About: I've lived with pets my entire life (mostly dogs). Have experience with cats as well. No matter the animal it's one of God's creatures and is deserving of love and respect. I have a fairly set schedule so anything outside of that I'm always looking to fill with time meeting and helping people. Pets are always an added bonus! I care for them as if they were my actual human children, because that's what they are to me: children that never fully grow up. And all children are deserving of love and attention. I don't really believe in crates, unless the owner wants that. I like to go on walks, play and just hang out on the couch or the bed. It's whatever the owner and the pet want!

About: I grew up on a farm with 5 dogs. When I moved to the US, I got my own puppy (a golden retriever), and I trained her myself. I foster dogs and cats from nearby shelters. I always make sure to follow instructions for a seamless transition for your animal! I have a dog myself. When my family and I got her, I signed a contract to take care of her myself. She is now almost 8 years old, always full of joy and in great health. I love to play with dogs, and get them tired and ready to take a nap! I have no problem following detailed instructions, and every visit I take pics to show you your fur baby is being well cared for! I am free most mornings before 8:30am and in the evenings after 6pm. On weekends I have more flexibility in my schedule. I’ll be happy to work with you on whatever your scheduling needs are! If a client discusses a list of instructions, I’ll do my best to follow them to the letter. Otherwise, I’ll follow what to me is ideal care for an animal: ensuring they have clean and fresh water, proper food, cleaning litter boxes or taking a dog out for a walk as needed, and spending a little time cuddling and playing (respecting how shy they might be!). If a pet is too shy to play, sometimes I’ll just spend a few minutes sitting on the floor and talking to them in a soothing voice so they can get used to my presence as someone who is friendly. If approved beforehand, I can even bring (or use your own) a few treats! I may also reach out to you if I see something that I think needs addressing (not enough food or litter, a pet seeming lethargic or coughing excessively etc.). If that happens, I’ll discuss with you how you want to handle it. In case of illness, I take my own cats to Wentworth Animal Hospital so, for example, if I saw your cat seemed to be vomiting excessively, if you approved it I would have no problem taking them in for a walk-in and working out the payment and a reasonable rate with you over the phone. The most important thing is to ensure that your fur baby is given the best care possible. :-)
