She was right on time, enthusiastic, and truly cared for our babies. They can be difficult on walks and she handled them like a pro! The dogs loved her and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

About: I've been caring for cats, dogs, fish, and rodents since I could walk. I have had special needs animals, and have a background in Biology and Vet Assistant studies. Each bond is special, and I will treat your furry friends with the upmost care and attention. I am currently in between jobs, so my availability is highly flexible. I am open to over-night pet sitting, as well as multi-day drop ins to ensure pet needs are met. I am able to pet sit in the client's home where duties may include taking the pet for a walk, playing outside or inside for stimulation, providing meals and/or medications, providing companionship if that entails sitting with the pet for an extended amount of time.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and currently have three dogs of my own, so caring for animals is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m experienced with feeding routines, walks, playtime, administering basic medications if needed, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Pet care is something I truly enjoy and treat as a priority in my schedule. I have a flexible routine that allows me to dedicate time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m reliable about sticking to each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Safety and comfort are always my priority when caring for pets. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I make sure pets are secure, supervised, and comfortable in their environment. I also provide plenty of attention, playtime, and updates so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for.

I follow instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, playtime, medications, and any household routines. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I let them set the pace. About: I have been animal sitting since I was 16 years old. I am a cat lover through and through, but I also love dog walking and playing with dogs! I am good at providing medicine for animals, and I really thrive with senior animals. I am a part time worker, so in the week day I am more free to be with your pets! I am pretty flexible as well, and I can work around your schedule. When I am in my clients home, I am very respectful of your space and only go where is necessary. I am comfortable spending the night as well as only jumping in for a little bit. I love taking dogs on trails to go for a run, and providing whatever they need!

About: I have 16 years of experience caring for pets, whether it be my own personal pets, pet sitting for others pets and working in vet clinics- Most recently in an Er vet clinic! Before I became a stay at home mom I managed the front desk of an ER vet and helping triage serious to non serious visits. I also have roughly about 1 year of vet tech experience as well! I am currently a stay at home mom so I am able to help care for your furry family members any time of the day! At this time, home visits are what I offer due to having an infant! I will be there to feed, walk, play and care for your fur baby and give companionship and a sense of comfort while you are away in your pets safe space!

About: Mi, my name is Sam! I have recently moved back to the US and am looking for more ways to cover rent. I have grown up with pets my entire life and I currently have two cats and three betta fish tanks. I grew up volunteering at my local humane society and have pet sit mostly for family, friends, and co-workers in the past. I have taken care of cats, small dogs, big dogs, puppies, elder dogs, and more. I am experienced with many different training routines, the most extensive being my friends hunting dog who had to have regular and intense training everyday from basic commands to complex routines. Also, no worries if your pet is a little "high maintenance", whatever your loved one needs I am ready to provide. My goal is to make sure your pet is happy and you feel assured of your pet's care. I am currently job hunting, so I do not know exactly what my schedule will look like at this exact moment. That said, once we communicate the best needs for your pet, I promise to only go for jobs where I can assure that your pet can follow their regular schedule. I can assure that when I come to your house, I will make sure to leave your home exactly as I found it (as I have many years experience house sitting, with many people joking about how "it was like they weren't even there"). I am currently job hunting so I have lots of availability as of right now. Once I am in a more stable working schedule, I will let you know as well as update my profile accordingly. Due to my schedule freedom right now, I am able to fully commit to your pets care. I will always do my best to make sure your pet feels as comfortable and as close to their normal routine as is possible. If it has not been communicated to me before your departure, I will always double check with you before doing something (ex: going to a park or on a hike, playing a certain way, unknown foods, etc.) and will keep you updated on anything I observe or experience.

I own two Shih Tzus and one service dog that is a Schnauzer. All of my pets are dog and cat friendly. I own my own home, extra crates of all sizes for those that need crates. I have extra fences for inside and outside the home if someone doesn’t like to mingle. My fur babies are family and I’ll treat yours the same. I work from home 100% of the time. I have breaks on the hour for potty breaks and to go walk and care for your fur babies locally. I live alone with my rescues and my fur babies are my life. I work as a Professional Counselor and have a secondary Masters in Applied Behavioral Analysis. I was raised with a professional dog trainer and have a lifetime of experience. From the start, it was such a relief to find someone as dependable and caring as Daniel. This was the first time I had ever hired someone to care for and walk my dog multiple times each week, and I was a little nervous, but Daniel quickly put me at ease. She took exceptional care of my dog and was consistently reliable and trustworthy. She paid close attention to even the smallest details, like noticing when I accidentally left a toy out that could have been a choking hazard or turning the TV on for Finn when I forgot. She always provided pictures and thoughtful updates and made sure to let me know about anything out of the ordinary, including unusual looking bowel movements.I am incredibly grateful for the level of care and attention she gave my dog. My dog is truly my child, and finding someone you can fully trust is invaluable. I would absolutely recommend Daniel to anyone looking for someone who will keep their pet safe, cared for, and genuinely loved. With her, you always know your dog is in the very best care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
