“Julie was the best! I wasn't sure how our dog would be with a stranger in a strange location because she is a very skittish rescue. Our dog accepted Julie right away and was very comfortable and made herself right at home. Julie sent pictures every day and I'm not sure our dog even missed us! We definitely will use Julie again if we need her!”

“If there was a way to leave 10 STARS I would. Kaylyn was great with my toy poodle. I got pictures and videos of my dog enjoying her days playing, relaxing on the couch, and having a lazy day sunning. Ginger was just as comfortable and happy with her as she is at home. I had no worries or concerns and was able to enjoy my vacation. I will be using Kaylyn again, it’s home away from home. Thank you!”

“Our Harley had the best vacation with Christina, her family and canine friends! We were gone for 5 days visiting our son and daughter- in- law and were happy for an alternative to regular boarding. Christina was about an hour away from our own home and on our way to where our kids live. She had 5 stars and 277 shining reviews. When we took Harley, Christina encouraged us to spend time getting to know the environment where Harley would spend her time. We spent 45 minutes and felt very comfortable when we left. While we were gone, we received photos everyday of Harley enjoying her vacation with a family that gave her the love and attention she deserved with other dogs also on vacation. The communication was exceptional, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you, Christina!! Harley will most definitely be back!!”

“Stephanie and crew watched my 2 dogs for 2 weeks while I was handling a family emergency. I had to extend their stay once and she was incredibly flexible and even bought them more dog food so that they could stay longer. She sent pictures and videos every day. They had a ton of fun with her. I would rebook in a heartbeat.”

“Kayley did an amazing job caring for my Dog. She was very responsive and kept me posted on how Bear was doing throughout his stay. Highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to take care of your dog!”

“Alora took great care of our baby and always kept us up to date with pictures. I think she could tell we were hesitant at first because we do not usually leave our dog, but she was super sweet and kept us in the loop and that really made us feel like we made a great choice! We would definitely use her services again 😊”

“We just moved to the area and needed someone to watch our sweet pup. Denita scheduled a quick meet and greet. She was great and we really appreciate her taking care of our pup and sending us pictures along the way, thank you!”

About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service! I currently have two dogs that I watch for my mother. When I am in town, this looks like walks every afternoon and evening, frequent play time, and feedings. I love to make sure they are happy- whether that’s running around outside, long play time, some chill TLC, or even a few extra treats ;)
“Avery took care of Mortimer. A dog that is stand offish… he took to Avery immediately!! I couldn’t be any happier and thrilled that we and Mo have a Rover friend we trust so much!!!”

“Major, our Shih Tzu, needs a little extra TLC. So we are very happy that Rachel was available to take care of him for our vacation. She made sure he got all the attention an older dog needs. She sent daily pictures and updates and gave Major his special diet and lots of love.”

“Echo is the best! Once again my dog had a wonderful stay with her family. This time we forgot to bring her dog food and Echo offered to give her dog food to our dog so we didn't have to drive back home to go get it. So nice! We are grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter for our dog. I highly recommend her!”

“Emily and Samuel were really great with my puppy! I was so nervous to leave her but she had a great time and I was very thankful to receive updates. I will definitely use them again.”

“Sara is the best! I recently left my sweet boy Leo with Sara while I traveled across the country for over a week. Due to flight delays and massive storm my trip was extended and I was delayed getting home. Sara gladly kept Leo longer and made sure I received updates and photos while I was away and missing my pup. I’m so grateful for Sara and the amazing care and love she provided to Leo while I was away. Sara is our #1 go-to anytime Leo needs to be cared for in my absence in the future. Thank you, Sara!”

“Justin took great care of Bruno when he stayed for the week! They had so many adventures and I was updated with pics along the way. I’m so glad to have found Justin!”

“Karie was wonderful! Communicative via messages and sending photos, took my dog on multiple walks a day, and in general cared for him as one of her own. Highly recommend!”

“Jonathan kept my dog really well. We went away for 20 days, and I always felt confident that Watson was well looked after. When I picked my dog up he couldn't believe I still existed. He'd completely adjusted to his new life;) We'll happily use Jonathan again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.”

“First overnight visit with Malia for my 2 boys. They seem to have had a great time. Malia was very responsive to my messages and it is obvious she is knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviors. She was sweet and took the time to listen to all my information and feeding instructions regarding my 2 picky eaters. When I picked them up, they were both happy and content. It was obvious they were well cared for.”

“Beth was amazing! She was very communicative and kept us updated the entire time, sending so many pictures of our dogs which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
