About: Hi! I’m Keira, a 21 year old lifelong dog lover from Chattanooga (Soddy-Daisy/Lakesite area) who’s completely obsessed with giving dogs the best care possible! I only take one house-sitting booking at a time so I can give your home and your pets my complete love and attention. I had the privilege of caring for my soul dog Charley (a mini schnauzer) for almost 10 years. Because of him, I’m especially gentle and patient with senior dogs, but I also adore puppies and their endless energy! I’m very loving, attentive, and flexible with scheduling. About: I grew up with lots of pets! I have taken care of cats/kittens, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, fish, and horses! I currently live with an 18lb hunk of a cat named Tigger, who has some chronic health needs. I also volunteer taking care of a small herd of goats (and their guard dog) on Maclellan Island. While newer to the official pet-sitting world, I have the skills and experience to care for your fur babies 😍 I work full-time (M-F, 8-5), so my availability is limited on weekdays. I'm fairly flexible on Mondays (wfh), and other weekdays I'm only available for drop-ins/walks early in the morning (6-7am) or later in the evenings (after 5:30pm). Weekends are pretty flexible as long as I have advanced notice! My home is my cat's domain, so I cannot host other furry friends in my house. I asked Sara to help me socialize my adopted, shelter dog. So, instead of a typical drop in, I was present for the visit. Sara was very patient and friendly with my dog and she knew exactly how to interact with her (get down low, avoid eye contact, continously give her treats, and let my dog approach her while telling her what a good girl she is). I was so relieved that I didnt have to explain all of that to her. My dog is so loving and affectionate but is super slow to trust people, but she was taking treats out of Sara's hand immediately. I have asked her to come back, so my dog can get to know the same person before introducing her to more people. I am confident that her and my dog will become great friends.
