I grew up with a dachshund who was part of my family from age 8 until he passed away when I was 18, and I have also owned a cat. For six years, I regularly helped care for my roommate’s two elderly Miniature Schnauzers while she worked long nursing shifts. I frequently provided overnight care and handled more involved senior needs, including following detailed routines, cleaning up accidents, changing diapers, assisting with mobility, and keeping them comfortable and safe. I’ve also frequently pet-sat a friend’s young Goldendoodle, so I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, active play, and walks that sometimes feel more like a run!
