“Justin is absolutely fantastic! He took our very energetic lab on a hike where he got off leash time and was able to stream around in some creeks. He came back so tired and has slept the last two days!”

“Gaby was very flexible with my fluctuating schedule. She was also very welcoming and patient with my pup. She reported back about his day and how he behaved during day care. I highly recommend Gaby.”

“Would definitely be a repeat customer of Tatiana’s! She menu was accommodating, friendly, great location, and better yet our dog loved her and her sweet dog, Kairo!”

“George and his family took excellent care of my dog, Fennec. I got regular updates and a couple of photos, so I never worried. My nervous boy, Fenn, settled in easily with George and the kids. I will definitely take Fenn there again. I highly recommend!”
About: I have grown up working on farms and raised with the mentality of pets are always family! Your loved ones are always safe with me! I work from home and have a fun big dog park at my apartment complex. Need a sitter with flexibility I am your go to! I have my own baby. He is a 3 year old golden as cute as could be. We love to be outside majority of the day!
“Josie was great! She kindly welcomed us to an impromptu meet and greet which was very helpful for our two shih tzus, 0ne is over 15 yo, nearly deaf with vision loss, and his buddy was recently rescued from a breeding mill so he's learning about love, leash, harness, steps, toys, beds, security: everything in dog life. Josie and her service dog Saint share a wonderful energy which we appreciate. Our two pups do best in calm and they responded well to them. During their stay Josie provided exceptional communication with photos and updates which we appreciated even when we were unable to respond. Her love, patience and dedication to dogs are evident. I definitely recommend Josie and Saint and will request them again. Next time I think our little dogs would be more comfortable without a second large dog staying too. I have confidence in Josie managing several at a time, however ours can become unsettled by larger groups of dogs or people. Over time they may be able to feel more secure in them. Now, they are less sure. Josie handled any of their insecurities or fears well. She is very accommodating for their needs all around, including special allergy diets too. We are pleased to have met Josie and look forward to seeing Saint and her again. They are a pleasure.”

“Sara is amazing with Leo! He is so happy when he gets to go to her house and I always know he is well taken care of and has a blast. Will definitely keep asking Sara to hang with my boy!”

“I have been using Crista for several months now for daycare and boarding. My pup loves coming to Crista's daycare. And I feel very comfortable boarding my pup with her. He's very well taken care of and has grown fond of her daughter.”

“Stephanie was very kind and attentive to Biscotti's food, drink, and activity needs. She monitored B's social activity with her dog and two other "guest Rovers" diligently. Biscotti was calm, joyful, and appropriately tired after a full day of socialization. I would highly recommend Stephanie.”

“Dominique was so welcoming and took great care of our Scout. We were from out of town visiting our very elderly aunt and our 105 pound loving golden retriever couldn’t go to the retirement home. We found our sitter just 2 miles away and immediately felt comfortable with our texting before the trip. We highly recommend!”

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring her to care for my furry friends and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the moment we met, it was clear that she has a deep love and respect for animals, and it showed in the way she interacted with my dogs. I was able to enjoy my time away with complete peace of mind, knowing that my dogs were in great hands. When I returned, my dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-cared for. I can't recommend Sonja and Yolanda highly enough - if you're looking for responsible, caring, and trustworthy dog sitters, look no further!”

About: We have taken care of dogs since we were children and had pets of our own. We love to walk, play, relax with each dog and make sure they feel loved while their owner is away. We are trusted by family members and friends to watch their dogs while away and ensure they are taken care of. We both work from home, so we have a lot of flexibility in being able to fit pet care into our schedules. We are a young couple who love to hike and hang outdoors. We can work from anywhere and have a lot of flexibility during the days with our work schedule for anything the pet may need! We can take any notes from the owners on making sure your pet is cared for up to your standards in our home or your home! We live close by a lot of parks and we make sure we are ready for any pet's needs!

About: I have been a pet owner many times through my childhood and well into adulthood. I also worked for ‘Just Fur the Weekend’, a pet boarding company where I had the opportunity to foster lovely relationships between the pet owner and pets. Trust, quality care and comfort are very important to me! I am a stay at home mom with two kids under five. We are a pet lovers household. Between the three of us your pet will have a lot of fun playdates and quality time. Routine walks and playdates are essential to maintaining a healthy and active day. Potty training for indoor/outdoor pups and precision meal planning. If any meds are necessary, we’ll make sure we’re on the same page.

About: Dogs are life! Growing up, I have always had at least one dog that was part of the family. My love for these animals extended into college, where I began rescuing and fostering dogs with Circle of Friends Animal Society. I've been with them since 2010, and have personally rescued, trained, and adopted out 150+ dogs. Apart from my volunteer work with COFAS, I also worked for "Fetch the Leash" in Athens, GA. My time as an animal caretaker has allowed me to gain experience working with a variety of breeds and temperaments. The only thing greater than my knowledge of "mans best friend" is my PASSION for these animals. I currently have two dogs that I love dearly--I promise to love your furkids the same!

“Mariah was so incredible from start to finish with our sweet girl. We will definitely recommend to all friends who come through town and return to her each time we come through. She was son accommodating to our strange travel schedule.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Chattanooga commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
