“This my first time using the app and I love it. My dog has separation anxiety from and my husband. She was super patient with my dog creed. Have him space to warm up to her. Best experience! Responded quickly to my check in messages gave great updates! Definitely recommend 10/10”

“Jessica has dropped by on my pupsters on two separate occasions, and I would trust her anytime I need some help. She always provides adorable updates and is communicative. The pups have a great time with her. I will book Jessica everytime if she's available!”

“Well, well, didn’t we just find the perfect lover of dogs, even the crazy and energetic ones like ours? Amanda was perfect with our crew, sending pictures and updates and making sure they always had fun and got snuggles while we were away. I think the dogs are ready for us to head out of town again so that Miss Amanda will come back to play! (And we will be soon, boys!)”

“Darnell is the absolute best. Has been great with my cat and sends tons of photos, including pictures of litter, food, and water so you feel extra reassured your pet is well taken care of.”

“Allison did an amazing job sitting for my cat. I’m expressed with how professional and thoughtful she was throughout the entire process. Would definitely recommend and book with her again!”

“Hana is amazing! She’s so flexible and understanding when it comes to schedules and demands of each animal in the home. She truly cares about our animals (she will leave our tv on for our dog so she isn’t lonely) and does enrichment treats without us even asking her to. I trust her with our babies 100%”

“Abby did drop-in visits for our cat while we were away for a week and she was wonderful! She was so friendly from when we first met her, kept us updated, and took great care of our cat. Thank you Abby!!”

“Phyllis works well with my dog even though she can be a little sassy. I appreciate her patience and making sure my dog is taken care of. I highly recommend her.”

“Leslie did an amazing job with our 3 huskies- from meet and greet to all the picture updates she gave us peace of mind and gave our pups all the love! Would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“I traveled for a full week and needed someone I could trust to take care of Cat. I've booked Emily before and she is attentive, communicative, and overall a great sitter. Highly recommend!!!”

“Rebecca cared for our three cats for about a week and a half, doing drop ins every other day. She was kind and communicative from start to finish, and went above and beyond to keep us and our kitties happy including lots of playtime, topping off food and water, and even watering a plant for us and bringing packages inside. Would book her again for future travel!”

About: What sets me apart is my calm, low-stress home where I host max 2 compatible dogs at once. Perfect for anxious, selective, or reactive pups who need peace over chaos. I also offer solo-stay pricing for dogs who need to block my second spot. My experience shines with senior dogs (gentle mobility support, meds) and high-energy mediums (structured play without overwhelming them). I work from home so I'm very flexible. I'm available during the day for walks/drop-ins/daycare, evenings/weekends for boarding. Dogs are family here; my routine revolves around their comfort. I don’t have any pets of my own currently. I have a nice size fenced yard and I love taking pups on long walks in my neighborhood or at the local dog park if possible. You can also book my backyard on Sniffspot!
“We absolutely love how Tiffany takes great care of our little ones! She always updates us with fun & loving pictures. She is also very quick to respond with any questions or concerns & always on time!”

Hana is amazing! She’s so flexible and understanding when it comes to schedules and demands of each animal in the home. She truly cares about our animals (she will leave our tv on for our dog so she isn’t lonely) and does enrichment treats without us even asking her to. I trust her with our babies 100%

We had a great experience with Jessica and will definitely use her anytime we need a cat sitter. We were away for 5 days and she took excellent care of our 8 cats (including two 4 month old kittens). Jessica was very communicative and kept us informed if anything happened. After every visit, she sent photos of each cat and gave a summary of how the visit went. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about our babies and was attentive to their individual needs.

I HIGHLY recommend booking with Emily, she was a god-sent! Emily quickly replied to my request; was very thorough and mindful when discussing Luna's needs; responded within a timely manner AND follows through with her "Personalized Pet Companionship" motto. Not only was this my first time using Rover, it was my first time leaving my fur-baby behind and Emily soothed my nerves and anxiety every step of the way. With every visit I received multiple photo updates and a full report of the visit- food & water intake, play time, cuddle time, the full works, etc. And when little things needed to be added to the visit or Luna's routine, Emily did not hesitate to provide. I would definitely rebook with Emily whenever a cat-sitter is needed again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
