“Gemma looked after my two one-year-old cats while I was away on a family beach trip for five days. I was nervous about leaving my kitties overnight for the first time. She came for an initial visit before my trip so I could meet her and explain how to care for the kitties. While I was gone, she did two drop-in visits a day to give the cats fresh food and water and scoop litter boxes. She also played with them with one of their favorite wand toys! She sent me updates from every visit with a written description, photos, and even some video clips. It made me feel much better to get regular updates on how they were doing! The kitties were nervous at first but even my shy kitty warmed up to her after a few visits. Gemma did a great job looking after my kitties and helped to put my mind at ease. About: I've worked with all kinds of animals from the age of 10 and onwards. Whether it be helping elderly neighbors with their high energy dogs or being there for elderly unloved cats at local shelters, I'm happy to take care of any size, needs, or energy levels of your pets. I'm currently a student at a nearby university. As a full time student, I'm most available in the afternoons on weekdays and midday on weekends. However, my schedule is constantly changing so I'm very flexible! I'm very comfortable accommodating any length of walk your dog may need, whether that be 30 min or 90 min. I always make sure to take with me on the go water bowls and water, waste bags, and any treats. I'm also happy to send any photos and pet updates as requested.

I’m comfortable with routines, schedules, feeding times, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. Im a mom and I have dogs of my own, so I’m pretty used to taking care of everyone and keeping up with a routine 😂. When I’m watching someone else’s pets, I really just treat them like they’re my own. I’ll follow whatever routine they’re used to, make sure they’re fed and let out, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and of course lots of cuddles if they’re into that. About: I’ve always had a passion for animals. Growing up, my mother was a dog sitter, which made me comfortable around most, if not all, breeds. I would help her with feeding while she took the dogs out. Now that I’m older, I have two huskies and a cat. My ultimate goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets. 😂 So, my love for animals is quite immense. I’m currently in school and volunteer for 4-5 hours each day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I can provide potty breaks whenever needed, except during my volunteer work. Since these volunteer days are mandatory for my school program, we’ll have to find a way to accommodate them. Aside from these commitments, I’m mostly at home, except for occasional errands. I only allow one pooch per night, as per my previous experiences. Please be considerate of this, unless discussed otherwise, as it’s more for the comfort of both yours and mine. ☺️ I have a vast yard, spanning 2 acres. Approximately half of it is fenced in to provide a safe space for my two energetic huskies. One of them is particularly lazy, while the other is quite active. Additionally, I have a cat that has a fondness for our dogs.
About: I grew up on a farm with 5 dogs. When I moved to the US, I got my own puppy (a golden retriever), and I trained her myself. I foster dogs and cats from nearby shelters.
