“Avery took care of Mortimer. A dog that is stand offish… he took to Avery immediately!! I couldn’t be any happier and thrilled that we and Mo have a Rover friend we trust so much!!!”

“Angela is a supersitter! She was so kind and caring with our dogs and really went the extra mile, throwing frisbee to our Aussie and loving on our cavapoo! She is a genuine animal liver who treats your pets like her own! We will definitely rebook. Thanks, Angela!”

“Anna was absolutely amazing!! My dog Rango struggles with anxiety and she made him feel extremely comfortable and loved. She made sure to keep me in the loop as the day progressed and informed me of any issues or updates on his behavior. Amazing experience and I will definitely be bringing Rango back for all of my out of town trips that he can’t attend. Thank you so much. I highly recommend her services.”

“Karie was amazing! My dog has separation anxiety, and after just moving to TN, she made sure my dog was happy and comfortable. Frequent updates and extremely responsive.”

“We couldn't be any happier that we chose Christina and Brent to watch J. Walker. This was our first trip not taking him with us. Christina kept in touch over the stay. She even sent photos. J. Walker had so much fun playing with the other dogs. There is no doubt in our minds that we will take J.W. back. We trust Christina completely with our fur baby.”
About: Monday through Friday I work a busy job and so I've never gotten a dog of my own. I miss dogs. And I love to walk. It is normal for me to cover 10+ miles per week on foot. I'd like an occasional four-legged walking companion. I used to take neighbors dogs on frequent walks and even trips to parks and libraries. One dog I leash trained and taught to sit. I work a busy job Monday - Friday where I often work a touch of overtime. I have one cat in residence - she is new-to-me so I can't impress you (yet) with her walks, hikes, and commands. She is indoor only, by her preference, spayed, and has a vet with all health screenings. I'd like to spend more time with your lovely fur babies. My best time to visit is after work - 5pm. I only accept animals in a very tight radius to me. Home visits: Your pet darlings will have my focus. I only feed treats that you provide - due to dietary discretions. Boarding: I live in a rowhome/townhome community. There is a shared fenced dog area. My home has *many* stairs and no gates for those stairs (seniors and puppies take note).
“I was very impressed with how well Terry took care of Buster. You could tell she really loves animals. He loved being with her! She took him for walks and spent a lot of time with him on her back porch. She asked lots of questions to ensure Buster was getting everything he needed. She continually sent me little messages about their day and adorable photos. I will definitely use her as a sitter again. Thank you so much Terry!”

“Tiffany is a fantastic sitter. Highly recommend. She is thoughtful and makes sure my dog is well taken care of while he stays with her. She also sends regular updates so that is also very much appreciated. DJ is always happy to stay with Tiffany!”
“Alora was super great! My little old man had such a blast and is now pleasantly tired! She did well keeping me updated with lots of pictures! 10/10 Will be booking with her again!”

“Alannah and Zach were great with Ellie! They were very accommodating with her anxiety. Communication was good. We feel like she was well cared for and we will definitely book again”

“Kailin did a great job watching my dog while I was away for the weekend! She offers a variety of services like boarding and house visits, and I would highly recommend her to other pet owners!”

“Jonathan took excellent care of my dog. It was his first time being boarded since I adopted him and he was very nervous. Jonathan waited until he was ready to interact and earned his trust. He bathed him. He sent pictures to let me know he was OK. I will definitely use Jonathan to board Little Man the next time I have to travel.”

“Di'Ara took very amazing care of my baby boy Baxter. He was snuggling with her by day 1! She made sure to send lots of content and I could tell her had a blast! Will be booking with her again in the future!”

“Dominique and her family welcomed our two dogs with open and loving arms. The dogs clearly had a great time. Great communication. Lots of photos and lots of walks. We really appreciate it!”

“Katie rocks! She took the best care of our two fur babies, one senior and one rambunctious two year old. She has a great set up with a big fenced in yard, and a friendly pup of her own who played so well with both of our dogs who have opposite play styles. We highly recommend her, and would love to book with her again!”

“Nancy and her family were incredible sitters for our dog Mango. Right after we dropped her off, Nancy told me that she worked to familiarize Mango with the new place by walking her around the parameter of the home. I felt that was very thoughtful! She was very communicative throughout the stay. I'd give 10 stars if I could!”

Brandi is a great sitter! She takes great care of my pup and sends regular updates, including super cute photos. My pup had some special needs with his paws and Brandi was very attentive. My pup also gets along great with the rest of Brandi’s family and I know he feels comfortable in her home.

Alannah was amazing! She sent a nightly recap of the day with amazing pictures. She and her partner were such a great team, especially since Cooper was having a bad ear infection. They administered the meds with such patience, especially since my dog can be reactive around his face and ears. Alannah kept trying different techniques until she find a method that worked. She really went the extra mile, and I deeply appreciate her care and kindness with my pup. I highly recommend her!

Tatiana made this trip so easy for us, I felt so at ease leaving our dog with her. She was very thorough and made sure dogs were comfortable with each other. And Livvy did great and had a blast with her pup friends! Would totally ask Tatiana again if we come back to Chatt!

Thank you so very much for welcoming our Wiley and making him feel right at home. This was a first Rover experience for us all and Wiley at 9+ years of age had never been with anyone other than family. With photos and updates they showed that Wiley had settled in comfortably as part of their pack (along with Maggie). He was even permitted to sleep in bed with them just like at home with Mom and Dad. So thankful we found you!

Maggie suggested a meet and greet - our golden doodle, Daisy, with her golden doodle, Enzo. It went well, Daisy was a little testy due to the attention but very shortly both calmed down. I could tell that Maggie was special after talking with her - she truly has her "guest" doggies happiness in mind. She has a fenced back yard, takes walks in the neighborhood with them, and sends photos. We were very happy with Maggie, and beautiful Enzo, and will use them again in the future.
Tamia is a treasure! She took care of my two elderly mini dachshund boys for 5 nights, and they thrived with her and her little son. She is an awesome person, and I truly feel that I have found a friend. We could not have hired a better pet sitter, and I will definitely use her again. I recommend her without reservation.
Victoria was so great! She kept me informed of Squirrel’s happenings and also made sure that he was comfortable for his whole stay at her place. She really went above and beyond, and I am so grateful we had her to watch him over the holidays. Thanks, Victoria!!

Irma was an absolute lifesaver for us while we were in town for a wedding! Our schedule was chaotic, but she was incredibly flexible and accommodating with every request and change. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was happy and well-cared for. If you need a trustworthy and easygoing sitter, Irma is the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
