“She was right on time, enthusiastic, and truly cared for our babies. They can be difficult on walks and she handled them like a pro! The dogs loved her and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Leslie was an amazing pet sitter. She took excellent care of my dog as well as my friends dog who can be extremely anxious. Leslie went out of her way to make sure he felt comfortable with treats and patience. She was flexible with time changes and even came through when I had a blunder of my own and didn’t provide accurate information (sorry again Leslie!). I would recommend her to anyone as she is attentive, kind, understanding, and most importantly excellent with dogs. I will certainly be using Leslie for all of my future dog sitting/walking needs. Thanks, Leslie! Leslie was an amazing pet sitter! She took excellent care of my dog as well as my friend’s dog, who can be extremely anxious. Leslie went out of her way to make sure he felt comfortable with plenty of patience, treats, and care. She was incredibly attentive and flexible with time changes, and even came through when I had a blunder of my own and didn’t provide accurate information (sorry again, Leslie!). I would recommend Leslie to anyone looking for a sitter or walker. She is kind, attentive, understanding, and, most importantly, excellent with dogs. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure both dogs were happy and comfortable, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I will definitely be using Leslie for all of my future dog sitting and walking needs. Thanks again, Leslie! River and I really appreciate you!”

“JaNiya was amazing with my dog, Goose! I can always tell if he’s been well taken care of by how calm he is when I return from work. She even gave some love to my cat, too!”

“Journey has taken care of my pup several times now. She communicates well and has been available for a few last minute requests which is super helpful for my unpredictable work schedule. She’s great!”

“Vanessa was great! We booked her for a last minute dog walk and she was super fast to respond and very accommodating to our fairly high-maintenance requests. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I've been caring for cats, dogs, fish, and rodents since I could walk. I have had special needs animals, and have a background in Biology and Vet Assistant studies. Each bond is special, and I will treat your furry friends with the upmost care and attention. I am currently in between jobs, so my availability is highly flexible. I am open to over-night pet sitting, as well as multi-day drop ins to ensure pet needs are met. I am able to pet sit in the client's home where duties may include taking the pet for a walk, playing outside or inside for stimulation, providing meals and/or medications, providing companionship if that entails sitting with the pet for an extended amount of time.
“Amber was so helpful to step in when our other walker canceled at the last minute. She was professional, punctual, and our girl loved her. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service! I currently have two dogs that I watch for my mother. When I am in town, this looks like walks every afternoon and evening, frequent play time, and feedings. I love to make sure they are happy- whether that’s running around outside, long play time, some chill TLC, or even a few extra treats ;)
About: I have been animal sitting since I was 16 years old. I am a cat lover through and through, but I also love dog walking and playing with dogs! I am good at providing medicine for animals, and I really thrive with senior animals. I am a part time worker, so in the week day I am more free to be with your pets! I am pretty flexible as well, and I can work around your schedule. When I am in my clients home, I am very respectful of your space and only go where is necessary. I am comfortable spending the night as well as only jumping in for a little bit. I love taking dogs on trails to go for a run, and providing whatever they need!
About: I have 16 years of experience caring for pets, whether it be my own personal pets, pet sitting for others pets and working in vet clinics- Most recently in an Er vet clinic! Before I became a stay at home mom I managed the front desk of an ER vet and helping triage serious to non serious visits. I also have roughly about 1 year of vet tech experience as well! I am currently a stay at home mom so I am able to help care for your furry family members any time of the day! At this time, home visits are what I offer due to having an infant! I will be there to feed, walk, play and care for your fur baby and give companionship and a sense of comfort while you are away in your pets safe space!
About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of pets since I became a teenager. I’ve also house sat in addition to pet sat for 8 years now, and have reliable references. Pet sitting is currently a side gig alongside my full time job, but I’d love to help with any pet care I can! I currently work 9-6 M-F at a daycare, so I will have mornings and evenings (plus a lunch break from work) and weekends to check in, feed, walk, play with, and clean up after your pet. I ensure leads and harnesses are properly put on pets when walks are needed, I ensure a clean house so that pets do not eat anything off the floor, tables, countertops, etc., I ensure doors are locked at all times

About: My specialty is bigger dogs who like to pull. My best friend is a 110 lb wolfdog named keylo who I've had around 7 years. I walk him and our other dog 3/4 times a week. Their are several hikes around the area we go on as well. I usually work from home so I will have plenty of time for your fur babies . 5 minutes from several parks as well🐶 😊 schedule is flexible I have a huge fenced in back yard with multiple levels and lots of roaming/playing room. Im close to several parks as well as nature trails.
About: What sets me apart is how genuinely I connect with every animal I care for. I take the time to learn their routines, quirks, and what makes them feel safe and happy. I treat every pet like family. I always go the extra mile to make sure owners feel at ease while they’re away. I am pretty flexible with scheduling for all needs! You let me know what you need and I can more than likely make it happen! My home is clean, pet-friendly, and set up for both play and rest. I can easily crate your dog if needed, follow any feeding or medication routines, and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away.
About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and am my friends and families go-to dog sitter! Since starting Rover I have had the pleasure of meeting many new friends and establishing multiple returning clients and 5 star reviews. I have experience with multiple breeds and the variety of needs that come with that. I am a dog lover through and through. I genuinely care about the well being of all pets and will make sure any pet in my care is looked after like they were my own. I am home most of the time with my daughter and 6 year old cavapoo. Gillian was great! I needed a last minute walker while we were away and she was able to accommodate our schedule. She went out of her way to make sure we had time for a meet and greet beforehand. My boy Moonpie is a little skiddish of new people but she was very sweet and moved at his pace. I will absolutely use Gillian again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
