“Olivia did a great job with my two senior kitties. Even giving Albuteral puffs to one of them. She gave them love and made sure to follow all my directions. The pictures she sent were great too. I totally recommend her and will use her again!”

“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”

“Carolyn did an excellent job taking care of my two cats, and followed instructions perfectly. She even left a light on for me when I returned home late tonight, which was a pleasant surprise!! Would definitely recommend!!”

“Helena has provided excellent care for my puppy, shared great photos and reports for each visit, and always maintained great communication with me. She was very observant from day one, followed instructions and always kept me abreast of any changes or concerns regarding my pet. Thanks, Helena!”

About: I have been a dedicated animal lover and pet owner my entire life. Growing up, I helped care for our family's dog who came from the shelter extremely burned and know from a young age how to care for dogs with all needs and expectations. I understand exactly how much peace of mind means to owners and will treat your furry family members with the same love and attention I give my own. I work a hybrid schedule so I will be able to pop in and or stay awhile to take care of your pets. I work full time however my job is flexible and allows me to work from home! I can easily pop in or stay longer to take care of your children. I am not accepting pets in my own home at this time but will gladly come to your home to take care of your babies!

About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends, family, and people in my community for several years now. I absolutely love dogs and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m very reliable, good with routines, and instructions. I’ll always do my best to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved! I do work a full time job during the week, but I have flexibility for midday let outs and am available mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends! My schedule works best for pets that are okay being alone during part of the workday. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! I always follow care instructions closely and try to keep pets on their normal routines so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away.
About: I truly love animals and care for every pet like they’re my own. I’m patient, dependable, and always try to make pets feel comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to adjust to each pet’s personality and routine. I also love sending photo updates so owners can feel at ease. Spending time with animals is honestly one of the best parts of my day. I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy making time for walks, playtime, cuddles, feedings, and check-ins throughout the week. Caring for pets feels natural to me, and I love making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet and home with care and respect, always following your instructions closely to keep your pet safe and comfortable. I pay attention to routines, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pet feels calm, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I also send regular updates so you always know how things are going.
“Mark always goes the extra mile to make sure our dogs are well cared for and loved. When an ice storm hit while we were out of town, he ensured that the dogs received the care they needed. So appreciate how he’s thinking about our dogs like his own.”

“We had an excellent experience with Sydney! care of our cats while we were on vacation. She was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of our cats while we were on vacation. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our cats were well cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Amanda was great! She is very responsible, prompt, detail oriented and my cats loved her. I have 3 pretty outgoing cats, each with their own quirks, and it can be a lot when they are all hungry and want to play. She was great with all of them, got to know each of them, and spent a little one on one time with each despite time constraints. I will definitely hire her again when I travel.”

“Allyson did a great job watching our 2 pups over a few days, and was very flexible with our schedule, which we so appreciate! She took care of the dogs to the same level we do with so much care, and was very communicative over the whole duration of her checking in on them. Highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Amy is very reliable and responsive. She sends daily updates and photos which gave me so much peace in mind knowing my cat was in good hands. I highly recommend her and would book her again.”

About: Since college, I’ve been asked to care for others’ puppies/dogs! I’m intentional in knowing your buddy’s personality and wants/needs. I wanna make sure that they feel as loved as they do with you! I work a 9am - 5pm job and I make sure that my own pup is cared for before my day starts, during lunch time, and after my job. If they boarded with me, I would spend at least an hour and a half with your pup and mine to make sure that they get a big chunk of exercise (walking, playing, training), get fed, & get snuggles before I leave for work. Then, during my lunch hour I would make sure that they get fed, go for a walk, & play. At night, I would have the same structure with a little bit more of rest time and play time! While I’m at work, I keep my pup in a small play pen with toys/activities. She has to a little bit of room to walk around in the play pen as well. I have an extra play pen for your pup to be in while I’m at work or they can be in the same pen as my pup!
“Very communicative and was awesome! My mom and I live about ten minutes away from each other, but we both went on vacation so we booked Krystal for both of us with close times together. She made it work and worked with us on it. Highly recommend!”

About: I have experience with “basic training” meaning sit, paw, wait at door to potty, wait to eat unless given approval (meaning not to rush to eat and wait for me to put food in the bowl). I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have loved and cared for every single one of them until they have passed away from cancer or natural causes. I have 2 pups currently that I have rescued one from abuse and one from the animal shelter. If I could have more animals I definitely would but it is not possible for me (it could be if my husband approved lol). Pet care fits into my daily or weekly routine because I am currently 2 month postpartum and have become a stay at home mom. I would love to be able to help take care of animals while pet parents are going on vacation or have to work long excessive hours or just in general need of help when needed. I have a fenced in yard. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats currently with one recently passing away a year ago from a virus that didn’t show up until she was 2 years old (genetic). My cats have one cat litter box (automatic one) and it cleanse itself, however it needs a deep cleaning once a month or every other month. I teach my 2 pups how to sit, give paw, and wait for my command to start eating and go to door when needing to go potty.
“Rachel is going to be our go to person for our puppers! She is so sweet with him and willing to give him all the butt scratches his little heart desires. He is a older and very mellow and can’t really go on walks but she she was more than willing to just sit with him as he enjoyed some outdoor time laying in the sun. She is also very responsive and keeps me updated on absolutely everything! I know Jameson is already looking forward to seeing her again soon!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glen Allen
Taylor took amazing care of our two dogs over the 4th of July weekend, and we couldn't be happier! She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly loved all the attention they received. We could tell they were in great hands from start to finish. We highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our pups!

I’m so grateful that a friend recommended rover to me. I was able to secure a reliable, loving animal caregiver to care for my pets while I was away. Having Anne’s help gave me peace of mind. She’s honest and caring. I sincerely think Anne was a true blessing.

Beck went above and beyond for our girls. She was punctual, professional and spent extra time hanging out and playing with our dogs. She took plenty of pictures, and even offered to come back the same day when our trip home was delayed. She's quick to text back and educated us on how Rover works for us amateurs. Will definitely book with her again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
