“James did a great job caring for our cat Oliver while we weee out of town. He is great at communicating everyday and keeping you informed. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with James again when needed.”

“Karie has been great this past week and I know she will continue that going forward. Since losing my wife last month, my life has been in shambles. I needed to go back to work and could not leave Maggie in the house all day, it wouldn’t be fair to her. And then I found Karie, she is doing a fantastic job making sure that my girl gets to go outside and take care of business and get some much needed exercise. I will continue to have Karie drop in to take care of my girls as long as she is available and I need the help. Hopefully Lucy will begin to come out of hiding and show herself more to Karie.”

“We are so appreciative of Tori! Always provided a thorough, detailed report on the animals, and really cared for them as though they were her own. Additionally, we had an emergency come up during our trip, and she was totally willing to extend her service for a couple of days, which was a huge relief! I cannot recommend Tori enough!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs in a professional capacity for over a decade, including managing structured environments where consistency and temperament mattered. That experience shapes how I approach in-home care today: calm, observant, and steady. I adapt well to each home’s environment. Every household has its own rhythm, and I focus on maintaining that rhythm rather than disrupting it. I respect property, keep to designated shared spaces, and treat each home responsibly while I’m there. With animals, I prioritize patience and regulation. Dogs often mirror calm, consistent energy, and I remain relaxed and steady in my interactions. Whether maintaining feeding schedules, reinforcing expectations, or adjusting to unexpected wake-ups, I approach care with composure. I value clear expectations so I can maintain healthy boundaries and provide dependable, consistent care throughout your time away. Pet care fits naturally into my week. I maintain a consistent daily routine with flexible hours, and afternoons and evenings are open most days. Feeding, walks, and check-ins happen at reliable times so pets stay comfortable and owners know what to expect. I approach every home and animal with calm professionalism and respect. I’m attentive to boundaries, cleanliness, and consistency — whether I’m providing a single visit or longer in-home care. I don’t currently have pets of my own, which allows me to focus fully on the animals in my care. My priority is reliability: safe handling, clear communication, and a steady, grounded presence.

About: Hi! I’m a devoted dog mom to four amazing dogs—one who has been with me for 14 years and three proud foster “wins.” Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with puppies, senior dogs, medication management, fearful or anxious pups, high-energy players, and sweet couch-loving companions. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to meet them where they are—whether that means a calm, reassuring walk, energetic playtime, or extra patience and gentle care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions and provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I am shifting to part-time work and will be flexible to accommodate your pet’s needs. I’m an early riser, ideal for morning walks, feedings, and medications. I offer walks, drop-ins, and longer visits, and I’m experienced with senior dogs, anxious pups, and energetic walkers. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including walks, feedings, medications, playtime, and rest. I take a calm, patient approach and adjust my care for older pets, dogs who need extra reassurance, and dogs who enjoy longer or more active walks. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve been petting sitting since I was fifteen. I have pet sat for family, friends, neighbors and family friends. I have been is charge of reptiles, fish chickens, guinea pigs, horses, hermit crabs, cats and dogs. I love all kinds animals and love adding to pet sitting photo box on my phone. I take pictures of all the pets that I watch. I was a kennel technician for a year and four months at a veterinarian office. I have watched multiple dogs at one time. The most I have watched is three. However when I was a kennel tech I was in charge of a lot. I have my own transportation and loving animals is one of my passions in life and always will be. I do have a full time job however, most of my clients have no problem with me staying at their house while pet sitting. However, it's all up to whatever you want to do. If you prefer I can also drop in and take care of them as well. I have no trouble doing both jobs. Your pup will get plenty of time with me still and it will be properly taken care of. I have been house/pet sitting for some time now and have had no problems at it. I make sure that I have plenty of time to take care of everything that needs to be done. In your house I will treat them like my own. Every pet that I watch becomes a part of my own in a way. I will love on them, take them for walks, or to the park if that is what your wanting. If you have a less active pup no worries we will have a chill time just taking it easy.

About: Hello! My name is Lauren and I am one of the biggest animal lovers you will ever meet! I've grown up with animals my entire life. While cats have my heart, I adore working with all furry, and not so furry friends! I have worked with cats, dogs, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, rabbits, dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, lizards, bearded dragons, fish, and even a few possums! I have worked with reactive animals, neonatal animals, senior animals, and animals with health problems. I am able to administer medications- including insulin shots. I have volunteered at animal shelters in Chattanooga as well as in North Georgia. I currently work 8 AM-2:25 PM Mondays-Thursdays. I can do visits after that on those days. I do not work Friday-Sunday so I have complete flexibility on those days! I always start visits by letting your fur baby lead the introduction. Some fur babies have never met a stranger and others take some patience and treats! It’s so important to me that your pets trust me to care for them while you’re away. I also like to immediately familiarize myself with your instructions and your emergency vet in case anything were to happen. I have connections at the Emergency Vet on Broad Street so if no vet were left in your notes this is where we would go. Any pets staying at my home will have their own room to decompress and relax in. The room will be set up depending on if the animal is a cat or dog! I can include a crate, dog beds, food and water bowls, and toys for dogs. For cats I can provide a cat tree, toys, treats, litter boxes, food, and water.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Oglethorpe
Traveling for my stepdaughter's destination wedding in Trenton, GA / Chattanooga TN and realized that the week long wedding plans involved 2 days where my dogs would be alone in our AIRBNB house for way too many hours for the rehearsal/cocktail evening 8 + hours and the wedding day 12+ hours. Hence, I went to my ROVER application I use while in my home state FL and searched who was near me that could do drop visits on both days to watch 3 dogs they had never met & in all home the dogs had only spent a few days in. LAURA to the rescue!!!!! She provided a courtesy meet & greet and seeing her handle all three dogs truly impressed me. All three of my dogs are seniors, Luna an American Bulldog 11 years and weighs 70 lbs, Maya a Pointer-Mix 9 years weighing 65 lbs and Lemon 11 year old Chihuahua that is both blind and loosing his hearing. Laura was mindful of each of their distinct personalities and even offered to give Lemon his heart medication if needed. She realized during the first drop in that Luna would take some gentle guidance to trust her as well as Lemon who on her own, Laura devised a method to get him outside to go have a bathroom break. All instructions and suggestions were followed with great care and she provided pictures & updates delivering me comfort. To be able to trust a stranger in a rented home and with your fur babies is not a situation one wants to be in but I had to think of the dogs needs and trust Laura. I AM SO GLAD I DID! If you are traveling in GA Trenton/Chattanooga area or ARE A LOCAL, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trusting your babies with LAURA, EYES CLOSED! She exudes, trust, kindness, confidence and animals know best! Thank you Laura, I wish you much success and you are definitely in this business for your love of animals. Godspeed!

Amber came through big time!! Our original sitter had to cancel the day before our weekend trip, but luckily I found Amber! Just 2 hours later, she was able to come meet the pets and go over things at the house. During our trip she sent some great pictures, kept us updated on how everyone was doing and when medicine was given, and communicated well when she was starting and ending her visits. She made the whole experience so much less stressful, and it was clear our pets were well cared for and comfortable with her. We’re super grateful for her flexibility and help on such short notice, and we’d absolutely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
