I've taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I grew up with Huskies and was responsible for feeding and walking them. In addition, I helped neighbors when they were away or just needed help taking care of their dogs. As an adult I've had two English Springer Spaniels. Maggie was liver and white and lived for just over 10 years and she was my one with separation anxiety. Josie who was black and white was my old soul from the day we got her home. We lost her a couple years ago at almost 13. My daughter also has a pup with epilepsy and has issues with fear based reactivity - which I am familiar with as well. He struggles sometimes and can be reactive to other animals and overstimulated in certain situations. So, keeping him close, being very aware on walks is important. I am experienced in walking, feeding and giving meds. I am also comfortable with elderly dog care given our Josie ended up living with back and hip issues as well as some vision loss near the end. I've also taken classes and volunteered at Anti-Cruetly here in Chicago and spent time at adoption events. Since I no longer have a dog of my own I decided I would enjoy getting my puppy dog fix loving on other peoples animals in their absence.
