“Jennifer was wonderful! She took excellent care of my pups and kept me informed with pupdates. I loved seeing the pictures. She was super flexible with my last minute changes. I would definitely recommend her.”

“We’re so glad we found Morgann! She went above and beyond to take care of our baby. We could tell our dog was happy to be visited by her. She’s now our go to whenever our baby needs company when we’re gone!”

“Justin did a fantastic job taking care of our kitties Phoenix and Cici while we were away! He was extremely professional, communicative, and very thoughtful. 5 stars all around!”

“We have semi-difficult dogs, and Angie was excellent with them. It was reassuring to know that she was there to meet all their needs. She was on time with the scheduled walking and feeding. It is with the upmost confidence that we will be using her services again.”

About: I've taken care of Cats, Dogs, Guinea pigs, Rats, Ferrets, and Anoles. All animals are family and they should be loved and cared for as such. I work freelance as an illustrator. Working remote gives me the flexibility to be there for your fur family when they need care, company, and connection. My partner and I have a six year old cat named Roger. He needs his arthritis meds every day and needs company when he eats.
About: Animals have always played an important part in my life. I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was 10 years old. I have over 30 years of experience in animal husbandry and care. Whenever a family member needs to go out of town, I am the person that they ask to feed their cats and dogs. In college, I took my roommates dogs out for potty breaks and walks when she had classes. In 2021, I stayed for 5 months at a friend's house pet sitting their Chihuahua and cat. I volunteer to walk the dogs at the Guilford County animal shelter every Tuesday. Not only am I a pet sitter, I'm also a pet owner. I currently am owned by four cats and one spoiled pitbull. I just returned from being a Peace Corps volunteer in North Macedonia. My usual fulltime job is TESOL instructor, and this can be done remotely. I am currently not teaching. I am flexible and willing to conform to whatever your pet needs. I'm willing to follow any directions or care that you require for your pet. As a dog walker, I have the equipment to complete the task. I keep poop bags, dog treats, and extra leashes in my car. If I am in your home, I will be sure to follow your directions and keep you posted with pictures throughout the day.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally. I grew up in a dog-loving home and have hands-on experience with all kinds of pups—from cuddly lap dogs to high-energy, hyperactive breeds. I understand dog behavior, know how to keep even the most energetic pups engaged, and I’m patient and gentle with dogs of all ages. Whether your dog needs extra playtime, calming companionship, or a steady routine, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work part-time, which means I’m available most hours of the day to give your dog the attention they deserve. My flexible schedule allows me to offer consistent care, whether that’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping your pup company. Pet care isn’t just something I fit in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my day. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, I always aim to match their usual schedule and routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I take time to learn each dog’s unique needs—whether they’re playful, anxious, energetic, or just love cuddles. I have the energy and experience to keep up with high-activity pups and the patience to care for more laid-back or sensitive dogs. My goal is to provide personalized, loving care that feels just like home.
“Thank you Christopher for your help. He was great with communication and he even arrived early for the check ins. I have a 1 year old and she is still potty training and gets anxious while I’m away. She left a surprise, but he was still willing to help and clean it up and I really appreciate that and still felt bad. I’m grateful he took the extra step, thank you.”

About: If you're looking for a dog walker, boarding, or staying at your home to watch your pets then look no further! I have cared for many pets ranging from puppies to senior animals to reptiles. I work at the NC Zoo, so I am able to go home and let dogs out/walk them over my hour lunch. I do watch my parents 2 Australian shepherds whenever they are out of town at my home, with a fenced in backyard, and my 2 cats get along with the dogs fine! I am a full-time zookeeper with a rotating schedule. I am available for at home care, overnight care as well as drop in visits throughout the week! I have a small fenced in backyard and 2 animal friendly cats. If needed, I am able to close my cats into their separate room when I'm not home. If providing care at client's home, I will walk, feed, medicate and play with them as well as spend the night if needed.
“Cheyanne was amazing. Her incredible communication, tons of pictures, and detailed updates on how Chewy was each day made our vacation stress free and so enjoyable. We will definitely be rebooking with Cheyanne anytime we need a sitter.”

“Cindy is an excellent sitter! She followed all of the directions I left for her and communicated with me after each visit to my house. I was really looking for a sitter that would not only be reliable, but that also cared about the wellbeing of my pet. Cindy is this type of sitter! I could tell from her reports that she really took the time to make sure that all of my cat's needs were met - from feeding, to petting, to cleaning his litterbox. I would highly recommend her!”

About: I was a zookeeper for 15+ years and have experience with a plethora of species. I have fostered animals of all kinds through different rescue organizations. I am a large breed person who currently has a smaller dog and cat. I spent many of my zookeeping years training animals, and have experience with strong stubborn dog breeds. I thoroughly enjoy a senior pet who will cuddle on the couch while I drink my coffee. I currently work from 9-1:30, with a spouse that works from home. My schedule allows plenty of time for morning walks and afternoon love and care. I am available for boarding most days, and dog walking, house checks in afternoons. A large portion of my yard is fenced so there is plenty of room for your dogs to stretch their legs outside of walks. I have a 30lb senior dog at home who occasionally enjoys a new companion. Otherwise my children love animals and always enjoy a new playmate, while being respectful of their boundaries. I prefer crating dogs whenever we are not home, at least until we know them and how they interact with my pets. I have crates from small to XXL so no need to bring your own.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Climax. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
