“Best sitter ever!! She's so accommodating! Her home has a great open floor plan and is off the road. She has kennels for those who need/like them but for my boy, the whole family treated him just like we do! He is 4 and has never been away from us, so this was scary, but he acted completely happy and that gave us peace to enjoy our vacation!! I could see his joy in the pictures she sent us. Thank you Echo!! We can't wait to use you again!!”

“Crystal was so good and patient with my girl Trudy. Trudy has seizures and can apparently have some separation anxiety where she whines and howls. Crystal was so good with her and took excellent care of her. This was my first time using Rover and I was very nervous to leave her with someone. Due to her medications and seizures. Crystal was great and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!”
“Brandi took such wonderful care of my girl Roxy! I loved that she gave me detailed updates on how Roxy was doing and pics showing me how she spent her day. I highly recommend Brandi!”

“Pam was incredible! We had a different sitter booked and they cancelled on the last minute so we needed to secure someone to care for our wild dog very quickly. From the first interaction, Pam was responsive, confident, and calm. She provided regular updates, asked questions when needed, and I was confident Benji was in good hands.”

“Rachel was absolutely fantastic and I am very lucky to have found her to watch my kitty while I was out of town. She sent me unprompted photos daily which I really appreciated. It was so nice to be away knowing my cat was in good hands. The next time I go out of town, she will be the first person I’d reach out to if I need a pet sitter.”

“Brittany did a great job taking care of my two rambunctious Shepard-mixes! She kept me updated with news and photos and I felt very comfortable with my pups in her care.”

“Bethani is awesome! So glad Kota got to hang out with her and her family. Her property is great for dogs. No complaints at all - smooth process all around. Will definitely have Kota stay with her again.”

“Jonathan kept my dog really well. We went away for 20 days, and I always felt confident that Watson was well looked after. When I picked my dog up he couldn't believe I still existed. He'd completely adjusted to his new life;) We'll happily use Jonathan again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.”

“This was my first time using Rover. I was nervous. Pam was perfect for my pup Jack. She was kind and compassionate, sent me multiple pics of Jack while he was there and he was a happy camper when I picked him up. Will definitely reach out again for Pam. 💛”

“Karie was wonderful! Communicative via messages and sending photos, took my dog on multiple walks a day, and in general cared for him as one of her own. Highly recommend!”

“Andrew did a great job with my pup. Great communication and I very much appreciated his flexibility. This was a vacation stay and if I’m in the area again, I would certainly work with him again.”

“Monica was wonderful!! We were able to enjoy our trip, knowing our baby was well taken care of! Monica sent photos daily & let us know how our puppy was doing. Roxie, our puppy had a great time playing with her cat!! We will definitely use her again!!”

“Nancy & Stan not only took my booking very last minute, but were so kind and gracious throughout the entire experience. They truly exude such warmth and my pup loved them so quickly for being strangers and I think that says a lot! Great communication and feedback the entire trip and they gave our girl lots of love and walks. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for her.”

“Susannah was excellent with my 2 senior labs and she provided frequent updates and pics. I know my pups enjoyed playing with her two very friendly and happy pups and I won't hesitate to reach out again. I highly recommend!”

“WOW! Barkfest at Tiffany’s was the perfect place for our furry BFF, Presley! We received regular updates with pictures, texts and videos assuring us that he did NOT miss us one bit as WE were missing him! Rest assured that you are leaving your pet in a great home where dogs are treated better than most people! ❤️”

“Laura was amazing! Our dog had a great time and was well taken care of. She provided updates and even accommodated our unexpected travel delay. The entire experience was perfect & we will definitely book with her again in the future!”

“I was worried the dogs wouldn't want to come home from all the pictures of them playing with the family dog the kids and themselves. So happy we found a place where I know they feel at home!!”

Our dog Kona has stayed here numerous times. Casey and her family always treat our pup like one of their own and Kona is excited to see Casey and her boys when I drop her off. I am so thankful to have found such a caring place for our girl to stay when we are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Soddy-Daisy home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Soddy-Daisy.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Soddy-Daisy sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
