About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. In February, I got my first puppy of my own, a large, high-energy breed, and have been raising and training him myself. That experience has taught me a lot about puppy care, leash walking, basic training, and handling energetic dogs. I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they get the care, attention, and exercise they need! I have just graduated college and will be starting my masters next month. This summer I am very flexible with time and spend most days with my puppy, or taking care of others! I have a very friendly dog that is 8 months old. He loves to play and go on many adventures. We are familiar with several nearby parks and trails for long walks!
About: Hi! My name is Sammi and I’d love to take care of your pet 🦮🐈⬛. I have always had a passion for spending time with and taking care of animals. I dreamt of being a veterinarian for many years, which led me to work or volunteer with animals in a variety of settings. I have been taking care of my own pets since I was 12, and I have 3 years of professional animal care experience. Previously, I volunteered at a working dog training center and at a cat rescue. I also worked as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital. As a pet-sitter/caregiver, I’m patient and attentive to your furry friend’s needs. Whether your pet is a bundle of energy or shy and reserved, I respect their boundaries and meet them where they’re at! Please note that for boarding requests, my apartment only allows me to board dogs up to 30 lbs. Feel free to contact me to find out if I’d be a good fit for you and your pet! 😊🐾 I am a graduate student and I typically have on-campus responsibilities Monday-Friday (not always lasting the full day). I am about a 15 minute walk from campus, so I can stop home between classes and meetings for walks and drop-ins (including for pets I board in my home). I am best suited to board and house-sit for dogs that require potty breaks every 4-8 hours. I am only available for house-sitting on Fridays-Mondays. For the Fall 2026 semester, I have evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will arrive home around 8 PM. I am able to let boarding dogs out for potty breaks in the late afternoon (around 3:30-5) before my class starts, though! I’m happy to help with any special pet care needs, such as feeding special diets or grooming. Because I have experience working in an animal hospital, I can also help with administering some medications. I have experience with shy cats, dogs reactive to people or other animals, high-energy dogs, and other pet personalities. When pet-sitting or doing drop-ins, I also make sure to follow any rules or guidelines you have for your home. I’m happy to discuss how I can meet your pet’s needs.
“Nick’s care and communication have been absolutely phenomenal, and I truly appreciated it. I could tell Sebastian felt well loved and cared for through the pictures that he sent during my time away! This was my first time using Rover, and I'm sold. I'll definitely keep Nick in mind as I travel frequently, and we've had some family shifts so care is not always as readily available.”

“Twice now, I have had last minute situations that left me in a bind for dog care. Emmalee was fast, responsive, and available immediately upon request. Emmalee went above and beyond when taking care of my girl. I was extremely hesitant to leave her for a few days, but Emmalee came by for over an hour multiple times a day for multiple days in a row and didn’t just feed and walk my pup, but took her to our local dog park and played games with her inside when the weather was bad. While I was away most recently, there was an emergency situation at my apartment building. Emmalee kept me updated and informed in a timely manner while I was unable to be home, and offered extra help if needed. I always felt that my girl was in safe, competent, caring hands. I will definitely be asking Emmalee exclusively for dog sitting/walking/drop-ins in the future, as I have never had a better experience for my crazy, energetic lab than we have had with her. We can’t recommend her enough! Definitely dog-approved 😊”
“Excellent visits! Great communication, sent lots of photos and very interactive with our cats. Flexible with providing care and changing up day to day routine. Absolutely perfect pet sitting experience!”

“Nina was so helpful when we were in a pinch! We came home to two very happy pups - so nice having peace of mind that they were well taken care of when we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again in the future!”

“Briauna has been great with our two cats! She has even been able to get our shy cat out to play, and sends great pictures so we know everyone is having a great time!”

“Haley did a wonderful job looking after my 3 kitties while I was away! Haley followed instructions perfectly and was very responsive throughout my trip! :) I will definitely be booking with Haley again! :)”

“Elijah is the absolute best! He is one of the few people my really shy cat is warmed up too and always does an incredible job of communicating and sending cute pictures!”

“Cat took such great care of our kitties while we were away. She made sure they got lots of play time and sent photos every day. She also administered medicine to one of them with no issue at all. We were truly able to relax on our holiday vacation knowing the cats were in great hands. Would highly recommend her!”

“I had Grant take care of my two kitties. He followed my directions to a tee and sent me updates of how my cats were doing, along with photos. I feel safe and reaasured with Grant taking care of my cats. I will be using his services in the future.”

Eliza did a great job walking Teddy! She was on time and took photos. I can tell she is comfortable with dogs and in tune with their needs. Teddy was excited to walk with her and was a happy dog when he came home! I will definitely be hiring her again for more walks.

Repeat customer of Celeste's and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again, she's thoughtful, reliable and it's obvious she genuinely cares for the animals she watches. My doggie loves her! And knowing my dog is happy and excited to see her gives me complete peace of mind. I’m very grateful for Celeste ;)

We love having Brittany care for Ember and Maggie! She’s always prompt, sends great photo updates, and is incredibly reliable and accommodating whenever we need her. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our girls are in such caring hands. We highly recommend her!

I’m so happy to have had Nina come over to walk and spend time with my dog Heidi while I was out of town for several weeks this summer. Nina is responsive and great at communicating, and it was clear from her thoughtful daily reports and photos that Heidi loved her visits. She took such good care of Heidi and I loved coming home to a happy dog. I hope to have Nina come take care of Heidi the next time I have to leave town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
