“Justin was able to take Eleanor last minute and even squeezed in a drop in visit to make sure she was comfortable with him before her stay. She can take a minute to warm up to new people but he quickly put her at ease. He was also great with communication throughout the weekend. We came home to a very happy and tuckered out dog!”

“Megan and Chris were a fabulous dog-sitting duo right from the beginning, with a prompt reply and super easy communication. They thoughtfully offered to answer any questions I had before booking. I received lots of reassuring photos, text updates, and even a couple videos while I was away from my four-legged baby. Tessa came home a bit worn out after a long weekend of playing with other dogs and exploring the fenced yard at M&C’s place.”

“Finn seemed to enjoy playing in their large fenced yard. I think he got along well with their dog and another guest dog. He seemed happy when we picked him up. I never saw George, but his mother was very nice.”

“This was our first time using Christina and her family and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. They treated our dogs like they were at home and were so good to them.”

“Great job all around!!! Sent us pictures and videos every day. Was patient working with our high anxiety pup. Has a lot of space that the dogs really enjoyed. Will re-book in future.”

“Tish is amazing! She took my two dogs when I had to leave town at the last minute. She was so kind and made sure they felt right at home. We were updated frequently with photos and videos which was much appreciated. The drop off and pick up were so easy and I can’t wait to use her again! Thank you Tish!”

“Alora took great care of our baby and always kept us up to date with pictures. I think she could tell we were hesitant at first because we do not usually leave our dog, but she was super sweet and kept us in the loop and that really made us feel like we made a great choice! We would definitely use her services again 😊”

“Excellent communication, comfortable, clean, and safe space! Destiny is exactly who we were looking for for our high-energy terrier. She was already familiar with the training tools and techniques we got from his trainers, and understood his breed characteristics & needs. She introduced him to her own pets intentionally, and by the time we picked him up, he was clearly comfortable and happy with her. So pleased to have someone knowledgeable who I can trust with our VERY terrier terrier.”

“Andrew did a great job with my pup. Great communication and I very much appreciated his flexibility. This was a vacation stay and if I’m in the area again, I would certainly work with him again.”

“Avery took care of Mortimer. A dog that is stand offish… he took to Avery immediately!! I couldn’t be any happier and thrilled that we and Mo have a Rover friend we trust so much!!!”

“Tiffany was so sweet and helpful with my little dog Louis. She sent lots of pictures and even gave him a bath when he got dirty. I can tell he was having a great time with her and her little dog. I would definitely let Louis stay with her any time I'm out of town.”

“Thanks to Sonja and Yolanda. They’re extremely fast to reply, and I enjoyed all of the pictures they sent from Sokka’s time with them. I can tell they paid a lot of attention and put lots of care into my boy. They dealt well with the issues HE caused, and cared for him as if they were one of his own. I’m taking all of the advice you gave me into account. Thanks again!”

“Joseph was very responsive and our pups came back happy which is always a good sign. We even have a 20 week old puppy and he did great with them. I would recommend him to anyone.”

About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service! I currently have two dogs that I watch for my mother. When I am in town, this looks like walks every afternoon and evening, frequent play time, and feedings. I love to make sure they are happy- whether that’s running around outside, long play time, some chill TLC, or even a few extra treats ;)
“Taylor [& her husband] were amazing! They took such great care of my dog / 2-year-old puppy! And their dog Maggie was lovely too. I know Archie had a fabulous time as after I picked him up in the morning - he literally napped all day! I will definitely have Archie stay with them again!”

“Chad was great with Scout. We had her board Scout at our house while we were on vacation. She sent pictures and updates to let us know how he was doing. We returned to find a clean house and a happy pup.”

“Staysha is awesome! She is friendly, communicative and flexible. BB was well taken care of and we think a little sad to leave. Staysha sends tons of pictures and updates. Can’t recommend her enough!”

She was super awesome and flexible with us! I was needing some flexibility due to any time ready to give birth and having my doggies ready to be dropped off. She even offers baths services so my fur buddies came back clean!! She even sent pics of them as an update ! They came back happy and fedd! Will book w her again for future vacation trips etc💓💓

Ziggy had a great time with Katlyn and her dog moonpie! I felt so comfortable leaving him there, and she was so great with him, especially since he was recently adopted and is still learning and adapting to all the changes, but she was so sweet and helpful with that! I loved that she was there with him all the time since he prefers that. I will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
