“Karie was wonderful! Communicative via messages and sending photos, took my dog on multiple walks a day, and in general cared for him as one of her own. Highly recommend!”

“Excellent communication, comfortable, clean, and safe space! Destiny is exactly who we were looking for for our high-energy terrier. She was already familiar with the training tools and techniques we got from his trainers, and understood his breed characteristics & needs. She introduced him to her own pets intentionally, and by the time we picked him up, he was clearly comfortable and happy with her. So pleased to have someone knowledgeable who I can trust with our VERY terrier terrier.”

“My nervous puppy warmed up to Megan and her husband quickly. I could tell immediately it was going to be a good fit! Megan was so nice and thorough and sent multiple pictures putting me at ease that my baby was having a great, safe time! Highly recommend!”

“Best sitters ever! They always take amazing care of my Chloe girl and they are always flexible and willing to accommodate my crazy schedule and last minute changes! I appreciate them so much!!”

“Nancy and Stan continue to be our go to because they’re responsive, keep us updated, and they’re so accommodating with our one high needs dog. Highly recommend!”

“Malia was fantastic! She sent pictures everyday of Wookie. He had a blast playing with other dogs and running in their yard. He was happy and worn out when we picked him up. Will definitely use them again.”

“Tiffany was so sweet and helpful with my little dog Louis. She sent lots of pictures and even gave him a bath when he got dirty. I can tell he was having a great time with her and her little dog. I would definitely let Louis stay with her any time I'm out of town.”

“Alannah is the best sitter we have had. Our pup is a rescue and is uncomfortable in some situations. Alannah makes accommodations for Ellie, and we always feel comfortable leaving her.”

“Anna was absolutely amazing!! My dog Rango struggles with anxiety and she made him feel extremely comfortable and loved. She made sure to keep me in the loop as the day progressed and informed me of any issues or updates on his behavior. Amazing experience and I will definitely be bringing Rango back for all of my out of town trips that he can’t attend. Thank you so much. I highly recommend her services.”

“Excellent experience. Kristen communicated and sent pictures throughout our dogs stay. I don’t think our dog wanted to leave and come home ?. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have been a dog sitter for senior pets, as well as puppies. I'm familiar with training practices for puppies, and an adequate diet based on dog size needed to sustain their well-being. I love being active and can sustain the energy to keep your furry baby moving. I am available in the mornings and early afternoons to check in and care for pets. I can also board for occasional overnight stays, while you are out of town or away on vacation. In the client's home, I maintain boundaries of where the owner wants the pet to roam. I will clean up any messes or dirt the animal gets into, and will assure to care for your pet as I would my own.
“Jonathan took excellent care of my dog. It was his first time being boarded since I adopted him and he was very nervous. Jonathan waited until he was ready to interact and earned his trust. He bathed him. He sent pictures to let me know he was OK. I will definitely use Jonathan to board Little Man the next time I have to travel.”

“Kailin did a great job watching my dog while I was away for the weekend! She offers a variety of services like boarding and house visits, and I would highly recommend her to other pet owners!”

“My dog had such a good stay! I really appreciated the photo updates and little check‑ins — it made being away so much easier. Kaylyn was also very flexible with my drop‑off and pick‑up schedule, which helped a lot. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she boards.”

“Tatiana was great at proving multiple updates with pictures & video of her taking Athena out to play frisbee & ball…this is very much appreciated when I’m traveling out of town so I loved the updates. I also really liked that Athena wasn’t rushing to get in my truck & get home as she so often did at a large pet boarding place. That is very telling, we will be using Tatiana again mect time I have to go out of town as I’m very pleased with everything.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
