“Crystal was very sweet to our senior cat. She was happy to give her medication and check on her while we were away. We returned to a happy kitty and a tidy house. Thank you, Crystal!”

“Carrie did a wonderful job taking care of our elderly cat. She was always on time, communicated clearly and was very reliable. We appreciate the updates and pictures she sent during each visit, it gave us a peace of mind knowing Nikita was in such good hands. We highly recommend Carrie to anyone looking for a caring dependable pet sitter.”

“Kurstyn has been amazing! She always shows up right on time and keeps me updated throughout the visit, which I really appreciate. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing Zoe is in good hands.”
“I never left my cat before with anyone. I had to make last minute plans and turned to Rover based on a referral from a friend. My cat is my everything and I was so nervous. I read how a rover sitter is screened including a background check and the employees are bonded. I looked closely at each available persons profile and decided on Monica. From our very first interaction Monica was accommodating, friendly, attentive, and understanding. Her communication skills were on point. In the future I will use Rover and most importantly Monica. She is wonderful in every meaning of the word. I came home to my cat being healthy and happy. I would score higher than a 5 if possible!”

About: Hi! I’m Keira, a 21 year old lifelong dog lover from Chattanooga (Soddy-Daisy/Lakesite area) who’s completely obsessed with giving dogs the best care possible! I only take one house-sitting booking at a time so I can give your home and your pets my complete love and attention. Your fur babies will be my whole world while you’re away — I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and very loved every single day! I had the privilege of caring for my soul dog Charley (a mini schnauzer) for almost 10 years. During that time I learned so much about loving and caring for dogs — including giving daily subcutaneous fluids when he needed them. Because of him, I’m especially gentle and patient with senior dogs, but I also adore puppies and their endless energy! I’m very loving, attentive, and flexible with scheduling. Whether you need daily walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your fur baby will get lots of cuddles, playtime, and genuine affection while you’re away. I’d be honored to care for your dog (or cat! I’m very good with cats although I do have fewer years of experience with them!) Feel free to message me with any questions 💕 I’m currently between jobs so all of my focus is on animal care! I have a super open schedule so your furry friend will get so much attention and love!! I can’t offer care from my home, I live with too many people and would hate to stress out your pet, but I can come and stay in your home, whether it be overnight or drop-ins. I’m very good about feeding on time, watching the water bowl, giving frequent potty breaks, and taking a few walks throughout the day. I will also adhere to any special requests you may have for your pup!
About: I’ve owned my own Professional Pet Business for over 10 years now. I watch all types of pets and will focus all of my attention on your fur babies when they are in my care. I do not double book. I offer my services in most areas in and around Hixon, TN. I am a reliable business owner and committed to the well being of your babies My services include pet sitting, pet walking, drop in care, and most other pet care services. My previous career was a 25 year Civil Engineer, so I’m a reliable, responsible, and very trustworthy. If you’d like references, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you and your pet (s), and providing the best care for your precious fur babies. I’m partially retired and am available most days and evenings. I work for myself so I can work around your schedule. Taking care of your pets in your home is a lot more comfortable and less stressful for them than boarding. Pets can come home traumatized after boarding. I will make sure you come home to a very happy pet! I am sorry and don’t currently care for dogs in my home. I’m unable to give the best care in I may provide this service in the future.
“Kearsten took AMAZING care of both of our cats. She provided consistent and thorough communication, as well as documentation of her visits. She made sure to note anything of concern regarding the cats and their health, and did a wonderful job with their medication administration every day. We will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I have provided animal care services for my neighbors since I was 11. I dog/cat sit and dog walk. I have worked in animal care professionally as well as freelance! I am currently a college student on break so I have a very flexible schedule! Once I began classes again, I will work around my class schedule. I grew up with at least two dogs at all times! I love spending time with them inside or outside, playing with them or simply sitting and reading to them.

“Casey, Luigi, and co are absolutely amazing! They are very professional, respectful, and timely. We received updates with every check-in on our pup. We loved seeing the pictures and videos of our dog playing and happy. Highly recommend these awesome, dependable people!”
“Abagail was great. Showed up on time and communicated with a detailed narrative of the visit. Also included pictures. Great communicator. Will definitely call on her again. Thanks”

“This was my first trip away from my pup for a few days and didn’t quite know what to expect. Jeanette was excellent. She arrived a few minutes before scheduled times everyday, and going off the pictures she sends you can tell she really cares. I would definitely recommend if you want your pup just as happy when you come back as when you left.”

About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life (mine and the animals of people I love). I am passionate about animals of all kinds and have experience caring for animals of all ages, medical needs, and temperaments. I currently have a puppy and two cats (one with medical needs). I’ll care for your furbabies with the same attention I care for mine. I am a classical violinist, so my working hours usually occur Thursday - Sunday. I am usually free all day Monday - Wednesday, allowing me a lot of flexibility to visit your pet when and however often you need me to. I know how important it is for your pet to be treated and cared for with the specific instructions you require. I will take great care to follow everything to a “T” and care for your babies the way I care for my own. I am extra cautious about pet safety (opening and closing doors, leash security, environmental awareness on walks, etc.)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Soddy-Daisy
Emily is such an amazing person. She helped us out in a tight spot with our daughter’s dog sitter canceling last minute, while also house sitting and dog sitting our shepherd. She truly went above and beyond! She’s so friendly, kind, and caring. She’s very professional and knowledgeable about pets, as well. Our house looked the exact same way we left it, and our dogs were happy and healthy, when we returned home from our trip! Emily is easy to love and has a huge heart for pets and people❤️ We will hire her every chance we get, bc she is truly the best we’ve had to care for our pets and our home while we were away. Give Emily a try and you won’t regret it!! She is incredible!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
