“Jessica is the best! Prompt, friendly, attentive, great with animals… I was so relieved to have found her on Rover! Would definitely use her again and definitely recommend her!”

About: I was raised around cats and dogs since before I could walk, I absolutely adore animals however at the moment it unfortunately doesn’t make sense to get pets of my own. That’s why I love taking care of other people’s pets! Prior to making this account on Rover, I volunteered at an animal shelter and have dog sat/walked for friends and family and completely fell in love with this line of line of work. I’ll happily play fetch or take your dog on a hike. I’d love to brush out your cat’s coat and entertain them with toys. I have experience making frozen enrichment activities for the shelter dogs as well. I would love to meet your furry family and sincerely promise they will be cared for with the love and respect that family members deserve. I have a very flexible schedule, I’m practically going to be there when you need me with in reason of course. Just about anything in my life can be moved around to accommodate you if I have enough notice. Things always come up and life is unpredictable so as long as we are both understanding of that for each other all will be well. Give me your rule book for your pets and I will follow it. I love going on walking trails so if you felt comfortable with your dog leaving the home I’d be ecstatic to take them on an adventure. Like I’ve said before, your pets will be treated as my family. I will advocate for your animals and protect them in every way that I can.
“Shelby has watched our cats twice now and she always does a fantastic job! She’s communicative and kind, and is always sure to send us plenty of update pictures and notes.”

“Erika was awesome! Quick to respond, patient, friendly, and was flexible and happy to answer any questions I had. I definitely plan to book her again in the future for my furbaby”

“Amber did a wonderful job of caring for my sweet cat, Max, while I was away for a week! He is normally a shy cat, but he warmed up to Amber immediately and was very comfortable with her! Will certainly rebook any time I need a sitter. ☺️?”

“Cynthia took such excellent care of my furbaby! I cannot recommend her enough! She took time for a couple of meet and greets before my booking so my dog would get accustomed to her presence. I noticed that my dog was much more relaxed at the second visit, which made me feel at ease knowing Cynthia would be taking such excellent care of her. Truly a stand-out quality caretaker for my furbaby!”

“We love Lauren and we honestly would not survive without her help every week. She has great communication, is great with her scheduling/timing, and is the best with helping the pups get all their energy out, I also love that she always sends pictures them. They absolutely adore her!! I would definitely recommend her to anyone with fur babies!”

“A great first experiencing using a sitter from Rover! There was great communication before and during the requested days of service. Our dog was well cared for and seems he enjoyed the attention he received while we were away.”

“Gretchen is phenomenal. You can tell that she genuinely cares about taking the best care of your pet. She is kind, personable, and an all around exceptional sitter. I will definitely be booking again!”

“Lauren was great! Our dog absolutely loved her, and we can’t wait to book with her again soon. She is very sweet, and we know that our dog is in good hands with her while we are away.”

About: I was a pet sitter for dogs and cats throughout middle and high school, for over 30 families. After college, I’m ready to get back to it! I’m an animal lover at heart, with a medium goldendoodle! I work full-time at Elon University, but am flexible before 9AM, during the lunch hour 12-1 pm, and evenings until 10:30 pm. I prioritize a 30-min visit with your pet, including feeding, playing, cuddles, & a walk, if requested. I prioritize you & the pet’s comfortability above all else. I prefer a Meet & Greet before scheduled service to make sure your animal feels comfortable & we can be on the same page with expectations and availability
“Grace did a great job watching our three cats! All their needs were taken care of, plus she gave them love. Most importantly, she communicated with messages and photos that gave me peace of mind as I enjoyed my trip. Thank you, Grace!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Westview Terrace
Shelby is fantastic! She provides excellent photo updates including pictures of the food bowls, our cat, where she's left our key (by request) etc. We feel so confident our cat is well taken care of when Shelby comes to check in on her. She also brought in our packages which was really appreciated. We highly recommend her!

The kitties seemed very content when I arrived back home. That's always a good sign! Jessica went beyond what was necessary to insure all of the bowls, utensils, and other stuff was neatly rinsed and stacked in the kitchen sink. Will definitely mark Jessica as my go to Rover person!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westview Terrace. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
