“Absolutely wonderful! Nancy & Stan are such kind and caring people. They have a beautiful home with a large yard in a great neighborhood. Their home and family are so welcoming. We received updates and photos throughout the stay and really loved getting those! It’s so nice to know your pet is well taken care of and comfortable when away. Highly recommend them to everyone!”

“I am very pleased with Megan and Chris, and their care of my girl, Dolly. I love the fact that Dolly was allowed on the couch and bed, just like at home. It was reassuring to see all the pictures and just how much fun she had during her two week stay, Having Poppy to play with was definitely a big plus, thank you. I will not hesitate to rebook with Megan and Chris.”

“I feel so lucky to have found George S. and family. He and his home set me so at ease from the first moment. My dogs are 'middle aged' and Lizzie has delicate health. Huck's on a diet. George was so easy to work with and accommodating and attentive to my (pretty simple) requests. I know for sure that my dogs were treated as members of his household. He sent me photos and told me little tidbits about Huck and Lizzie that made me know they cared and his family had grown affection for my pups--which the pups can certainly can sense. Once back home, they seemed content and relaxed. I love Rover.com! George S. and family will be my go-to caretakers any time I need boarding.”
“Such an amazing family! It was so nice to meet her and feel the love of her family. Dropping my dog off there I knew he would be cared for with lots of attention. I appreciated how detailed and honest Brooke’s updates were. It is nice to know exactly what is going on along with pictures and updates on the goofy things my dog does. Of course I missed him, but I was not worried. I knew he was in good hands. I will absolutely trust Brooke and her family again. Thank you!”

“Pam took wonderful care of my dog, Loui! From the moment we met, I could tell she was a true dog lover, and Loui warmed up to her immediately. Throughout Loui’s stay, Pam kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind. When I picked Loui up, he was happy, well-exercised, and clearly enjoyed his time with Pam. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend Pam for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Stephanie is the best sitter ever, I’m so thankful for her care and dedication with my very energetic puppy. Lila always enjoy to stay over there and play with her dogs and cats, it’s literally a vacation for her. Thank you so much Stephanie.”

“Andrew was great and he paid a lot of attention to our pup! We felt very relieved knowing our girl was being taken care of. We got updates and photos daily, which was very nice to have.”

“Absolutely the best!! Loki (and myself to be honest) is prone to separation anxiety and Emily was super understanding, helpful, and amazing at keeping me updated! 10/10”

“Very accommodating, knows anything you’d ever want to know about your furry friend and our dog came home and slept for two days. She has a great yard for them to run around. We came home a little earlier than expected and made her late for an appointment which we felt so bad about. She’s the perfect person to have if you need someone to take care of your pet and not have to worry about them at all. We will use her again when the need arises. Thank you Malia !!!”

“Megan and Jeff were amazing! I was so anxious leaving Sioux with a sitter, but Megan made sure to provide me with plenty of updates and pics which helped calm my nerves. Sioux was able to settle in quickly, and when we went to go pick her up, it seemed like she didn't even wanna leave! (She has separation anxiety, so this was a huge win!) I could tell they treated Sioux like one of their own. I'll absolutely be reaching out to Megan again if I'm in the area and fully trust them with my pup!”

“If there was a way to leave 10 STARS I would. Kaylyn was great with my toy poodle. I got pictures and videos of my dog enjoying her days playing, relaxing on the couch, and having a lazy day sunning. Ginger was just as comfortable and happy with her as she is at home. I had no worries or concerns and was able to enjoy my vacation. I will be using Kaylyn again, it’s home away from home. Thank you!”

“Sara is the best! I recently left my sweet boy Leo with Sara while I traveled across the country for over a week. Due to flight delays and massive storm my trip was extended and I was delayed getting home. Sara gladly kept Leo longer and made sure I received updates and photos while I was away and missing my pup. I’m so grateful for Sara and the amazing care and love she provided to Leo while I was away. Sara is our #1 go-to anytime Leo needs to be cared for in my absence in the future. Thank you, Sara!”

“Will & Jillian were great with Rosie and were great about sending pictures and communicating with us while we were away! We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Jonathan kept my dog really well. We went away for 20 days, and I always felt confident that Watson was well looked after. When I picked my dog up he couldn't believe I still existed. He'd completely adjusted to his new life;) We'll happily use Jonathan again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.”

“Karie was super responsive and flexible when we boarded our two pups with her for the night. She has a beautiful fenced in backyard that was perfect for our active 1.5 and 2 (nearly 3) year old Wheatens. Was also very thoughtful to ask if we wanted to do a pre-visit before leaving them overnight. Will definitely board with her again when we are in town!”

“Loved the personal updates and photos throughout my dog’s stay. She looked so happy in the photos and was glad she had some new friends to play with. Will definitely be my go-to residence! ❤️”

“Angela is a supersitter! She was so kind and caring with our dogs and really went the extra mile, throwing frisbee to our Aussie and loving on our cavapoo! She is a genuine animal liver who treats your pets like her own! We will definitely rebook. Thanks, Angela!”

“Bethani is a pro. She sent pictures and kept us informed every day while our dog was with her. He made lots of friends and seemed to be super happy when we picked him up.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Harrison
Alora instantly made us feel comfortable leaving our precious fur son in her families care. This was our first Rover experience and she went above and beyond expectation from quick communication, consistent updates with photos, and even sent us home with adorable instax photos of our baby and treats for him. Alora is incredibly thoughtful and I truly felt like she cared for our pup like her very own. She asked important questions and took the time to ensure our pup would be a good fit for safety and comfort. She was understanding of our dog's behavior needs and highly capable of managing them. Our pup came back to us with a calm, happy demeanor and clearly enjoyed his time with Alora and her family!

If I could, I would leave 10 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Joslynne accepted my request to care for my pup on very short notice. The handoff was seamless, communication was excellent, the updates and photos were perfection. I did not worry a single moment about my pup, Macie. I cannot recommend Joslynne enough! Thank you!

We had our first extended stay with Juanyale, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided for my two puppies, Sir and Nala. From the beginning, she was communicative, attentive, and patient. I appreciated receiving updates throughout their stay and being able to check in on how they were doing. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were being cared for while I was away. What I appreciated most was that she took the time to learn their individual personalities. Sir settled in well and she kept me informed about how he was doing. Nala is much more expressive and takes longer to adjust to new environments, and I appreciated her patience and honesty in sharing how Nala was acclimating during the stay. When I picked them up, they were safe, healthy, and clearly well cared for. As a dog parent, it’s not easy leaving your babies for several days, but she made the experience much easier and gave me confidence that they were in good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and communicative sitter.

Cheryse and her family are our go-to sitters! The whole family is super great with our two dogs (one who loves people and one who is fearful/vocal). She always sends lots of pictures and our dogs get a ton of play, attention, and love from her and her children! Can’t recommend Cheryse enough :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
