About: I would love to come take care of your pet. I have always loved animals and training them has always been second nature to me. All my life I have been raising puppies along with all types of other creatures. I value their life as you would your own and I treat all owners and their belongings including furry children with utmost respect. I have fostered puppies from SFC(Spotsylvania) and BRAG here in Richmond. I am an army veteran who's current pet is a pitsky. She knows commands I have taught her myself. Sit, stay, down, drop, speak, handshake, ect. :-) I also know how to do dog CPR even though I am not certified I had a lab/mastiff mix who had a heart condition. I have a fenced in yard and at my clients home, if they do not have a fenced in yard, I make sure to never allow a pet to escape. Sam is AMAZING!!!!!! I cannot say enough about how lucky we were to find Sam. Unexpectedly, just a few days before a lengthy trip, one of our senior pups suffered a seizure in the middle of the night. We couldn't cancel our trip, but we found ourselves with increased anxiety about leaving the dogs and unable to ask our usual housesitter to potentially administer his new emergency medications. We were immediately drawn to Sam's experience as an ER vet tech, but meeting her surpassed even our wildest hopes: she has such a deep wealth of experience in caring for animals and a real passion for ensuring animals live their best, most comfortable lives. As part of her daily visits, Sam did wellness checks on the dogs and sent us detailed, reassuring updates about how well our dog was adjusting to his new medication. Recognizing their limited mobility, she spent her visits loving on them and doing gentle stretches to help with their joints. We returned to healthy, happy pups, and the peace of mind we were able to find on the trip, especially knowing our medically complex dog was in such great hands, was invaluable.
