“Joseph was amazing taking care of Trixie, we recently got her, so he gave me a few tips on how to train her properly which I really appreciated. He is an excellent sitter and if I ever need to board Trixie again, I will definitely be asking him to take her again. He also sent daily updates with photos and videos and I really loved that because it lets me see from the distance that she is happy and well taken care of. Thank you so much!”

“Tish was awesome! I was in town for 1 night and she was super accommodating and was able to board my boy Zeus on short notice! Communicate was great. I would highly recommend Tish to anyone! I will definitely use her again if I’m in the area again.”

“I’m so glad to find Stephanie, she is a kind and friendly lady what took a so good care of my baby. Lila found a new friends and a house we can say is a home for her, she literally missed the days she stayed over there. I highly recommend Stephanie but hope the review don’t make she so booked than can’t have us back, lol.”

“Sara is the best! I recently left my sweet boy Leo with Sara while I traveled across the country for over a week. Due to flight delays and massive storm my trip was extended and I was delayed getting home. Sara gladly kept Leo longer and made sure I received updates and photos while I was away and missing my pup. I’m so grateful for Sara and the amazing care and love she provided to Leo while I was away. Sara is our #1 go-to anytime Leo needs to be cared for in my absence in the future. Thank you, Sara!”

“Our Gus was treated so well at George’s home! He got to play with Azul (their beautiful pup) and another sweet dog during his stay. I love that he was with kids and in a family setting while we were out of town. He was completely worn out after we picked him up—the sign of a very well-loved golden retriever! I wouldn’t hesitate to take Gus back!”

“This was our first time leaving our girls with Casey & Luigi, and their professionalism was very impressive! From their sign-in sheet, to the updates with pics, to the treat bags at pickup, you could tell they care about their clients AND their furry friends! Roxie and Frankie have been sleeping all day today, obviously worn out from playing Saturday and Sunday. Thanks!”

“Tucker enjoyed the other dogs and had a great time at Brittney’s. She sent reports and pictures often and she would be my first choice in the future. Thanks for taking such good care of our little boy.”

“Our dog Lola had a great week with Pam!! We got updates and pictures most every day and Lola was so well cared for while we were gone. This was our first time using Rover and leaving Lola in someone else’s care other than at home with family so we were so thrilled with how well everything went. We will definitely be using Pam again! Thanks!!”

“Marluce is our go to sitter when we need someone to take care of our dog. She is so kind to Maisie and gives her the royal treatment. I highly recommend her if you need a dog sitter.”

“Crystal took such good care of our puppy who has anxiety when in new situations- her whole family was understanding and gave him tons of loving. Also, he is on a special diet and she made sure he only ate what we gave and correct amount so he didn't get sick. She even watched him two extra days when we gave late notice which helped us out a lot. Crystal and her whole family are animal lovers and I ensure you your pets will get the love and care they deserve.”

“If there was a way to leave 10 STARS I would. Kaylyn was great with my toy poodle. I got pictures and videos of my dog enjoying her days playing, relaxing on the couch, and having a lazy day sunning. Ginger was just as comfortable and happy with her as she is at home. I had no worries or concerns and was able to enjoy my vacation. I will be using Kaylyn again, it’s home away from home. Thank you!”

“Joslynne did an excellent job in watching my dog. She was very professional and she keep us in the loop. She also gave my dog treats. My dog was in heaven playing with her pack He was one tired puppy when he got home. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a fantastic sitter. Thank You!”

“The whole family took very good care of Abby. I could tell by the daily updates that she was being treated just like she was part of the family. Abby perked up when I showed her a picture and said one of the children names, looking around for her new found friend only settling back down when I started to pet Abby. Can’t thank them enough for the attention given. Awesome service!”

“Banjo came home happy and exhausted. Justin clearly provided plenty of exercise and a great environment for dogs. Justin was on time for both pick up and drop offs, and the pre-boarding meeting to make sure everyone is copacetic is a pro-move. Your dog is guaranteed to enjoy their time with Justin.”

“Jessica is an amazing person and has great energy - I had no concerns about her taking care of my pup in her own home for a few days. From the pictures Jessica sent and the long looks at the door once my dog was home, it looks like it was a blast and she's excited to stay with Jessica again in the future. Thank you, Jessica!”

“This is our second time booking with Vanessa and we will never use anyone else. Our pups are so well taken care of and it’s so obvious how much they love her! Can never say enough good things about Vanessa!! The babies already can’t wait for their next visit!!”

“Excellent communication, comfortable, clean, and safe space! Destiny is exactly who we were looking for for our high-energy terrier. She was already familiar with the training tools and techniques we got from his trainers, and understood his breed characteristics & needs. She introduced him to her own pets intentionally, and by the time we picked him up, he was clearly comfortable and happy with her. So pleased to have someone knowledgeable who I can trust with our VERY terrier terrier.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Collegedale
We left our young (11month) pup with Megan and her hubby. We did a meet and greet beforehand to see if it was good fit all round. We felt very comfortable leaving the pup with Megan. We did a one-nighter, just to see how it would go - I think the pup has some separation anxiety (away from hubby). But she did well I think, they have a great back yard for dogs - very safe and secure - and toys. And I believe they were playing with the pup before hubby picked her up next day - she was very happily pooped when he brought her home. Megan did tell us that the pup was crying through the night and they ended up having to put her on their bed to sleep for the night. I feel so bad about that - sorry Megan! But other than the pup and her anxiety at night (without us, as she’s used to), she did great. We feel really good about leaving her now in safe hands whenever we’re out of town traveling. Very nice couple. Safe house, great for the pup - lots of freedom and very comfortable for the pup. Would definitely recommend. We’ll definitely use again in the future. Thank you Megan and Jeff (and I hope I got hubby’s name right!). :)
We had an amazing experience leaving our 2 dogs with Nicole. We got regular updates and photos/videos. Our dogs looked very happy and comfortable in them. It seemed the whole family made our pups a part of their life and routine while we were away. We were super relaxed on our trip knowing the fur babies are doing good.

I instantly felt that Pepper was in good hands with Taylor and Toby. Very professional, yet it still felt like I was leaving Pepper with family. Such a great environment and area of town to leave your pet. Taylor graciously and warmly accommodated my trip on short notice. I am very grateful. Definitely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
