“Stephanie Was wonderful. I loved all the pictures she sent and My Winston was having a blast. I would definitely book with Stephanie again and highly recommend her. My Winston was so worn out when he got home which means he had a blast.”

“Sara is the best! I recently left my sweet boy Leo with Sara while I traveled across the country for over a week. Due to flight delays and massive storm my trip was extended and I was delayed getting home. Sara gladly kept Leo longer and made sure I received updates and photos while I was away and missing my pup. I’m so grateful for Sara and the amazing care and love she provided to Leo while I was away. Sara is our #1 go-to anytime Leo needs to be cared for in my absence in the future. Thank you, Sara!”

“Justin is great and brought our pup home exhausted, again! He gives us positive feedback and tells us how our dog made friends with the other dogs he was caring for. And he sends pics of all the things they’re doing/places they’re going. Our dog really loves the hikes Justin takes him on!”

“Rachel is a great sitter. I left my pup with her on two occasions - once for a weekend and another for an 8 day trip. She did an amazing job with her and I could tell my dog had a great time. She sends daily updates and photos which is greatly appreciated. More importantly Rachel is super understanding and was able to be flexible with me when my return flight was delayed and cancelled. I will definitely keep using her as my sitter anytime we go out of town - 10/10 would recommend!”

“Sonja and Yolanda were fantastic for the overnight boarding I needed for Kai. They were flexible with drop off and pick up, sent me pictures regularly and I could tell that Kai enjoyed his time with them! Trusting new people with your pets can always be scary but they were understanding, kind, and accommodating. I would highly recommend using them, and plan to again! Thank you so much!”

“Karie was wonderful! Communicative via messages and sending photos, took my dog on multiple walks a day, and in general cared for him as one of her own. Highly recommend!”

“Dominique and her family welcomed our two dogs with open and loving arms. The dogs clearly had a great time. Great communication. Lots of photos and lots of walks. We really appreciate it!”

“Jessica is an amazing person and has great energy - I had no concerns about her taking care of my pup in her own home for a few days. From the pictures Jessica sent and the long looks at the door once my dog was home, it looks like it was a blast and she's excited to stay with Jessica again in the future. Thank you, Jessica!”

“Avery took care of Mortimer. A dog that is stand offish… he took to Avery immediately!! I couldn’t be any happier and thrilled that we and Mo have a Rover friend we trust so much!!!”

“Anna was absolutely amazing!! My dog Rango struggles with anxiety and she made him feel extremely comfortable and loved. She made sure to keep me in the loop as the day progressed and informed me of any issues or updates on his behavior. Amazing experience and I will definitely be bringing Rango back for all of my out of town trips that he can’t attend. Thank you so much. I highly recommend her services.”

“Taylor [& her husband] were amazing! They took such great care of my dog / 2-year-old puppy! And their dog Maggie was lovely too. I know Archie had a fabulous time as after I picked him up in the morning - he literally napped all day! I will definitely have Archie stay with them again!”

About: I have had my own pets for my entire adult life and part of my childhood. I have experience maintaining schedules and providing companionship for various breeds and personalities. Our active family loves caring for pets in a responsible, dependable way. I work from home and have dogs of my own. I walk or run every day, and the dogs don't want or need as much exercise as me, so they take turns coming along. We can easily add a dog to our pack, or I can make frequent visits to your place and/or stick around your place. I can be flexible with my schedule and my place of work to make schedules make sense. Every pet is unique, so I take the time to follow each family's routine as closely as possible. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I am happy to provide walks, potty breaks, enrichment, and opportunities to burn off energy. When caring for pets in your home, I treat it with the same respect I would my own. I keep everything clean and secure, and send regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

“Tiffany was so sweet and helpful with my little dog Louis. She sent lots of pictures and even gave him a bath when he got dirty. I can tell he was having a great time with her and her little dog. I would definitely let Louis stay with her any time I'm out of town.”

“Maddison was awesome! Snoopy loved her and she took awesome care of him. She kept me updated and as this was our first time apart, she made sure me and snoopy both were comfortable. I will definitely use her as my repeat sitter! Thank you for everything Maddison!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
