“I am very pleased with the service frtom Abyy. I knew all the time what was going on and my typical shy cats trusted Abby immediately. I definitiv will book Abby again.”

“Allison has been very patient with our nervous girl, Norma. Norma relaxed quickly during our meet in greet, thanks to Allison’s calm demeanor, and they already seem to be bonding, which makes my dog mom heart happy! She writes thorough Rover cards and sends multiple pictures each visit!”

“Crystal was an excellent communicator and reliable. I felt confident that our two cats would be safe and sound when we returned from our trip. She even got our mail for us. Thank you!”

“Delilah was very well taken care of by Amanda! She even came out to be brushed and petted … Delilah has very discriminating tastes and doesn’t let just anybody pet her !”

“Indiana was phenomenal to work with. Took excellent care of our cats, was super respectful of our home and helped take care of a few things here and there in our house. Was also very communicative and let us know what was happening with our pets. 10/10 she’ll be our go to pet sitter whenever we are in need and she should be your go to as well!”

“Phyllis was a wonderful and attentive pet sitter for my cat during a recent trip. She is easy to work with, provided lots of updates and photos, and my cat loved her. I would hire or recommend Phyllis to others in a heart beat. Knowing that she was watching my cat made enjoying my vacation much easier. Thank you again Phyllis!”

About: For 30 plus years I had my own dogs from Rottweilers to peekapoos. Always had two so they had a buddy. Well trained where I didn’t need a leash. I babysit my friends dogs here at the house. I’m auntie. They go home spoiled. I travel a lot so, when my dog passed away I did not get another one. I work from home. I am empty nester who just went through a divorce. They can hangout with me all day. Ability to leave on the weekend to come back as required. Full fenced in yard. Traditional metal fence. With only two neighbors who have no animals. Quite neighborhood with a place to walk them around ponds.
“We absolutely love how Tiffany takes great care of our little ones! She always updates us with fun & loving pictures. She is also very quick to respond with any questions or concerns & always on time!”

“Lashell was great—prompt and excellent with communication. When Tut insisted on a short walk in the neighborhood, she was accommodating which was most appreciated. Will work with her again!”

“Amazing is an understatement! My two cats have grown so comfortable with Amanda (and so quickly!); she is so good with them. She did an incredible, I mean truly unbelievable, job socializing with my people-averse, scaredy-cat kitten to the point where, instead of hiding, she hears Amanda and comes out to play. Even my senior baby boy who is grumpy in my absence is less moody when Amanda visits. On top of all of that, Amanda is a total professional in every aspect; she’s an excellent and active communicator, shows immense mindfulness in the execution of her work, and is so respectful when in my home. I’m sincerely so grateful for her!”

About: I've been dog sitting since covid; things have changed but not the love for animals. Since my start I've dog sat for a wide varity of dogs. Puppies, oldies, big, small. Some requiring a lot of attention to help distract them, some that just sit by the door waiting for their pawrents to come home. From medications to special diets, specific schedules and give attention if you have the extra time. I will treat your dog as my own! Something you can count on is they will be loved and well taken care of. Pet care is my top priority. Making sure they are fed on time and they get plenty of play time and walks while you are gone. I do currently work but my schedule is constantly changing so I have a lot of freedom to change it as needed. I unfortunately can't accept pets into my home as I don't currently live alone. But I'm more than willing to stay over whenever you need me to.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chester
We had a great experience with Jessica and will definitely use her anytime we need a cat sitter. We were away for 5 days and she took excellent care of our 8 cats (including two 4 month old kittens). Jessica was very communicative and kept us informed if anything happened. After every visit, she sent photos of each cat and gave a summary of how the visit went. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about our babies and was attentive to their individual needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
