Sara was very patient and friendly with my dog and she knew exactly how to interact with her (get down low, avoid eye contact, continously give her treats, and let my dog approach her while telling her what a good girl she is). I was so relieved that I didnt have to explain all of that to her. My dog is so loving and affectionate but is super slow to trust people, but she was taking treats out of Sara's hand immediately. I have asked her to come back, so my dog can get to know the same person before introducing her to more people. I am confident that her and my dog will become great friends.”

“For my first time using Rover, I could not have expected someone so efficient, kind, responsive, and caring as Gretchen. She was able to pick up my last minute booking for Christmas weekend this year when my original pet care plans fell through, and the relief was immense. She was quick to set up a video call since the timeframe didn’t allow for meeting in person, and asked all the right questions about caring for my pet and what to expect. Of course I was nervous, but Gretchen has this demeanor that will just reassure you, and she did. My dog and I are rarely apart and never for that long, so her check ins were my lifeline. Nothing made me happier than seeing the photos she’d send of him (sometimes upwards of 16! ♥️). I remember thinking how great the photos turned out, some seeming professional, like how’d she do that ! I still have them all. Him zooming, him outside, her TAKING HIM ON WALKS, sitting with him, and playing with toys. She even brought treats for him when she came. I left puppy pads down for any extra messes outside of her scheduled visits and to my surprise she even cleaned up and replaced the dirty ones over the course of the weekend! More than just myself, I know my dog appreciated seeing her come through and the time/effort she spent with him. Every time he comes inside from going out now he grabs up a toy to play like she did with him. You know that feeling when someone’s service is just beyond your wildest expectations? And you’re just so relieved and grateful for the treatment. The kindness? Their work. Forever grateful for Gretchen this Christmas, and will be reaching out to her first for any of my sitting needs.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up, our home always seemed like a mini farm—we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and rabbits. I’ve had dogs in my life since I was about three years old and have always loved caring for and spending time with animals. My background in environmental science and conservation has also given me extensive experience working responsibly around animals and spending time outdoors. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, a potty break, playtime, or simply some company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved! My schedule is currently flexible, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care throughout the week. I’m especially available for daytime dog walks and drop-in visits and love having an excuse to get outside and spend time with animals! I’m also available for occasional overnight stays when my schedule allows. I’m happy to work with each pet’s individual routine and will communicate clearly with owners to make sure their pets receive the care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Having grown up around many different kinds of animals, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions and take time to make sure pets feel comfortable and secure. During walks, I stay attentive to my surroundings and keep pets safely leashed. About: I have been around dogs all my life. All of the dogs and cats that my family and I had/have were found as strays and made part of the family. I would always help my parents take care of my neighbor’s dogs when they are away on vacation. This past fall, I dog sat and dog walked for a family before, during, and after they went on a cruise. I am good with young and old dogs, all sizes!! I grew up loving animals and have been fortunate enough to have cared for many different animals. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, fish, guinea pig, squirrels, and a few birds. In the fall of 2025, I fostered a bunny for 2 weeks and took it to adoption events. If I have the funds, I would have definitely kept it. 😂 I currently have 2 green anoles that I care for and love. Hi! I am Ami Masler. I’m from Memphis, TN and currently finishing up my undergraduate at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I am majoring in Exercise and Health Science and hope to become an athletic trainer. Fun fact: I love playing volleyball. Like the information described under the “Pet Care Experience” prompt, I grew up with a variety of pets. Think of it like having an out-of-country farm if you will. I love being around animals, so obviously zoos and aquariums are my favorite places to visit apart from my parents’ house. Classes start up late August, so all dates up until then are open until booked. Once college classes start up again, my schedule will mostly stay the same, open. During the semester, I will have a tutoring job, but it shouldn’t have any effect on scheduling or anything like that. If there is a conflict, tutoring sessions can be moved. I always meet clients before I start any service to make sure that I am compatible with the cat or dog. After that, I make sure to follow what the client needs and wants for their pets. I give lots of attention when I’m not at work and make sure that they get all that they need.

I am dedicated to a creature's well being. I grew up with several dog breeds around me. I have taken dogs on light walks, hiking, on a beach, in the park, or I have just tossed the ball outside each day. In my childhood, I volunteered with a local zoo and taught other kids about wildlife. I also trained golden retrievers and learned from local vets. My life has always been full of creature love, dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, rabbits, birds, monkeys, tigers, and ground hogs. I truly love all animals. I work remotely and so have the flexibility to adapt my daily schedule to your fur baby’s to make every day supportive, loving, and fun!
