Pet Sitting in Hixson

About: I have had pets my entire life (cats, dogs, ducks). I’ve taken care of many friends and family’s pets, from daily walks to over night stays. I have also had an anxious and reactive dog for the past 5.5 years, so I know how to adjust to an animals needs and make them happy and comfortable. I have open availability during mornings and afternoons for long walks, short/ long runs, hiking adventures, or sessions of fetch with your furry friends. Over night stays available with notice. I have an anxious dog in my home so I will only be able to do drop ins, walking, or overnight sitting at the clients home. I love to go on long walks with my dog, hikes, or runs (for the highly active pups).

“I asked Sara to help me socialize my adopted, shelter dog. So, instead of a typical drop in, I was present for the visit. Sara was very patient and friendly with my dog and she knew exactly how to interact with her (get down low, avoid eye contact, continously give her treats, and let my dog approach her while telling her what a good girl she is). I was so relieved that I didnt have to explain all of that to her. My dog is so loving and affectionate but is super slow to trust people, but she was taking treats out of Sara's hand immediately. I have asked her to come back, so my dog can get to know the same person before introducing her to more people. I am confident that her and my dog will become great friends.”

About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life (mine and the animals of people I love). I am passionate about animals of all kinds and have experience caring for animals of all ages, medical needs, and temperaments. I currently have a puppy and two cats (one with medical needs). I’ll care for your furbabies with the same attention I care for mine. I am a classical violinist, so my working hours usually occur Thursday - Sunday. I am usually free all day Monday - Wednesday, allowing me a lot of flexibility to visit your pet when and however often you need me to. I know how important it is for your pet to be treated and cared for with the specific instructions you require. I will take great care to follow everything to a “T” and care for your babies the way I care for my own. I am extra cautious about pet safety (opening and closing doors, leash security, environmental awareness on walks, etc.)

“I really enjoyed working with JaNiya this past week as she performed drop in visits for our cat, Mae-C. Mae-C has a new friend now and the two of them played together and enjoyed an hour long visit each day interacting with treats, games, grooming and music. JaNiya also helped with a few light chores around the house like checking the mail and watering the plants. She was also very accommodating and our cat just loves her. About: I have over a decade of dedicated experience in animal care, beginning with a lifetime of raising family cats and dogs. For 12 years, I was the proud owner of a British Bombay. My formal experience includes a 10-year tenure as a volunteer at the Southern Pines Animal Shelter in Hattiesburg, MS, where I assisted with kennel maintenance, exercise programs, and medical care, including administering vaccinations,. Currently, I am expanding my professional expertise by working towards AKC certifications to ensure the highest standard of care for every pet I work with. I am currently working a full-time job, but I have some flexibility. My availability for house sits is wide open. My availability for drop-ins & walks: - All day Tuesday, Thursday, & Sunday - Monday & Wednesday 6 am - 10 am - Friday & Saturday after 6 pm I have a large fenced in back yard and a friendly pitbull to keep your dog company. I can easily separate the animals if necessary and or crate your dog.
