that we have experience with anxiety, potty-training, illness, minor injuries - you name it! We also take leashed walks around the property 2-3 times per day. We are home most of the day to love and play on your furry friend. Please feel free to bring their bed or crate if that will make their stay more comfortable.
“Meredith has been an absolute hidden treasure!! I had been looking for somebody to watch my puppy for me while I was work for weeks. For one reason or another, I just couldn’t find anybody who could help me. I came across Meredith’s profile and I decided to reach out and I have had nothing but a good experience ever since!!! Meredith is an extremely kind person with a wonderful personality. She has been so accommodating with her time and was absolutely unafraid to open up her home to my new puppy. She has done nothing but lavish love and affection on my Ava. I don’t worry at all when she is with Meredith because I know that she is in great hands and getting the best care. I’ll never be able to thank her enough for all that she has done for my puppy and my peace of mind. Thanks for absolutely everything Meredith!!!”

Having someone reliable, care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, has been shown to minimize stress while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client's home, there are several important aspects for me to consider: 1. ** Feeding and Watering:** Ensure that the pets are fed according to their schedule and dietary requirements. Provide fresh water at all times. 2. **Medications:** Administer any necessary medications as instructed by the client or veterinarian. 3. **Exercise:** Take the pets for regular walks or outdoor playtime to meet their exercise needs and provide mental stimulation. 4. **Toilet Breaks:** Let the pets out for bathroom breaks and clean up after them as needed. 5. **Play and Interaction:** Engage in interactive play sessions, provide toys, and offer companionship to prevent boredom and loneliness. 6. **Housekeeping:** Ensure the pet's living area is clean and tidy, including cleaning up any accidents or messes. 7. **Communication:** Maintain open communication with the pet owner, providing updates on their pets' well-being and any concerns that arise. 8. **Emergency Preparedness:** Be aware of emergency contacts, the location of the nearest veterinary clinic, and any specific instructions for emergencies. Every pet is unique, so it's crucial for me to follow the owner's instructions and cater to the specific needs and routines of each pet I am caring for.
“This was Olive's first doggie daycare experience in someone's home. She was very nervous but Shamira was patient with her and let Olive warm up to her in her own time. She even took her on a walk!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
