“Vitaliy is the most thoughtful pet caregiver we’ve ever worked with. He was able to come care for our kitties on short notice and we are very grateful. He was very thorough with their care, even with things we forgot to mention, and is excellent at communicating. Next time we need someone to take care of our cats, we hope he will be available because we had nothing but peace of mind knowing our kitties were being taken care of by Vitaliy.”

“The best, as always! I had accidentally unplugged my kitty's automatic feeder after moving it and Kristi caught it + re-programmed it during her drop-in. Thank you sooo much!”

About: Hi! I’m Emily — a dependable and caring animal lover based in Chicago. I’ve had medium to large dogs my whole life, so I’m very comfortable handling different energy levels, personalities, and needs. I also volunteer at PAWS Chicago, where I spend time caring for and working with dogs of different temperaments. This has given me experience reading dog behavior and helping them feel safe and comfortable in new environments. I currently don’t have a dog of my own at home, which allows me to give my full attention to the pets I’m caring for and be flexible with scheduling. My family dog Bella likes to come for a visit here and there for a few days in a row. She will not be with on our walks or home visits. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I’m happy to adjust to your dog’s routine, energy level, and personality. Whether your dog needs a long walk, playtime, or just some company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very responsive, detail-oriented, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet like they’re my own and aim to make the experience stress-free for both you and your dog. Feel free to reach out with any questions — I’d love to meet you and your pup! I work in education so during the school year Monday-Friday I am free after about 4pm. I open on the weekends. During June-August I have a free schedule I provide a safe, calm, and attentive environment whether I’m in your home or out on walks. I always follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walking, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m experienced with medium to large dogs and comfortable handling different energy levels and personalities. I prioritize safety on walks by using secure leashing and staying aware of surroundings, and I always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m also very communicative and will send regular updates and photos so you feel confident while you’re away.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid, i had a Yorkshire Terrier, and a Shitzu. I’ve been relied upon by family to feed, walk and bathe their dogs when they’re out of town. I’m currently working full time, giving me plenty of extra time in the day to take care of doggies and kitties around town. Send me a message, and I'll respond a promptly as possible. I will treat your fur baby as I treat my own. I’ll make sure they have water, play with them, cuddle, and I'll make sure they get their steps in for the day.
“Continues to be my favorite sitter. Super reliable and communicative. David clearly cares about all animals and totally understands a person’s love for their pets and always sends detailed updates! Will definitely be contacting David again!”

“I was a bit nervous leaving Pili for the first time, especially because I was going to be gone for a few days. Lana met Pili and they became friends right away, she is caring and updated me of their playtime. I feel more comfortable with upcoming trips because I know that my kitty 🐈⬛ will be well taken care of.”

“Lauren is the best pet sitter of them all! She took such good care of my dogs in her home. They were so happy! She took them on walks and let them sleep with her at night and easily managed their very different personalities. She also drove to my house to stop in on my cat to make sure she wasn’t lonely. I highly recommend her as a sitter and would definitely use her again! ? ? ?”

“Ericka helped us while we were on vacation by checking on our cat, making sure she had fresh food/water and a clean litter box. She sent us pictures of our kitty and gave us updates at every check-in. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Vitaliia has done an excellent job caring for our shy dog, letting him go at his own pace and making him feel comfortable. She has been great at communicating with us. Very happy to have her as a weekly friend for him to hang with! Thank you, Vitaliia!!”

“1st time away from my kids for more than two nights & also this was my 1st time using Rover. Anxiety is running super high but everything went off without a hitch. Nicole was extremely professional an took great care of my kids! I will be using Rover & hoping that I can book Nicole again.”

About: I am a highly experienced and passionate caretaker for furry friends. With 3 dogs and 1 cat of my own, I have a lifetime of experience in taking care of animals. I am particularly knowledgeable in geriatric care and puppy training, ensuring that animals of all ages receive the specialized care and attention they need. Pet care is essential in my household and is a top priority for my daily routine to ensure my fur-babies are well-fed, nurtured, happy, and healthy! At the moment, I have 3 dogs (Mini Aussie, Geriatric Chihuahua, and a Geriatric Lab) with one orange cat! I love animals naturally and enjoy spending time energetically with animals and catering to their needs.
About: I’ve spent the last 11 years caring for my elderly Chow Chow, and during that time I’ve also watched lots of other dogs, including two golden retrievers. I’m experienced with everything from playful pups to seniors who need gentler care. I also volunteer at local shelters walking dogs big and small, which has taught me how to build trust quickly and handle every kind of temperament. I’m calm, patient, and I always make sure each dog feels safe, loved, and full of treats. 😘 I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on all weekdays and some weekends, just ask! When I’m caring for a dog in their home, my goal is to make sure they feel completely safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible with the same feeding times, walks, and favorite spots. I’ll make sure that everything feels familiar and stress-free. I’ve spent over a decade caring for my senior Chow Chow, so I’m especially patient and gentle with older dogs or those who need a little extra attention. I’ve also watched younger, energetic pups like golden retrievers and volunteer regularly at shelters, so I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I always make sure pets get the right mix of exercise, play, and calm time. I send photo updates and messages regularly so you can relax knowing they’re happy and in good hands. Your home will be left just as you found it — clean, secure, and filled with tail wags.
“Jade was quick to respond to my request for sitting and overall had great communication and detailed check-ins. My very shy and hesitant kitty loved her too. Overall a great experience and will be booking again!”

About: I have grown up around dogs, more specifically, small breeds. That is where most of my experience is in. I can administer some medications, put leashes/harnesses on, and put them in a crate if needed. I love getting to play with dogs and sitting with them while giving them plenty of love. I will treat them as my own pet, so you do not have to worry about them while you are away. I am currently in collage and am looking for something to do over the summer. Once this semester is over, I will be available to drop in anytime of the week during the day. I would love to fill this summer with meeting some amazing pets! I will be focused more on being at the client's home so I will follow all instructions left for me. I can help to give some medications as needed. I will make sure their litter boxes are emptied, refill water, and feed them on time. One thing I love doing is sending pictures to the owner that way they know their pet is in good hands!
About: I’ve been caring for animal friends since I was young! I grew up on a farm, where we cared for cats, dogs, chickens, and goats. Moving to the suburbs, and now, the city, my desire to care for pets has persisted, as I continue to extend myself to my school and church community! I’ve since cared for their dogs and cats for as long as 3 weeks at a time. I’m currently working remotely during the summer months, so I am completely flexible for any bookings. This will also allow me to attend to pets who may need extra or more frequent attention and care. I have extra space in the home to set up play/beds/anything your pet needs to feel comfortable. I also have a fenced dog park and live in a walkable, private neighborhood for regular walking, and a large dog park for play and socializing with other dogs.
About: I've always had a sweet spot for pets. I took care of and trained my childhood dog for 6 years, and now I'm doing the same for my current dog. I've taken care of my friends' dogs when they are away. In addition, I have been training my own dog with a professional trainer, which allowed me to better understand and manage dogs during walks and plays in the park. I'm a graduate student that always takes time to walk my dog. During weekends, I mostly work from home or have more time to walk around the neighborhood and go to the parks. I have harnesses if your dog needs them for a more comfortable walk. My dog is really friendly and adapts to the energy level of other dogs, to make them feel comfortable and also helps them to socialize.
Chicago dog parents share their Rover experiences
Nikki's service was exceptional when taking care of my beagle. She communicates very clearly, is punctual, and provides great photos of my pup on the walk. Nikki assisted me for 3 days coming by twice a day to feed my pup and take him for a walk. I definitely recommend her services and I will be requesting her again when the need arises. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hallie was friendly and fantastic as a drop in sitter! She went above and beyond and took "Lady" on long walks, even though we said walks were optional and ensuring that pee pads were washed and dried! "Lady" was not anxious when we returned home after a few days and that certainly speaks to her feeling well loved in our absence. Lots of photos from each visit were greatly appreciated. We will certainly be contacting Hallie again!

Sylvia was very friendly and responsible with my mini dachshund, Mila. She took great care of her, communicated promptly, and maintained such a positive attitude throughout. I felt completely at ease knowing Mila was in good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her!

Kass takes amazing care of our two small dogs during the week while my wife and I are both working in the office! We appreciate her attention to our dogs and helping out while we were both out of country. We highly recommend Kass for your dog care needs and continue to work with her regularly.
